9 teams leave the arc de triumphe for a feries wheel that closed just after midnight so only the first 4 teams make it the rest wait till the morning except kevin/drew who end up going for the fast forward after missing it by seconds which is a tea shop giving them a lead. the detour is either climbing notre dame or finding foo caults pendulum with a statue of a cat which is at the pantheon onot the museum of arts and craft (the lead teams do the pendulum the trailing teams do notre dmae including lenny/karyn who went there last time by accident). the roadblock is next to the hotel de ville pat/brenda are the only team to go to the wrong museum putting them in last. the roadblock is walking two blocks in the sewers before heading to cheatue de provience in the south of france by trrain to avingon or marsielle than taxi avingon is better and the former alliance and later dave/margeretta choose avingon (the grandparents were on a later train but pass 3 teams who call themselves the underdogs who went to marsielle). pat/brenda never catch up and are eliminated.
