a fairchild metroliner departs hanover for dusseldorf on febuary 8 1988 just before dawn with a young crew with 2500 hours flying planes. the weather forecast is good apart from thunderstorms near landing but only 10 percent chance. the plane is deiced with 19 passengers on board and no flight attendant. the plane takes off at 715am 15 minutes late. 10 minutes after takeoff they are at curising altitude of 14000 feet for 15 minutes. the crew notice weather on the radar and they check the atis. despite the weather they think they will be landing in 15 minutes. they are 3rd in queque and are cleared to 3000 feet. 3 miuntes later they are on the localizer and are lined up with the center line they check the weather and a thunderstorm is right in front of them. they are handed to tower control but they diseapear from radar and are out of control but barely recover a mimute later th eplane is even more out of control and breaks up in flight killing all on board. the aircraft had old black boxes which didn’t help the investigation. the wreckage indicates an in flight break up and they are convinced of this. it looked like an overload fracture the flight path seemed normal until the last few minutes when they flew eractically causing the overload. the controller reports the tunderstorms that they encounter as well as moderate icing and turbullance but no other go arounds but a plane did get hit by lightning 6 miles from the field from a luthtansa 737. but lightning can’t bring a plane down these days and the crew knew about it so the weather likely wasn’t the cause. they find the black boxes failed as it started flying eractically meaning a power failure. the likelihood is very low but is possible and look at it effecting the instruments which makes them think they couldn’t see the instrument due to lighting. they look at the light bulbs they find that they were broken so it was a total power failure they suspect the lightning. they find evidence of lighting strike and figure out it was from the left side of the fuelasage forward of the wing and find the power lines were just behind that spot. they find no evidencce of electrical overload or arcing. they look at the diodes and they check if its working and find no difference in the low resistence on the flow. but they find the cracks in the diode and figure out that 1000 volts is requireed for it to crack and it was clearly lightning which is much more powerful but the odds are next to impossible. they also look into the why the crew flew into the storm which is against policy. the cvr says that the crew figurd out the weather half way through but thinks it wasn’t looking too bad and the atis didn’t say anthing so the crew thought they were fine and assume best case secnario. 11 minutes later they are told about the lightning strike the crew should have aborted the landing but they didn’t as they thought it looked ok and then break the sterile cockpit rule. they notice they are left of the center line on the captains insisstance and the fo is insisiting on landing and is confused at the captains instructions so the captain turns straight into the thunderstorm. they look into the pilots records and find the captain was the less experienced on the type then the fo this leads to distrust between the pilots. there is confusion over how the pilots handled the alittude just before the power failure. the captain rushes the flap settings causing the plane to climb leading to more errors by the captain on the controls causing a nose heavy position when they got hit by the lightning and the captain wasn’t prepared and there is nothing in the manual for this. they couldn’t even communicate with the power failure and the noisy cockpit meaning they were doomed even with controls and engine power but itt would have been near impossible to control. this meant the plane was out of control and broke up. the main conclusion is that it was pilot error.

a atr 72 is approaching phakuru airport in nepal for yeti airlines in the himilaya mountains with a passenger filiming the flight as they decend through 12500 feet for the airport with an experienced crew in clear conditions and they expect a visual landing the captain is the widow of another pilot but the captain a woman isn’t expereinced in the aircraft. the crew are told to expect runway 12 for landing and are cleared for the approach. the passenger who is live streaming is indian and this is highly unusal. they have to avoid mountains in the area but they are visiual and are in sight. less than two minutes from the airport and configure the landing gear and disconnect auto pillot and start a cruical turn and set the flaps and only a minute form touchdown go through the checklist. just as they are about to land the fo realises the engines have no power all of a sudden and they won’t get any power 400 feet from the ground. the crew realise it is serious even pushing the engines to the limit but there is no torq a key indication the fo takes control as the more experienced pilot and they stall and crash just short of the runway and the crash it self somehow was live streamed but the streamer the pilots and everyone else is dead. only 1 body isn’t identified. it was the deadliest crash of the airline. the wreckage and the black boxes are sent to france and singapore due to nepals limited facitilies. they look at the orientation of the aircraft and find the left wing hit the ground first. the crash itself going viral in a video showing the left wing had already lost lift and was banking at the time of the crash indicating a stall. the design of the approach is also a concern as they were on their last left turn making them worried but it isn’t the crew mishandling the turn. matience checks out and the controller didn’t know anything and he didn’t know anything was wrong till the crash itself and an alarm in the tower the controller even asks the investigator what he thinks happened. a witness who is an enginneer reports the propeller spinning very slow at the time of the crash a key lead and it sounds like engine failure. investigators notice on a propeller hub that it looks feathured which means it isn’t working as they aren’t producing thrust and was stuck there but not all the propellers are which makes them think is an automatic resposnse to a failure. but the auto feather didn’t activate meaning a pilot did. they look at the engine controls they find the witness marks that the controls were positioned at that position on the left side but not the right. the fdr is required to settle the debate and the results are shocking with the engines at idol but key indications dropped a minue before the crash. they need to figure out how they made the mistake. they look at the cvr and find they were feathured when the auto pilot was disconnected and were on decent but figure out the pilot did it when he was supposed to change the flaps. they look into the pilots and find they weren’t drunk at the time of the crash. they look into fatigue and find they had adequette rest and no medical issues and find the controls are confusing. think they could have messed up which is which. the last minute runway change which at a new airport is supicious as the fo was instructing the captain about the new airport and also he made the error. even though they could have recovered the crew didn’t follow the checklist. the crew knew the engines had problems but didn’t figure out the real problem.

windroe flight 836 is heading to an airport in the norweigan sea its a twin otter to vaeroy airport on approach to runway 25 with 11 people on board. it was the only time the captqain flew into the airport as the crew prepare to land they know the airport has unpredictable winds they have the runway in sight it hits turbulance and the captain takes control and they do a go around but they hit a downdraft and its tough to recover and they roll over heading towards the mountains but barely recover but the pilots are exhausted and decide to divert to rust this leads to a safe landing somehow with the pilots upset at what happened and they try and make the airport safer with wind speed limits and install wind speed monitors but this doesn’t stop another accident for the airline flight 839 takes off from the airport on easter weekeend 1990 with only 5 people on board cleared to 5000 feet with 34 knot gusts as they take off at 243pm as they raise the flaps 10 seconds after takeoff a strange noise is heard and this leads to control issues which they can’t identify and the nose drops sealing the fate of all on board 63 seconds after takeoff.only 6 and a half kms from the airport the captains remains are never found. an investigator from canda is shocked at the closeness of the mountains. the controller doesn’t report anything wrong and a short turn around of 15 minutes and she explains the winds and they turned into the clouds just before they crashed and a distresss signal and a bang. the impact way was obvious from the wreckage as it was nose first it wasn’t engine failure. they suspect correctly its a problem in the tail but initally suspect it was in the crash but there is an issue with the connecting rod and send it to metalurgy. they look into the planes history and it was purchased 14 years ago with maitence day of hte crash with no issue. there was confusion over the banding from sideways bending which is highly unusal making them think it broke in flight uncontroably which caused the elevator to break in flight. the cvr reveals when it broke as the flaps went up the crew knew something was wrong immediately and they can’t figure out the source of a cllattering sound they also notice that the propellers are out of sync and it was obviously turbulance from the wind and the crash was only 10 seconds after the upset so the crew had no chance. the mountains and winds are suspected and they investigate it and look into the near miss 15 mounths earlier that recovered which was a similar altitude. they figure out there were no wind readings on the mountain at the time of the crash as it was taken down due to repair and never reinstalled and was taken out of service 3 days before the accident meaning that taking off was risky and out of range. the crew would have been nervous with the limits being out of limits. but decide to take off when its calm according to the wind socks and the weather clearing. and figure out the winds were strong enough to destroy the plane. they consider get there itis as a cause that they wanted to get home quickly. the airlines decision to cancel flights due to the wind change was also a factor and the passengers weren’t happy with goverenment also paying them to fly there and bribed them to keep the flights going. they question the airport being built there which was only 4 years before the crash in fact the airline did not recomend it but the goverenment did. the airport has shut as a result of the crash and is the shortest lived airport probably in the world.

jenna lewis doughety – borneo (8th) all stars (3rd) only remebered in borneo for not getting her loved ones video in all-stars she was remebered for leading the anti-winner settement and turning on rupert at final 4 after 42 seaaons she is back and will be interesting to see how she goes if she doesn’t talk too much is quite likeable to the cast. did she earn her spot yes as they needed someone from borneo. positive/negative view positive just.

colby donaldson – australian outback (runner-up) all stars (12th) heroes vs villians (5th) – interesting the same positions just not in the same order as former rival and 50 castway coach. he was a challenge beast and well liked a long time ago but i was never a fan he still holds the equal immunty record from season 2 of 5 immunities but not reported much is his villianous game play especially betraying jerri and mitchell in season 2 (as well as hatch in season 8). challenge wise he is much worse in his last two seasons but will be interesting to see how he goes. did he earn his spot questionable without jerri as this is the first time hes playing without her. positive/negatigve never liked him so negative.

stephenie lagrosa (not giving updated last nmaes for everyone) – palau (7th) gutamala (runner-up) heroes vs villians (19th) – her underdog story in palau where she was the only member of her tribe to make the merge and her popularity is why she is back despite a bit villianious in gutamala will be interesting to see how she goes hope her shoulder doesn’t hurt again. positive

cirie fields – panama (4th) micronesia (3rd) heroes vs villians (17th) game changers (6th) – the so called best player to never win because everytime she plays she doesn’t loe normally and has a strong social game is half true but none of her seasons she was guranteed a win in front of a jury and her challnege record is awful as well early target clearly also even though 3 of the 4 heroes vs villians representivities are from the heroes id say game play wise none of them are with stephenie being the closest. my opinion on her is negative but not majorly.

ozzy lusuth – cook islands (runner up), micronesia (9th), south pacific (4th), game chanegrs (12th) – always been a big fan of him the challenge king winninng 5 immunities in cook islands 2 immunities and 6 redemption island duels in south pacific while his game play hasn’t been brilliant and has a bit of arroagence he is very likeable. positive acctuallly he is my favourite player in this cast from past seasons.

coach – tocantins (5th), heroes vs villians (12th), south pacific (runner-up). now to someone who some find entertaining but is one of my most hated players ever (strangely enough not my most hated on this cast). he has been a hypercritical liar in his seasons not going there but really can’t sttand him. negative worse male in the cast.

aubry – kaoh rong (runner-up), game changers (5th), edge of extinction (15th?). – people think she shoould have won kaoh rong i don’t think so i don’t mind her and another player i’m supprised to see back interesting to see her against cirie again i guess. positive just.

chrissy – heroes vs healers vs hustlers (runner-up) i put her ahead of cirie in the best to never win stakes (but not my first pick for the award), she dominated the late game challenges winning 4 immunities for a woman only 5 others have done that (one of which is in this cast) and would have won had it not been for production riging it for ben. positive

christian – david vs goliath 7th. – my view on him is he can be irritating but his part in some of the bad votes offs that season hurts him but hes not the worse of the nerd archetype. negative jsut.

angelina – david vs goliath 3rd – now to my 3rd most hated player ever and my most hated woman she is annoying demanding and rude and just can’t stand her (in case your wondering the only players ever i hate moare are dan spilo (due to the touching and his behaviour) and my most hated is philliip sheppard (for many reasons). negative

mike – david vs goliath runner up – still more memorable for his amazing race appearencs for me but was a strong game player. positive

rick – edge of extinction 4th – known for being the ben who fell short with that strategy who played a strong game with idols but terrible social i don’t like him. negative

emily 45 7th – lucky early on my memory of her is a bit mixed but lucky not to be first boot. positive

The coalition have split again due to the nats selfishness which might lead to the libs finally trying to move to the center. Air canada to launch saporo flights.

a private charter jet crashes on approach to aspen coloardo with inexpericened pilots with the airline avjet the passengers are a bunch of friends who charted it. the crew know they can’t land not much after dark they decend for the runway which is challenging the crew seem too relaxed and its a visual approach which is tricky at night and with poor weather. they only have enough fuel for one attempt before having too divert and the controller hears another flight is going around in the weather and tells all crew that it missed the approach. as the weather gets worse they are told for a vor/dme approach. two minutes from landing they need to identify the runway and can see it 1000 above the field but then realise they are too low and crash short of the runway there are no survivors 2400 feet from the runway. the decent profile is the main concern as was the bank to aavoid crashing 49 degrees bank is the worry as is the control of the pilots. the engines were working. the approach is studied which is a step down apporach. it was decending too fast but the pilots has a spotless record and fatigue is not an issue. the weather was so bad that the controller was confused. they figure out that the passengers had been presuring the crew to land despite the conditions. the rcew were nervous about the delayed passengers causing issues with a 7pm curfew even calling the crew about the possible diversion issues. the interesting thing is they crashed after curfew. it proves that money and food is not worth your life.

next time water crash in norway i think. there are some interesting crashes this season look forward to covering them.

a bunch of gyrados appear angry and ready to attack the village ash musters up his strength with a powerful thunderbolt with the other pikachus help but the leader is revealed to mega evolve making things tough but than an alolan vulpix appears and helps beat them with a voice that reminds of ash of someone.

pikachu is stunned that its trainer is missing but it takes convinicing team rockets meowth to explain it is revealed that they know nothing about what happened. meanwhile ash is introduced to some more of the pokemon who explain that this is ash’s home and that protecting the pokemon should be their goal.

i finally watched survivor 49 and this is my review.

this is my personal year in review for the blog.

politics – well the highlight was obviosuly labors massive record breaking win in may an unheard of landslide. otherwise it was slightly disappointing that he housing crisis isn’t fixed and the world is almost definately heading to a world war 3. the other highlight was the end of the carrers of dutton, chandler-maher and the big supprise bhandt all losing their seats. the shame was the whole disgraceful behaviour of linda reynolds towards higgins.

sport – no 5 peat for my panthers the only disappointment of any sort but wasn’t expected but still to get to a prelim after being last halfway through the year counnts for something and leading the prelim against the eventualy premiers the broncos (who did it the hard way and desreved it) counts for something. my hawks also had a great year being only the 2nd team from 8th to get to a prelim (the first was north in 2015) but couldn’t get past the cats who went down to the premiers brisbane who again earned it but the league needs to look into some teams advantages. the womans was again dominated by the roos. if i had a request it would be no brisbane teams in the grand final (between afl aflw and nrl 8 grand finals in 3 years ridicilous) unless its at the expense of sydney swans geelong or meloburne storm. my marriners also failed at a attempt at a 3 peat sliding back down. but both my austrlaian basketball teams won this year. it was also great to get back to the footy this year when i saw my hawks lose to the lions in may for the first tiem in 7 years

travel – this year i finally returned to the city of melbourne after 6 years and had a nice holiday on the gold coast. the flights on qantas link were good.

aviation – safety is back in the headlines but imporved later in the year. a lot of interesting new routes as well including adeliade to san fran for instance.

tv – a big disappointemnt that channels are cutting back on kids shows and animes way too much in australia replacing them with outdated and rubbish commedies. overall not the worse year though.

hopes for next year – not too much different but if they improvement in what i mentioned would be good don’t like the footy wild card round though and hope for a labor win in the victorian election.

a young boy named nate was about to start a new school year his parents say there will be a suprise when he gets home from school on the first day he meets a “transfer” student girl named milda who shares his last name and they immeditaelyt become close friends during the first day of school they even bond over the fact that he wants to not only have a pet dog but be one. nate walks home from school after saying goodbye to milda. it isn’t a long walk home when he arrives he hears a voice that confuses him it sounded like milda but can’t see anyone than he looks down and sees a female black labrador puppy with her eyes at the front of his house he picks up the puppy and asks if its milda than his parents come out and she turns back into her human form confuisng him. his parents explain that milda is acctually his sister but had to be kept apart for their safety due to some bad guys wanted her changing power and reveals he can change into a puppy of the same breed as well he does and he and milda are not only best friends but siblings and happy.

it was the start of summer and a group of kids are going to a unique new summer camp at a place called dog springs where they are told they will have a unique experience. annie just wanted to see the dogs while ned wanted to play with them and other kids had different goals but are told they will experience something with dogs as their summer camp. on arrival they are given instructions to head to certain rooms and put what looks like a dog collar on when asked the councilor says its to not intermidiate the dogs. they all put it on at the same time and ned is the first to notice he is feeling weird and his reaction becomes a bark suddenly they started itching all over and dropping to all fours suddenly the kids where no more they were replaced by labrador dogs of different colors with the exception of one girl who becomes a border collie. the councilor says they will be dogs for the length of a normal dog life and will soon forget thier humanity as well as saying it is the breed they wanted or their parents wanted them to be and will be at the end of the cmap returned to their human families as dogs. the kids were shocked but accepted their fate.

this is the story of how john the baptist who speaks about how he will baptise differently to jesus who is more important which is interestnig as john the baptists mum and mary (jesuss mum) knew each other in another gospel story. the fact that this is part of how john the baptist is one of the last prophets talking about jesus coming. the message is jesus is the real salvation and you should be ready for him comiing when it happens.

as ryder works to get his pups free chase and zuma battle and chase realises it is a mismatch so in a last ditch attempt he makes a call to throw a whole bunch of sewage and lightable things at the town but not reaising ski was one step ahead of them and with the cat pack take them down chase and liberty retreat with mayor goodway apologising and ryder says to her that if he can’t get her trust back same with chase and liberty there will be issues. carrie and ski are admited into the paw patrol for their actions and taylor stays for a while in adventure bay with everyone trying to figure out what could cause chase and liberty to defect. but there will be a bigger threat.

chase decides now is time to act and gathers the pups and their allies when he presses a button that traps them in cages except liberty revealing they dont want to mess up the plan to use the gem to have certain pups take over and mayor goodway appears agreeing but then ryder and the remainder turn up with backup and liberty is stunned to sees carrie and tries to attack her but it is a mismatch as carrie reveals the power of the gem once fully activated thanks to skye and zuma makes good pups really strong. the final battle is about to begin.
