ash and friends arrive in azaela town which is in drought due to the heat and lakc of water and find the gym is closed. team rocket find a well but very limited water and decide to try and get the water and encounter some slowpoke. ash and friends decide to look for kurt (the pokeball expert mentioned in an earlier ep) but ash steps on some slowpoke tails which annoys them and the town residents but are rescued by a man wearing a slowpoke suit. ash is told by a woman that kurt isn’t home when they find his house. so they go to the well where the guy is and find team rocket trying to steal the slowpoke but they are stopped by ash and friends with help from the slowpoke despite pikachus shocking not helping due to the water and the slowpoke create a rain storm that fixes the drought. we find out the man is kurt who helped them earlier.
