16 new players arrive in samoa they will be joined by two returning players. they are already split into two tribes.
savaii semhar, mark “papa bear”, eleyse, keith, jim, dawn, whitney and john “cocheran”
upolu christine, stacy, mikyala, edna, brandon (russell hants nephew), rick, albert, sophie.
they are joined by coach and ozzy with redemption island back in play. we hear from some of the players and find out cocheran is not only a super fan but has written an essay on the show. the new players arrive first and than are joined by coach and ozzy (before they find out they say hope its not russell which supprises brandon) some of the tribe are excited for ozzy but not for coach. christine makes the mistake of saying they will be tempoary players. cocheran insists on being called that. ozzy joins savaii while coach joins upolu. coach is worried about christine already. the game starts on redemption island arena acctually. the first challenge is ozzy v coach on a puzzle after climbing to the top of a 12 foot pole the puzzle is transfering a pyrmaid puzzle the reweard is tarot (which is the equilivant of potatoes) and flint. ozzy is better on the pole the tribes help with instructions but can’t physically help as ozzy leads but its close to the puzzle. you can only move one at a time and small on top of big only. both tribes help them but ozzy wins the challenge for savaii. and no one is happy with coach on the tribe and don’t help him get his stuff to go to camp or check hes ok except edna. on savaii ozzy knows his experience will help. semhar is a bit weird already doing poetry but ozzy wants to align with her. while the tribe swim cocheran doesn’t want to and feels on the outs. coach is not happy already when they arrive at camp and tries to tell his tribe not to think he is a threat. upolu work well at camp though but only really edna thinks coach could be an asset while christine looks for the idol. coach wants christine out first. we find out jim does maijuna dispensing. papa bear is gay. dawn is worried about the young people as well and not working. brandon shows his tribe one of his tattos while mikayla impresses the tribe with her strength. coach, brandon, albert, sophie and rick form an alliance on the beach at night. dawn is feeling quite down at this point on day 2 and on the outs ozzy chears her up a little bit and keeps her in the game. while cocheran tries to provide for the tribe. brandon wants to do well at the social game and provide food. the first immunity challenge is an obstacle course involving zigzaging path ways and than through a wall and dig up a machete getting coconuts which 3 must launch into their basket first to finish wins immunity as well as a clue to the idol and for upolu flint. it is a very close challenge all the way through but upolu lead a little bit at this point. cocheran had trouble as rick digs up the machete although ozzy makes up time. upolu lead into the shooting it is ozzy, semhar and keith v albert, mikayla (who does well) and brandon. semhar wants to give up on the challenge upolu win just by one coconut. semhar doesn’t help her case saying she feels sort of bad. jim wants semhar gone but ozzy wants cocheran gone. christine looks for the clue but can’t find the idol neither can stacy. semhar and jim get into an argument back at camp which doesn’t help her case. the vote is between semhar and cocheran but not certain which will go. they talk about redemption island at tribal dawn says she lost a lot of confidence. eleyse says semhar is concerned due to the challenge. whitney says its good to have the attention off her. dawn also says cocheran could be a target. in the end semhar is voted out 8-1 over cocheran and is sent to redemption island.
next time coach recurits edna to his alliance brandon is annoyed at mikayla over nothing and an idol is found.
