ash and friends introduce themselves as doing an errand for professor oak and tell kurt and macey (the girl from the last ep whose his grandaughter) and give them the ball but still he can’t figure out what it is. ash rings professor oak to tell him and oak tells ash about apricorns so they decide to get some to get pokeballs made. ash and friends get pokeballs to use from apricorns and decide to get more but team rocket want to steal them. macey shows them around and its tough to get the balls as they spot pineco in the tree (a bug type). team rocket trap ash and friends to get the apricorns and pikachu but ash and friends get out of the hole quickly. but it all ends well and brock catches pineco. ash and friends give the apricorns to kurt and they head for the gym in town.
