the hawks again dominated 19 wins despite a shock loss to the bears late in the year joining them were the dons, cats dees and pies iin finals with the spoon going to richmond with the bears finsihing above eagles for the first of only two times.

an awful season only picking up towards the end winning 7 games only kicking 1.12 in one goal and finishing 11th.
finals summary
after the dons beat the cats in the qual final by 76 points and lost to the hawks in the semi it was only a question of if the dons would win by as much well the margin was bigger in the prelim but it was reversed the cats won by 94 (a 170 point turn around in two weeks) and in one of the all time grands the hawks won their 8th flag holding on by a goal.
