a md-80 departs detroit for phoneix at 8pm on a hot day and a storm is approaching the crew have trouble taxing to the runway and get their late. the flight crashes on takeoff killing all onboard except one young girl passenger who loses her family and two on the ground are killed as well. the cause of the crash is determined to be a rushed takeoff meaning they didn’t do the checklist and deploy the flaps for takeoff meaning they couldn’t get the plane under control.
