survivor borneo episode 1

just a note i am going back to the begining of my survivor write ups. 16 players are marrooned in borneo split into two tribes.

tagi – sonya, stacy, dirk, sean, susan (sue), rudy, kelly and richard

pagong – bb, ramona, joel, gretchen, greg, jenna, gervase and colleen

the 16 players start by walking through a malaysian fishing village before heading to borneo where they will spend 39 days. on a boat the 16 players start salvaging supplies which takes a while and leads to a lot of team work. jeff probst the host explains the rules saying they must vote someone out every 3 days. tagi reach theior beach two hours after the start and are quite excited. rudy who is 72 is already worried about his age being a factor. pagong take longer to get to shore but do get there with ramona exhuasted and is quite exhausted. tagi decides to discuss how to set up shelter but disagree on strategy while richard watches and tries to bring the team together. richard is a bit arroagant in confession though but still tries to bring the team together. on pagong bb and ramona go looking for the water hole and try and figure out the map which bb wants to use as a bargining tool. rudy realises that he has to fit in with the younger crowd. sean reveals he is a doctor and helps sonja with her injury to her leg. sonja entertains the tribe with bye bye blues on a ukelle which impresses richard. bb is getting annoyed at the tribes work ethic and is especially annoyed at joel and gets into an argument with gretchen over it. both tribes work on fire which is not easy without flint. jeff (the host) explains treemail and the first challenge is for reward (water proof matches) and immunity. the challenge is quest for fire which is an obstacle course race lighting torches as you go. its a close race but sonja falls costing tagi the challenge sending them to tribal. facing tribal the vote is between sonja and rudy the oldest members of the tribe stacy tries to get the girls to allign but sues against the idea richard wants to vote stacy. at tribal they start the ritual of lighting torches. the conversation starts on the trek to tribal and sonja says the competition is harder than she thought. in the end sonja is voted out 4-3-1 (sue, dirk, rudy and sean vote for her) (stacy, kelly and sonja vote for rudy) (richard votes for stacy).

next time bb wants out already and they eat disgusting food.
