5 teams depart moscow for amsterdam netherlands although its only a flag to tell them where they are going and the centreal station. also double u-turn ahead. trey/lexi thinks its france which is wrong. natalie/nadiya think its france as well. the first flight is 1045am non-stop arrivving 1215pm or via cyprus arriving 105pm. natalie/nadiya go via rome with a tight connection. meanwhile the lead teams agree to a u-turn plan where the lead team u-turns abbie/ryan the 2nd u-turns whoever u-turns them. abbie figures out the netherlands but are now 9 hours behind they are happy to have a lead on josh/brent at this point. abbie/ryan gamble on another frankfurt connection 10 seasons ago a team did this and failed like this. abbie/ryan flights should arrive at 1245pm or 205pm (they booked two iteniaries). josh/brent go via oslo arriving 435pm. natalie/nadiya make the tight connection so have a lead. the clue contains a fastforward teams must make their way to the van gouh cafe and ride a marked bus there is more to the task though. jaymes/james are 2nd to amsterdam as sucheled. teams must eat two hearing for the fast forward. thinks look good for abbie/ryan until they find check-in closed and are forced to take the 205pm arrival which shouldn’t finish them off. as abbie says they can’t catch a break they are delayed another 2 hours due to a mechanical issue on the 2nd flight (appartently a problem with the deicer). jaymes/james find the normal clue of taking a boat to a part of amsterdam but go for the fastforward as well which they won’t get as natalie/nadiya are finished with less than a minute to spare they are sent to the pitstop in ransdorp (from season 12). trey/lexi arrive 3rd in amsterdam and are confindent they are not last. natalie/nadiya win the leg and 5000 dollars each. the next clue is a detour “back in time” teams must recreate the nightwatch with actors. “organ to grind” requires teams to find street organs with one operating the other must collect tips. jaymes/james pick organ grind and the u-turn is ahead. jaymes/james enjoy the grinding task. trey/lexi pick the organ grind. jaymes/james have trouble as the crowd dies down but are still doing well. jaymes/james get the clue next sending them to the u-turn at a museum. abbie/ryan barely arrive before josh/brent as the flight delay hurt them badly. jaymes/james u-turn abbie/ryan after debating over their friendship. the next clue sends them to ransdorp. the roadblock goes back to season 12’s ditch vaulting challenge james takes the roadblock and gets it quickly putting them in 2nd place. trey/lexi are almost done the organ grinding and finish it they keep their word on the u-turn. abbie/ryan are working with josh/brent again. both trailing teams choose the painting task. abbie/ryan work with josh/brent on the painting. trey takes the roadblock and gets it quickly securing 3rd place. abbie/ryan are annoyed at the u-turn when they find out despite brent wenting to help them they have to leave them putting abbie/ryan in a impossible position. so abbie/ryan do the grinding task as josh/brent head to the vaulting. abbie/ryan aren’t bad at the grinding but know they now need a miracle to stay in the race. josh hurts his ankle during the vaulting but they are still 4th sending abbie/ryan home ending their hopes of two million dollars. ryan takes the roadblock for the record.
