as they leave new bark town they decide to head for cherrygrove city when they are stopped to battle a bug catcher with his spinarak which she uses misdreavus for the first time in battle and wins he said he is on a losing streak due to a wild cynadaquil so they decide to investigate and find a bunch of johto starters two of each that are scared of humans for some reason so lika and ash talk to them and it is revealed they had been mistreated lika and lyra catch one of each and will try and win them over and than get a call from professor elm.
the jr patrollers visit jakes mountain for christmas but are home sick and are worrieda btou sants not knowing so the pups must help but mayor humdinger has a plan to steal the presents but trap santa but it all ends well.
i will note that they did this episode out of order due to it being december so i still don’t know what the next episode is.

as they approach new bark town they get attacked by some confused misdreavus which are lost so they detour to try and find the old shrine but it doesn’t help their directions when they are rescued by a mysterious trainer who calls himself zacariah and says he will get them on course but to find the misdreavus home lika figures out where to go on a whim and they find it damaged so they get help form some locals and tough pokemon at this point lika catches one of the misdreavus to get it healed on arrival in newbark and promises to return it ash notices that lika seems to be more attached to pokemon now which is good.
cats keep their record intact winning the flag over the pies by 38 also being the only side all year to beat the pies (if it wasn’t for the 08 grand its the reverse of 08).

today i am reviewing the original version of the fruits basket anime which had a reboot in 2019 with more eps but this is my review of the original. the story features a girl named tohru who moves into the sohma house hold after her home is destroyed in a accident. the somhas do have a secret that if hugged by a member of the opposite sex turn briefly into a animal of the chinese zodiac one of them is the cat which is not a traditional part of the zodiac which is cursed due to the story tohru helps when the curse effects things towards the end of the series some of the characters are very unusual id say (not at the level of one piece in terms of looks) it is quite a good show. score 9/10 sometime in the new year i will look at the reboot but next week for the last anime review of 2024 i have saved a big one for last dragon ball z.
