The immunity challenge is standing on a buoy for the longest possible time kathy wins immunity. Rob and sean get into a altercation with john about trustworthiness. in a new twist the winner of the immunity challenge can gave it up (it only happens 4 times ever in the shows history) kathy keeps it and boston rob is voted out 7-2-1 over john and zoe but we will see rob in four more seasons of survivor as an contestant plus one as a mentor and twice on the amazing race.

Dannielle/dani leave their bag behind at the roadblock costing them time seperating from eric/jeremy and than going back to it. The next stop is noveldichiky monastry where the detour clue is cleaning a trolleybus at a hard to find location or searching through a lot of dolls for a clue the later is easier as its near impossible to find the trolley bus place. they race to st basils cathederial where they think it is a pit stop but when eric/jeremy arrive first they are told to keep racing and its a fake pitstop and given their next clue.

gina is overconfident that they voted out sean or rob for being threats and the rest of the maraamu tribe agree but are shocked when gabriel is found out to be voted out instead. In a close finish the maraamu win the jungle relay reward to win a feast after rotu where found to not have finished despite claiming they had. Paschal is especially shocked at the last tribal while rob and sean try and integrate themselves into johns allaince but both sides don’t really want to work together. John wants to throw the immunity challenge but isn’t able to patercipate in the immunity challenge which rotu win. facing tribal gina and kathy think of breaking up neleh and paschal but than get into a fight making neleh and paschal the swing votes and they vote out gina 3-1 on original tribal lines well gina made it two rounds further than she would have otherwise.

ash chikorita cyndaquil and todotile arrive at where the rescue teams are based they introduce themselves to the board incharge of the rescue teams they realise that they are chikorita cynadaquil and todotiles final evolved forms who say they are in charge of this district there is a higher up body they explain there responsabillities and that they can have help from other pokemon. Pidgeot asks if it can join the team and they say yes. chikorita cynadquil and todotile think they know the leaders but aren’t sure they return home.
the 10 teams depart sao paulo on their race around the world. they race to a big building in sao paulof for the roadblock of climbing and then repelling down a fire escape they than race to the bus stop to catch one of three buses to the town of brotas for the detour of making ethanol fuel or using accenders to climb a waterfall as usual the height challenge is easier teams struggle to drive stick and navigate the hippies win a trip to tahiti while lisa/joni can’t keep up and are eliminated.

ash misty and brock are on the outskirts of stone town when they find an abnadoned eevee with an address on it they return it to the address where a bunch of brothers are forcing there little brothers eevee (the one they found) to evolve but not sure which of the 3 evolutions at this point in the series to do it team rocket attack and steal most of the pokemon but thanks to mistys horsea they are able to save them from team rocket mikey (the boy) decides not to evolve his eevee the town is famous for its evolution stones as well.

“pikachus goodbye”
ash misty and brock arrive at a forrest full of pikachu where it takes a while to convince the pikachu they aren’t bad than it takes an effort to protect the pikachu from team rocket. Ash thinks that it would be better for pikachu to stay behind which supprises misty and brock but changes his mind when he sees how much pikachu wants to stay with him and the cheer from the wild pikachu.
next time the evolution pokemon eevee and an evoluiton festival.
with only four members maraamu know they will need to do well to even stay intact before the merge. while the rotu tribe try and allign their original members on rotu but gabriels reluctant which annoys john. The reward challenge invovles being blindfolded and searching for tiki pieces maraamu finally win the right to raid the other camp and finally win a challenge. They grab everything but a pot which makes a difference in the immunity challenge building a distress signal which sends rotu to tribal for the first time. Rob wants to take out john but needs gabriel and vecepias votes to join him and sesan it doesn’t work and they go with the majority in sending gabriel home 7-1.

They race around montreal to do the flying trapeze before and search for flight times for the next morning the weavers almost give up at this point in toronto where the flights land. and to the cn tower for a detour of climbing a ships mast or search for a woman wearing certain shoes. they cross back into the us for the final roadblock the weavers navigational errors put them way behind. the last roadblock is solving a jigsaw of north america map. the linzes win.

the four families are told to keep racing they race to a turtle ranch for a detour of either setting up a tepeee or a wagon a bit of a mixture who does what the next clue sends them to a hotel in wynoming followed by montana where they have a roadblock of searching for golf balls in a golf course. they drive to absarookee the pit stop where the godloskis fall short of being the first all-girl team to make the end of the race.
at this point in the series the godloskis have the most leg wins of an all female team (3) till season 11 and the equal highest finish with linda and karen of season 5.
next time the finale with a fake pit stop but will cover it in one article.

this episode was banned world wide due to a seizure incident so don’t watch it if you can find it anywhere. ash misty and brock arrive at a pokemon centre that is having a problem with the pokeball transfer system they along with a porygon have to fight team rockets one they are successful but when pikachu beats the vaccine it causes the seizures that banned the episode. Porygon has not appeared in the anime since or its evolved forms as a result.

today i am doing a retro tip review from my 2019 fiji holiday (my last overseas holiday). The resort is on a seperate island to the main island and is accessable by car from the airport with a conviant car service. The resort has been renovated since i was there so some of this might have been fixed. The reception has the main resturant and where you can check in/out for the sofitel as well as fiji airways flights from nadi airport. the room is pretty average but ok with a tv, wifi (but it is very very slow) charging ports and a few things. The pool is the highlight when not too busy its nice and relaxing just time it ok you need to get a towel from one of the staff. there are a few other food places in the resort which are good sometimes. The port also has a lot of food places and is accesable by hop on hop off bus that stops at all the resorts on the island. overall its an ok resort but has room to improve.

gina is upset about hunter being blindsided and knows she will be next if the tribe goes back to tribal as this tribe rob feels overconfident about his position in the tribe. however instead of a reward challenge we have a tribe swap with maraamu now featuring gina, sarah, kathy, neleh, and paschal (only one guy) while rotu has john, tammy, gabriel, robert, zoe, rob, sean and vecepia. almost immediately sarah is in trouble as gina bonds with the new tribe mates she gets lost and is considered weak. While rob and seans laziness annoys the old rotu tribe. the immunity challenge is solving a tapestry won by rotu. sarahs luck finally runs out and she is voted out 4-1 over kathy. now maraamu are at a major disadvantage in numbers and strength.
next time a big upset in a lot of ways and a raid.
the final 4 families race to a high school in park city utah for their next clue to build and ride in a hot air balloon and than a race to a railway line for the detour of either completing a part of track or delivering coal. before going to wyonming for the roadblock of horse riding they finish what they think is the leg at highway 287 only to be told its a fake pit stop.

ash and friends try and flee bad weather and find a weird mansion where they run into a girl named duplica and its ditto. The ditto can’t properally transform into other pokemon which makes their house of immitay (not sure on the spelling) not successful team rocket steal ditto and in an unusal twist is successful at getting it to transform properally ash misty and brock with duplica get ditto back after immitating team rockets motto. ash and friends say goodbye to duplica and continue their journey.

ash chikorita cyndaquil and totodile are almost at the village with the pidgeot helping them ash tries to figure out what the situation is when pidgeot says it knew ash when it was a human and ash had caught it but released it to help some pidgey and pidgeotto (spoiler alert sorry) but after fixing it returned to this world saying that ash was never meant to be human but thats all it knows. much to ashs shock and tells his friends about the dreams and they figure out that ash might have been sent to the human world for some weird reason. they arrive at the rescue teams base.

“the bridge bike gang”
ash misty and brock arrive at a bridge thats not quite finished heading to sunny town but the bike path is finished but it would take forever to walk. but nurse joy gives them her bikes to deliver medicine to a sick pokemon they agree but run into a bike gang on the bridge which battle ash and misty meanwhile team rocket reveal they used to be in said gang and where famous. Officer jenny turns up and the bike gang flee she agrees to help the gang get through but is called away and a big storm begins as they peddel team rocket attack with the bike gang but team rocket fail badly and ash finally convinces the bike gang to let them go as they have to deliver medicine which they do successfully.

maraamu are worried about their losing streak and sarah and gina get into an arguemnt about what happened at tribal with each others comments. Rotu are behaving like the love tribe and everyone gets along neleh and paschal have bonded and after getting bitten by an urchin john has to be peed on by kathy. The reward challenge is building and racing a raft for blankets and confort won by rotu again increasing their momentum. The immunity challenge is a concount maze puzzle which despite being close rotu win again. Rob and hunter discuss whose going home hunter wants to vote out sean but rob doesn’t trust him. ash misty and brock are finally in the safari zone where they run into the warden who threatens them but gives them park balls. Ash catches 30 tauros with all his park balls the warden tells them the storty of a dratini that lives in the safari zone it appears and helps them stop team rocket while evolving into a dragonair. Not much details.

They find a bunch of kangaskan being attacked by team rocket but a kid who is raised by the kangskan when his birth parents turn up in a helicoper leading to confusion with the kid unsure about the parents but after they risk their life to save tommy (the kid) and the kangaskan from team rocket it all ends well. ash and friends might eventually find the safari zone.

ash misty and brock are looking for the safari zone on their journey when they found the p1 pokemon ranch which is a famous place to raise pokemon where the owner laramie who owns a ponyta but before the race she gets hurt by dario her main rival forcing ash to race with ponyta against darios dodrio with team rocket helping dario it does not go well but ponyta evolves into rapidash and just wins the race.

They are about to agree when a spiritomb attacks the village and kidnaps some of the locals forcing ash, chikorita cyndaquil and todotile to head to the abandoned ruins to fight spirittomb who sends some of the locals after them which worries them but are able to take out the thing that makes them control them and the spirittomb flees but they than manage to get out before the ruins collapses a machamp appears and agrees to fix the ruins.

chapter 3 “the inspector”
ash is hanging out with his new friends in the town working on his quick attack when word arrives that the inspector from the rescue team group is visitning the town which makes them a lot nervous as they had only just started doing rescues properally. Word is the inspector is a meganium (the finally evolved form of chikorita) which makes them nervous as its known for being a hard critic. When they are called to take on an hypno who is hypnotising castform into crazy weather in a nearby forest they ask the hopip from the previous chapter to tell the inspector what’s going on. The hypno refuses to stop using hypnosis on the castform forcing them to battle he than hypnotisess a staraptor to fight them which is a toughmatch as chikorita is week against it and is too quick for cyndaquil and todotile so ash has to fight one on one but uses quick attack to overcome the speed gap and finishes it off than the meganium turns up says it was watching the whole time but it wasn’t a test but instead was ready to intervene if needed chikorita realises it knows meganium btu not sure from where. They return to the village and are given some rewards from meganium and the accosiation.
the 6 families depart panama for costa rica by bus the teams are still very much against the weavers they race to a volcano where an unaired fast forward is they race to an estate where the paolos yield the weavers the roadblock is searching for a certain coffee bean the gaghans finally run out of luck and struggle. the detour was grabbing relics of mayan ruins or grabbing bannanas the later was quicker but only the paolos do it the prize was a jetski the gaghans are eliminated.

ash and friends arrive in grimy city a town thats clearly poluted due to bad industrial things pikachu is sick so ash and friends take it to the pokemon centre where they discover it has a cold. team rocket try and sneak into the pokemon centre to steal pikachu when the power goes off. ash and friends head to the power station although they want pikachu to rest at the centre it followed them. They find the power station under threat from a grimer outbreak while a magnimite is stalking pikachu because the cold made it magnitized. Ash is able to stop the grimer and catches a muk (the evolved form of grimer) when the cold ends the magnamite stops stalking and it also stops team rockets plan. ash gives muk to professor oak and than they leave grimy city.

“first rescue”
last time ash is now a pikachu but has made friends with the johto starters in a village. Chikorita reveals to ash that they are a rescue team but have struggled to do anything outside of their village due to rules they need 4 members so ash agrees to help them until he finds out what happened to him and about that weird dream. when a hopip turns up hurt in the village saying there is a out of control manchoke just out of the village they agree to help take it out but ash is nervous about what attacks it knows but cyndaquil says the story of how long it took to master flamethrower. The manchoke attacks and its a tough battle but ash and cyndaquil defeat it ash uses thunderbolt and makes him proud not realising there being watched the rescue team organisation finally acknowedlges the team and ash agrees to stay.
note chikorita and cyndaquil are female totadile is male ash is obvioulsy male.
the 6 teams finally leave the us for panama city panama the gaghans goal of beating one team is still reasonable until the end. in panama they race across the panama canal the gaghans fall behind as do the linzes the next clue is the detour of eithe of looking for wooden birds or finding instruments and delivering them not sure whats easier the paolos do the bunggee jumping fast foward beating the gaghens there but the gaghans get a chance to catch up at the baseball roadblock but the godloksi sisters are last and its a non-elimation leg.

“the punchy pokemon”
ash misty and brock run into the punching pokemon hitmochan and thinking its wild try and catch it but fail when they find out its got a trianer its a quick for loss for pikachu the trainer anthony is preparing for the pokemon fighting type championship his daughter wants him to come home but can’t convinvce him to do so. so ash and brock enter the tornument as does team rocket stealing a hitmonlee (Note brock enters with geodude which is technically not a fighting type in the games but is in the trading card game appartently). anthony and brock lose and anthony realises he needs to be there for his family more. Ash and team rocket fight in the final primape (who finally listens to ash) vs hitmonlee ash wins despite team rocket trying to cheat. Ash gives his primape to anthony and the episode ends.
this is my most fanfiction story in a while this is based on both the pokemon anime and the pokemon mystery dunegon spin-off games. For those who don’t know in the pokemon mystery dunegon games at the start you are turned into a pokemon in an attempt to save the world of only pokemon.

Chikoritas best friends cydnerquil and todotile turn up and they decide to try and help ash not realising that it will bring their rescue team into more things that they would ever imagine.

Ash covers eventually blwon by pikachu so ash finally gets to battle the gym leader erica its a tough match btu team rockets scheme causes the gym to catch fire as the pokemon put it out ash decides to save the gym leaders pokemon which is stuck in there in the end the gym is saved and ash gets the rainbow badge.
covid is still the biggest issue currently with england recklessly reopening their whole economy way too early in my opinion as the cases are still out of control there. ash and friends return to safron city for ashs rematch. both misty and brock are worried about haunter and if its reliable this is proven true when it doesn’t help ash battle forcing him to flee but misty and brock don’t get away in time and become dolls. ash finds haunter trying to take out team rocket whose latest plan is pretty silly. but it doesn’t help ash in his latest attempt forced to battle with pikachu ash is at a disadvantage especially since kadabra knows recover but than haunter turns up and quickly wins the match not by battling but by jokes this fixes misty and brock. Ash gets his fourth badge and leaves with misty and brock for celadon city.

i am starting to write about old australian news that made the newspapers in melbourne (thanks to the state library of victoria for giving me the links and newsbank (i think) for publishing them) this is more of a summary and my modern take on the issues they do. i will also be doing sometimes a write up on the current issues of the day as well but this won’t be under the same title.

The next clue sends them to pureto rico san juan. rob and amber lead at tihs point and get a lead with a delayed flight but are caught up with the hours of operation. the final roadblock is a dive and swim to a clue rob and amber miss the flag but catch up the tricky bit is the flights to miami their final city which ends ron and kellys hopes with a later flight than the other two teams get on in uchenna and joyces case they are lucky as the door was shut at one point. uchenna/joyce pull ahead of rob/amber due to a non-spannish speakoing taxi cab driver in america (how does that happen). the last clue sends them to the finish line where uchenna/joyces money problems don’t cost them the million dollars.

ash and friends arrive in lavender tonw to catch a ghost type to battle sabrinas psychic types but its not that easy especially with the ghost types pranks. Ash is briefly dead at one point in the episode but is revived and gets the haunter (the mid evolution line ghost type). team rocket are stick in the tower.
the final 3 leave london for kingston jamacia on the same flight than race to fishermans cove for a limboing roadblock where the lower it goes the better time the next morning they than race. The next morning they race to a river for the detour of raft building and than climb to the top of the hill the pit stop is a long drive away a police stop and refueling means uchenna and joyce lose all their money in a non-elim.

diane is immeditaely sick on boran while the other tribe are quickly split by age with the young and old even in numbers not a good sign.
