5 teams depart grindewald switzerland for dresden germany by train and the ministry of finance and a ford fusion. they end up equal on the trains with teams rightfully questioning caroline/jennifers strategy. joey/meaghen want a better placing than they have had on the train bates/anthony lose their bag which will make them quicker. in dresden they grab cabs max/katie are 1st to get the clue answeing 3 questions about berlin they get their next clue they think kennedy said tear down the wall but it was reagen the second guess he directed it to gurbachov the last question is where did he say it in berlin the brandenburg gate (not only famous in history but also for a shoving incident in season 6). joey/meaghen and caroline/jennifer are next there. the other teams turn up just as those two are finishing. caroline/jennifer are guilty not giving the answer but they catch up. the next clue sends them to the parkinn hotel rooftop as the other alligned teams get seperated. the next task is face flying which is scary. joey/meaghen are 2nd mona/beth are 3rd to the task. caroline/jennifer are last to that clue. the next clue is a detour of “train trials’ of setting up a model train track doing it on track will get them the clue “font folies” requires teams to transport two letters to a museum of letters but if they break they have to switch detours i think. max/katie choose font folies. joey/meaghen choose train trials. max/kaite choose the o and b to carry and the weight isn’t too bad. mona/beth choose font follies as does bates/anthony and carolien/jennifer. the train task is at a transport museum and is tricky but not that physical. max/katie get the clue sending them to a weird place at a salon which is horryifing for them. the roadblock is identifiying who said a famous quote and than search a labyrinth for the white room where there clue is. katie takes it the answer to the question is john f kennedy. bates/anthony break a letter meaning they have to swtich due to anthonys breaking. the pitstop is a hard to spell place but is the fifth avenue of berlin. as mona/beth finish the detour in 2nd. joey/meaghen are on their 7th attempt at the train task and get it and know where to go. caroline/jennifer get the detour in 4th. max/katie win the leg and ford fusions. joey takes the roadblock as mona/beth are lost. joey doesn’t know german but figures it out quickly and gets through the task in 2nd. bates/anthony have trouble at the trains. caroline/jennifer are 3rd to the roadblock jennifer does it. bates/anthony finally finish the detour while mona/beth are quite lost. mona/beth arrive 4th at the roadblock beth takes it as bates/anthony catch up and anthony takes it. it leads to a footrace to avoid last and the guys are 4th mona/beth though aren’t going anywhere as its a non-elim leg.
