a pirate is after a manaphy egg but a pokemon ranger gets it back and gives it to the people of the sea who meet ash and friends who they help get water to. but the pirate tries to steal it again and at some point the egg hatches into the legendry pokemon manaphy which bonds with may which worries the ranger and eventually leads to him trying to seperate them so it can return to the sea using body swap techniques. it all ends well and may says goodbye to manaphy and returns it to the ocean.
