ash and friends arrive on naval island where the next gym is and meet a guy named danny the instructions say that challengers at the gym have to climb up to participate in the battle when they found out danny is the gym leader it is a 3 round match first is using ice beam to make a sled which ash loses than carving the sled which ash somehow wins thanks to charizard. The third round is a race down on teh sled which ash wins getting him his second gym badge.
