the pies started 0-5 but made the 4 (only one of three finalists to start that way and none till 2017) but were 3rd behind dees and blues but ahead of dons. roos blew a storng start 6-0 and 8-1 and 9-3 and 10-4 before losing all the rest to finish 6th.

one spot lower but same 50/50 record won 3 striaght early but were never consistant enough. finishing 7th.
finals summary
the dons made the grand against the dees but the dees win their 10th flag by 37.
interesting collingwood
not much to say 0-5 start and a round 8 loss the lions before 10 straight wins got them to the semi but lost to the dons.
premiers melbourne
not as good as the year before home and away wise but still did enough losing to lionis in round 3, blues in round 5, pies in round 13 drew with lions in round 14, and dogs in round 15 before recovering to beat blues and dongs to win the flag.
