nrl 2026 mid season review

half way through the nrl sort of and with a inconsistant season its impossible to judge so many teams this year other than my panthers being dominant again and look likely to make it 5 out of 6 (not biast they are two games clear and just beat 2nd on the ladder in what could be a grand final preview the warriors) if they can play a full season). there are a few suprise contenders newcastle in 4th especially as they were last last year. roosters are if i was betting would be the panthers grand final opponent in a rematch of 03 (maybe the same result). talks of manly getting a wooden spoon for the first time not even close to happening. the slump of last years grand finalists to 11th and 13th (and storm were lower earlier) is amazing in fact otheer than penrith the only grand finalist this decade in the 8 is south sydney and no one else is withi a game of the 8. i will say the unfairness of cowboys and storm still without a bye while several teams have had two is just ridicilious i count 6 teams who have had two byes and warriors 2nd is this week before they get one.
