“love pokemon style”
ash is reminded about how the next stage of the tornoument will work in a round robbin format 3 points for a win 1 for a draw 0 for a loss. ash meets his first oponent macey who specialises in fire type pokemon but team rocket steal ash’s pikachu and macey’s vulpix but ash takes a risk and gets them back for them. but in the preparation for match ash’s kingler (he got his old pokemon sent for the comp) gets injured luckily officer jenny brings his squirtle to help him compete. totodile battles macey’s slugma andweakes it. macey uses her weapon for water type her electrabuzz but that starts off badly when ash switches to phanpy a ground type which takes no damage from electric attacks so macey switches back to slugma who loses but ash loses phanpy and todotile to quilava and electrabuzz respecitively. so squirtle has to beat both but it does giving ash 3 points and the lead in the group.
next time a weird show off from new bark town battles ash but does the rivaliry extend to the pokemon before it starts.
