8 teams depart bangkok for munich germany after laura/tyler enjoy date night during the pitstop. the next stop is a clothing shop to get an october fest clothes. the flight lands at 645am. the next clue after climbing a tower sends them to a weird place by driving themselves by ford focus. the car is stick shift laura/tyler trade cars and leave their bag beind. bergen/kurt can’t drive at all stick and this causes problems most teams figure it out quickly. jeff/jackie find laura/tylers bag as they argue. aly/steves car has gps which gives them an advantage as bergen/kurt are having a lot of trouble and with paranoia. the other blind date couples aren’t getting along at all. aly/steve are 1st to get the clue of driving through a winter wonderland in the ford focus in reverse to piece together their clue. laura/tyler are 2nd and figure out reverse but realise there bag is mising. the next clue sends teams to schilersee. laura/tyler figure out schilersee but wait for the right car to get their bag. bergen/kurt give up on the stick drive and will get a unknown heard of penalty and bergen is upset because he doesn’t want to give up. aly/steve are miles ahead at this point despite having issues rowing and the next clue is a detour of “stein” teams must carry bear in a bavarian way if they get it without dropping their clue. ‘stack” requires teams to build a tower of 15 crates. laura/tyler are wasting time waiting for jeff/jackie (there lucky it wasn’t bergen/kurts car). aly/steve do stein and get it quickly and are sent to a museum for their next clue. bergen/kurt take a two hour penalty for not using the car (only hope is jeff/jackie never turn up with laura/tylers pasports). the next task is the roadblock of singing a german tune to their partner. aly is doing the roadblock (no other team has started on the detour). hayley/blair choose stein. jeff/jackie lie to laura/tyler about the fanny pack but luckily laura/tyler find theirs. jaylani/jenny turn up not long after jeff/jackie. aly has trouble with the singing. hayley/blair start on the beer and have trouble the first time. mike/rochelle are even more lost than anyone else. ally gets it before anyone else turns up at the roadblock (or finishes the detour) the pitstop is lake shingese. matt/ashley choose stein and get it quickly as hayley/blair struggle and constantly disagree about strategy and switch to stack. aly/steve win the leg with a big lead and won a ford focus. ashley does the singing roadblock and fails the first time. jeff/jackie do stack as is jaylani/jenny and laura/tyler. mike/rochelle are still quite a bit behind finidng the museum of the winter task. matt/ashley are well in 2nd place. mike/rochelle are finally doing the winter task and are 7th out of it due to bergen/kurts penalty. the stack teams finish as bergen/kurts penalty ends. laura, jackie, jenny and blair do the roadblock. mike/rochelle do stack. jackie gets the clue next than jenny, blair and laura. bergen/kurt take the train but are so lost now (literally) that there is no chance they choose stack where mike/rochelle still are as the other teams finish the leg. mike does the roadblock and they finish 7th. phil eliminates bergen/kurt at a train station.
