an md-80 departs detroit for calfornia via phoneix but barely gets airborne and crashes killing all but one person on board. the cause was the crew deactivating the takeoff config warning and the circut breaker for the stall meant they didn’t know that the plane didn’t have its flaps set and the plane stalled.
