history – one of the worlds biggest airlines the airline was formed by a merger by the british carrers in the 70s has had several famous near misses but are generally very safe as an airline.

hubs – heathrow, gatwick.

destinations – for a long time where only european carrier flying to australia sydney (via singapore formerly bangkok) they serve 70==70 destinatinons in all contninents including 27 in the us and 8 domestic.

routes examples – heathrow to jfk sydny via singapore lax, dubai, gatwick to bangkok. used to serve manchester to jfk as well as city with an a318.

alliance – one world.

aircraft – a320, 787, 777, they used to fly 747s until 2020 and a318s for a while. a350 andd a380 a319 are used.

accidents – no fatal one for years but have had 3 famous near scares flight 9 (volcanic ash caused engines to fail in 1982) flight 5390 (captain sucked out and survives in 1990/94) and flight 38 (engine faliure in 2008)

flight experiences – used them in 2019 to singapore not a bad airline and is ok. used them for a few flights in 2000 but too long ago to remeber.
