10 teams depart rio de jinearo the fist clue sends them to a samba club at night which then sends htem to another mountain with a fast fowrad clue. the detour on the mountain is “seek out” using a metal detector to get a clue. or “freak out” hang gliding. the fastforward is volleyball on the beach shoyla/doyin (one is injured) beat gary/dave at it easily with peggy/claire abandoing the fast forwad due to the guys being there. only blake/paige and gary/dave attempt the metal detector but both switch eventually costing them time. peggy/claire are very scared but acctually do the hang glide. the next stop is foz de igacu by bus with chris/alex tara/will and shoyla/doyin on the lead bus that has to change its tyre mid route. the 2nd bus carries oswald/danny, mary/peach and cyndi/russell to leave the third connecting bus carries gary/dave but it has problems but somehow beats the 2nd bus the other connecting bus carries peggy/claire. blake/paige lose all their money in a cab but get on the same last bus as hope/norm who have a really bad cab driver. the next stop is a safari dock shoila/doyin win with the fast foward. the roadblock is using a boat to spot a flag not too hard. blake/paige beat hope/norm to stay in it a little controversal according to the rules hope/norm are eliminated. tara/will and chris/alex have an alliance. peggy/claire over celebrate again.

hope and norm were mostly unnoteworthy just had a little bad luck in the cab but really a non-factor.
