7 teams depart the pitstop in russia for the hermitage by train and looking for the return of the proidgal son painting. they are then sent to cairo egypt by plane and the tower of cario colin/christie book a flight arriving at 225pm all the other teams are due at 315pm (linda/karen have a tighter connection due to going to wrong airport). in paris colin/christie change to a way better flight arriving 235am (that is 12 hours earlier than they were supposed to) kami/karli barely get there. charla/mirna also change their iteniary to arriving 225pm giving them a 50 minute advantage this is critical. the tower of cario doesn’t open till 9am colin/christie use their lead for the fastforward carrying a socphicous to a temple they arrive at the pitstop 3 hours before charla/mirna get to egypt nearly at the sphinx. the other teams go to the giza pleatu and a shaft for a roadblock repleing into the shaft for a bunch of puzzle pieces which mirna makes charla do. linda/karen and marshall/lance have injury problems. after solving the puzzle they find the detour clue in the pleatu for a detour of transporting rock accross a big area which is physically hard. “hump and ride” is leading camels through a path which is easier but closes at 530pm and only charla/mirna are able to do it. chip/kim lose 3rd by helping kami/karli get to the detour. linda/karen are last but spared by a non-elim leg but must give up all their money in their possession.
