6 teams depart abu dhabi the first clue asks teams to figure out the puzzle from the viking coins to decipher a code and than drive an suv another u-turn ahead. the first clue than sends them to sand dunes. nicole/travis plan to u-turn leo/jamal if they can and use the express pass. tim/marie are worried about the u-turn. jason/amy miss a turn. nicky/kim call themselves ninjas. teams have to drive dune buggies through the desert which some teams have trouble with. the next clue sends them to al ain oasis. leo/jamal are 1st out with nicole/travis stuck while jason/amy are lost so tim/marie catch up to them. nicole/travis take the lead at the oasis finding a detour clue of “wedding guest” prepare and serve a ceremonial dish. “beauty contest” requires teams to pick a camel and dress it up perfectally. nicole/travis use the express pass. leo/jamal choose wedding gues tim/marie choose beauty contest. nicole/travis use the express pass and go to the tower to use the u-turn on leo/jamal. jason/amy are a bit lost but are still 4th. tim/marie still argue during the camel task but do it quickly as jason/amy start the task. nicole/travis are 1st to the roadblock nicole does it and has to navigate rapids to grab 3 flags. the girls are quite behind at this point getting the detour clue. tim/marie finish the detour in 2nd but get confused on the tower and get lost finding it they get lost finding leo/jamal at the other detour. jason/amy are better at finding the tower and don’t u-turn. leo/jamal switch detours. nicole gets the roadblock done first. the pitstop is jebel hafeeet. nicole/travis are easily 1st leo/jamal aren’t happy to be u-turned and have go back to the feast. tim/marie are very lost nicky/kim are quite lost nicole/travis not so much winning the leg and a new car. tim/marie u-turn nicky/kim partly for a lead over them and partly for revenge for the airport. nicky/kim choose wedding guest. jason does the roadblock. ally/ashley choose beauty contest. ally/ashley finish the detour ahead of nicky/kim. tim takes the roadblock as jason finishes. leo/jamal finish the detour ahead of nicky/kim. tim/marie finish the roadblock in 3rd. nicky/kim aren’t even finished one detour and have to do the other detour way behind. ally/ashley are lost finding the roadblock. jamal takes the roadblock having passed ally/ashley and ashley is doing the roadblock. nicky/kims speed bump is swimming accross a wave generating pool without wiping out but kim is affraid of heights and are way behind at this point having not started the roadblock.
