6 teams are moved from the sahara to gabes tuinisa before leaving the pitstop. the first clue sends them to the palace hotel in tunis 300 miles away by taxi. the next clue sends them to rome italy by plane and find a clue near the coloseum getting flights is quite hard though. joe/bill book a flight arriving 750pm via zurich which is sold out when kevin/drew try and book it (after threatening joe/bill didn’t help). but at the last minute kevin/drew get tickets for themselves nancy/emily and rob/brennan via lyon france supposed to arrive first. frank/margarita go via london and than geneva (therre was no connection from london) arriving last into rome. lenny/karyn wait all day and get a direct flight. luck runs out for the 3 teams going together firstly joe/bill block the entrance to the gates and a slight physical altercation but it gets worse for them when air france cancels the connecting flight putting them just ahead of frank/margarita after getting to milan and taking the train. the next clue is a detour of “foot” a easy to find monument or “hoof” a horse statue with taxis nearby which makes it better. foot opens 30 miutes earlier though the next morning evening out the teams. the airport incident isolates joe/bill on the spot only lenny/karyn do foot but production diifficultiies put them behind despite it opening earlier the next clue sends them by train to castelfrranco emila via bolonga must travel by train all the way but frank/margaita and joe/bill change to a taxi in bologna giving them an advantage (and a time penalty). nancy/emily due to limited cabs lose time letting the guys go ahead. the roadblock is driving a small italian car through the street to the pitstop while your partner gets a ride in a sport car. the penalities don’t make a difference nor a time credit but its a non-elim leg sparing lenny/karyn.
