anime review dragon ball z last anime review for 2024

today i am reviewing one of the most popular and famous animes of all time dragon ball z. this continues the story a bit after the origianl dragon ball (which i will likely cover in the new year) with goku now a dad but the world is under threat from aliens called the sayians who are an evil race who turned out to be originally where goku is from they originally send gokus brother who is killed by picollo but kills goku in the process so they send their strongest warriors for revenge (acctually their only others but they are strong) goku trains to get stronger in the afterlife before being wished back to life by the dragon balls while his son gohan is trained by piccolo but when goku is late back to earth the other z fighters are killed except krillian and gohan (picolos death also means they can’t be wished back to life) but goku kills nappa and somehow spares vegeta to wish their friens back they head to picolos home planet namek where they have to deal with the sayians boss the strongest fighter frieza and his subordinates including zarbon and the ginyu force and than when goku fnially defeats frieza he barely escapesa the planet in time as frieza set an attack that wil ldestroy it (the rest were saved by the dragon balls frieza barely survives and dies later). after a couple of filler sagas feautring garlic jr from one of the movies than the reveal of the next major foe the androids which are quite tough and goku is having heart problems at this stage with help from a future trunks he does recover but the androids are tough than a disgusting creature named cell appears on the scene to try and absorb the androids despite the z fighters best efforts he succeeds and almost destroys earth but gohan beats him after a couple more filler sagas the next major villian majin buu is introduced controlled sort of by badibi this is very tough even when the fighters fues together he is tough but after a long effort including him absorbing the fighters and destorying the earth they succeed. sorry for the long story there is a lot more i won’t cover because of time constraints great claasic anime i have watched it for 20 years and still love it. 9.5/10
