ash and friends continue their journey to resburo city when they encounter a bunch of treecko with two of them arguing over a tree that is in a bad state. ash bonds with the one that wants to keep the tree but team rocket attack to try and steal them but fail. ash ends up catching treecko (one of the starter pokemon of hoenn)
