in vermilion city they get lyra registered for the contest and are told to visit the pokemon fan club where it is quite busy due to a popular coordinator visiting and asks lyra to show off her skills which she does and than says that she has potentional and says she will be a guest judge of the vermilion contest. during the night lika ends up quite sick again and her medication is stolen and they find back at the fan club where ryan is revealed to have stolen it to take out the competition officer jenmny arrests him over this but is quickly baled out and then calls for help to attack the katchems b.
