day 37 the tagi four are pretty releaved to get this far with kelly still on the choppin block if she doesn’t win immunity richard feels comfortable with his posiiton. and the tribe are counting the hours till the end and most are uncomfortable. tree mail indicates a challenge that is about remebering the 12 voted out and it will be at tribal. the challenge is quiz about the voted out tribe members and what happened during the game. kelly wins the immunity sparing her again from being voted out despite sue getting the better start richard had no chance into the last question. the vote ends a tie betwen richard and sue on gender lines 2-2. kelly changes her vote on the revote sending sue home 2-0 after pleading their case to kelly and rudy. at 4am the next day the tribe is woken up to do a ceremony followed by walking past the staffs of the former contestants and than the final immunity challenge which is hands on a hard idol. richard is first out after giving a speech saying he wouldn’t win mimunity. rudy accidently takes his hand off the idol so kelly wins her 4th immunity which is still the record for a woman in the shows history (only equalled 3 times). kelly has to make the decision of who to take to the final 2. rudy thinks it was a dumb move stepping down from the immunity challenge. in the end rudy is voted out with kellys vote. the contestants sum up their 39 days and how hard it has been before faicng the jury. unusally we hear from the jury about how they are thinking in the lead up to tribal. we start with opening speeches which kelly says she is not a politican or to campaign and says its a game and doesn’t take things personally and says the best person might not be sitting there. richard says he takes a different approach and says about strategy from the start and how he got through the votes. the questions gervase asks what they would change about how they played richard says he was too comfortable in trusting while kelly says forming an alliance. jenna asks who they would put in their place richard says rudy (Due to loyality) and greg while kelly says gretchen and sonja (Neither of whom were on the jury). sean says that kelly was capable and keeping the camp afloat and says richard was good company and teaching him about himself. colleen asks what character traits they need to get to this point kelly says faith, strong will and likabillity richard says self awareness, observation (despite donig badly at the quiz). rudy says he feels dumb after losing the challenge the day before. greg asks to pick a number between 1 and 10 richard says 7 kelly says 3. sue gives a famous speech which is over the top critical of kelly and a bit rude and talks about rats and snakes as well saying richard should win. we have closing remarks from richard and kelly (with kelly apoligizing and decides not to turn on sue), richard says he did what he needed. we see rudy, sue and sean vote for richard and colleen, jenna and gervase vote for kelly we don’t see gregs vote. at the reading of the votes we find greg cast the deciding vote for richard meainng richard wins 4-3 over kelly.
the reunion is hosted by brian gumble (unlike all but the first 4 which are hosted by jeff probst). the questions start on if richmond is a different person and we find out richard wasn’t liked by the audience kelly says she is over the issue with sue. sean explains why he voted for rich in a weird way. colleen and gervase both admit they changed there vote. while greg says 9 was the magic number. sue talks about kellys wishywatchiness. joel and gervase argue over the cow comment. we see a disturbing audition video from sean. the debate on if alliance is if its a fair thing. they also talk about the experience on the island. the poll done by the audience the majority say richard didn’t deserve to win rudy was the most popular of the final 4 with sue the least. richard appartenly played fair but narrowly wouldn’t do the same thing. we get a preview for season 2 the australian outback.
future appearences jenna, sue, richard and rudy return for all-stars (season 8) gervase returns for blood vs water (Season 27) and kelly erturns for cambodia second chance (season 31). bb and rudy have since the show passed away in 2013 and 2019 respectively.
