the 5 teams depart dubrovnik for ancona italy via bus to split croatia and than a boat to ancona which catches the teams up. The next clue asks them to drive to an airfield in empoli italy there are two routes but one is closed due to road work making those teams behind and have to go the long way. Only nathan and jennifer and tk and rachel get to empoli before it opens in the morning the roadblock is looking for a sign “vinci” from an ultralight there is also the only fast forward of the season getting a tatoo which nathan declines to get so nicholas and donald get it. The other teams race to vinci for a detour of doing a complicated flag routine kynt and yvxsins disaster of driving continues leading to a massive melt down. They than race to florence where tk and rachel have car problems but the goths are last and a new twist will await them in the next leg the speed bump for coming in last on a non-elim.
