ash and friends are a bit lost in a forrest finding their way towards vermilion city leading to another argument between ash and misty when they take a break they spot an oddish (a grass/posion type) ash wants to catch it but misty insists on it and battles it with starmie just as she is about to catch it a bulbasaur tackles it beating starmie so ash tries to catch the bulbaasaur with butterfree but it doesn’t work and the bulbasaur gets away with the oddish. in the next scene ash misty and brock fall off a bridge thats not on the map and brock falls to the river but ash and misty climb to safety they than fall into a tree after falling into a hole when bulbasaur shows up than brock finds them and gets them down. meanwhile team rocket are looking for a hidden village. we find out brock was saved by a girl named meleonie who runs a place for abandoned pokemon and she tries to protect the pokemon with the traps (which we see team rocket fall in as well). misty tries to apologise to the oddish but this only leads to a argument between her and ash that leads to bulbasaur trying to protect oddish. team rocket appear to attack with a flying stadium to grab all the pokemon with a hose but ash and friends get the pokemon into a building and than pidgeotto uses gust to get rid of them. ash than on melonies insistance tries to catch bulbasaur using pikachu to battle which has pikachu win by shocking it and than ash catches bulbasaur they say goodbye to meleonie and continue their journey.
