russell is worried that his alliance are out of energy in terms of beating brett in the challenge.with natalie likely the back up target. brett wins immnity again the third striaght time. russell decides to spare natalie as jaison is uselss in challenges and mick is a bigger jury threat. in the end beating brett is the biggest prioirty and an angry jaison is blindsided 4-1 over mick becoming the 8th juror. russell makes sure brett won’t vote him out if he wins again after the rites of passage. the final endurance challenge is down to russell and brett with russell winning holding a pole the longest. russell considers forcing a tie but in the end bretts voted out 3-1 over mick becoming the 9th and final juror. the jury questioning is quite suprising other than shambo they are hard on russell (shambo is hard on natalie and mick). brett wins this seasons weirdest question to mick. we find out the finalists are pretty well off at the time. but erik sums up the jury mood with a very pro natalie speech which is unheard of at the time (at least 3 jurors later do it in other seasons). natalie wins 7-2-0 (with shambo and john voting for russell no one votes for mick). the reunion spends time with russell trying to buy the title of sole survivor from natalie only consolation is he wins the fan favourite award. but we don’t get much on the strategy. we also get a preview for survivor 20 heroes vs villans.
russell h returns next season for heroes vs villans as well as redemption island, russell s retunrs for phillapines, laura returns for blood vs water, monica returns for cambodia second chance. russells nephew brandon competes twice in his own right. lauras daughter ciera competes three times.
