“the breeding centre secret”

ash and friends arrive in a town where they hear about a breeding centre misty leaves her psyduck there not realising that it is run by team rockets butch and cassidy who are stealing pokemon for their boss and are also jessie and james enermies. When ash misty and brock hear about a free meal if they bring the chef a psyduck. jessie and james try and snag the pokemon and james gets back his old victoribell but they and ashs friends (except misty and pikachu get caught). Misty goes looking for evidence and gets pikachu to grab the camera and uses it so they can arrest butch and cassidy and free their friends from prision. ash misty and brock enjoy the free meal. todd leaves for the mountains leaving ash misty and brock to continue their journey to cinibar island.

“the ultiminate test”

after a conversation with misty about how ash hasn’t had a gym badge for a while todd suggests that he takes the pokemon league entrance exam team rocket also try and take the exam but none of them do well in comparision nurse joy does really well (She took leave from the pokemon centre to try and compete). Jessie gets disqualified due to a argument with the offical. the next round is the battle round james gets some strong pokemon but using two at once gets him disqualified. Ash has to battle with the same type of pokemon team rocket use but narrowly loses team rocket attacks but ash defeats them and decides its not worth the exam.

next time in the season 1 final (i’m using the austrlian dvd ep order). Team rocket meet their old rivals and a breeding centre scam.

ash misty and brock spot something that looks strange in the bushes which they think could be dangerous but is a camera the guy whose name is todd says he wants a picture of ashs pikachu but it is not easy to get the photo as pikachu is nervous he explains that an elderly couple (really teamrocket) asked for the photo. Team rocket think todd is supposed to capture pokemon with a pokeball but not by film which is how it works they attack but todd saves ash even at the risk of his camera pikachu sends team rocket away. Todd travels with ash misty and brock for a bit.

“the town festival part 1”

ash chikorita cyndaquil and todotile are getting ready for a local town festival in the town. Meanwhile a bunch of haunter are on the out skirts of town ready to attack the town during the festival for its tradition to scare the pokemon into good luck as is tradition. But a gengar appears and takes down the haunter as it wants to curse the town instead of scare them when pidgeot sees this it reports back to the group and decide to battle it as the ghost type plays a lof of tricks but a thunderbolt flame thrower combo beats it. The gengar says you need to cancel the festival there are other bad pokemon to attack and that it was hypnotised.

“the case of the k-9 caper”

ash misty and brock run into a person who looks like a burgurlar but it turns out to be a police officer in training as officer jenny explains as part of the training of the growlithe. Ash decides to have pikachu take on the training course which has misty and brock worried about it. The training is hard on pikachu and ash (who has to do the course too). Team rocket attack using voice confusing equipment to stop them fighting back but eventually ash defeats them. Ash decides the k-9 squad training is not for pikachu and they leave for their next city.

next time a pokemon photographer is tricked by team rocket into trying to get pikachu.

the final four teams race to the swan bells towerin perth which is closed for the night the hippies and ray/yolanda book taxis for the morning but eric/jeremy cancel them but accidentally cancel their own in the process leaving joseph/monica the only team with a cab. Teams fly on the same flight to darwin and are all eqaulised they than have to wave through crocodiles before racing to the town of batchleor air strip the hippies yield joseph/monica due to the cab cancelling (which they didn’t do). The roadblock was sky diving not that hard. The detour was hiking and swimming through a lake or driving a 4wd and learn a digerdoo the later is easier its a close race to the pit stop lake burnett wilderness resort where the hippies are last but spared but lose their money and possesions. ray and yolanda who finished first win a car each.

The tribe members have to dress up a dummy and than carry it through a course sook jai again win the reward challenge winning chickens and other food items. shii ann gets into trouble with some of her tribe for her views about the food. but sook jai win the immunity challenge solving two seperate puzzles sending chuay guan to tribal council. Ghandia and jan change their target to clay but can’t convince helen to force the tie and ghandia is voted out 4-2 (not that fair considering what happened).

The roadblock is searching the tunnels for a flashlight and than going through tunnels eric/jeremy finish on top and fran/barry just can’t keep up and are eliminated.

“the bond between rider and horse”
a young girl was getting ready to ride her horse she had a special bond with this horse who had been with the family for a long time the horse had a unique thing where it aged as a human did the two of them where really close they even slept together when the weather premited her name was cara her horse was dave. it was going to be their birthday in a few days as they where born the same day and they where about to be 7 years old they where going for a regular ride through their big farm when it started getting windy as they continued they found a lake cara says to dave to stop and rest as the wind was getting worse she was about to get off dave when the wind threw her into the lake. Dave was about to get into the lake to save her when a horse that looked like him came out of the water. Dave was shocked and knew there where no horses around other than his parents who where a lot odler than them. The female horse than spoke with caras voice saying why are you looking at me like that when dave said something happened she got out of the water and dave asked her to look down she wasn’t human anymore but a pretty female horse but it felt so natural to her that they where able to walk back to the house despite the wind, Caras parents where suprised to see a young female horse with dave, They than saw there daugthers eyes on the horse and realise that the rumors about the lake are true that if a person is clearly close with an animal and falls into the water they change into the animal permanitely they had never seen it happen and than they remember that daves mum also used to be human but changed the same way. Cara and daves friendship was never tested and would start their own family.

“Bublasaurs mysterious garden”

ash is battling a hiker with his bulbasur against his rhyhorn ash wins but bulbasaur starts acting strange. at the pokemon centre nurse joy reveals its close to evolving and that there is a festival around this area every year where they evolve into ivysaur. when all the bulbasaur start to move for the ceremony including ash’s they follow it but get lost a bit so do team rocket. they find the ceremony lead by a venasaur (the final evolved form of bulbasaur) and when ash’s doesn’t evolve it leads to them turning on it but after ash’s saves them all from team rocket they think its fine for it not to evolve.

next time pikachu trains with the growlithe from the police.

after losing two members chuay guan are at a disadvantage. Sook jai is still divided with robb now siding with the minority in the arguments. Meanwhile ted inapporately touched ghandia the show decided to keep him in which i think is just inapporiate behavior (it takes 34 seasons for someone to be disquailified for something like this season 39 it happens but it is one of the three times in the shows history and almost the worse instance) leading to ted ignoring ghandia. The reward challenge is very physical but after breaking some of the challenge rules sook jai lose the challenge giving chuay guan a visit from the red burets to help make camp life better. Sook jai (we don’t find this out until the reunion show) throw the temple moving immunity challenge to vote out jed. Shii ann is also getting on sook jais nerves leading to a close vote but they vote out jed 5-3 leaving stephenie and robb on the outs with 13 players left.

ash is told to contact professor oak who gets ashs pokedex updated they also wonder about the pokemon egg they found when team rocket steal it meowth spends a lot of time looking after it as well but ash misty and brock fight to get it back and it hatches in mistys arms as a togepi they have an argument about who gets to keep it so they have a battle tornument between misty ash brock and meowth (jesssie and james don’t participate because they didn’t care for the egg) ash wins the tornument but misty gets togepi due to it liking misty better.

after losing john chuay guan are in trouble with clays snoring and the guys laziness combined with tanya being sick things don’t look good for them. helen and jan get lost on a water run (helen makes a bad joke about if she had a gun). jed and stephenie are on the outs on sook jai due to being lazy while the rest of the tribe build shelter. the reward challenge is guiding the tribe blindfolded through a course sook jai win the reward challenge. Ghandia and ted are close but it will change quickly the immunity challenge involves swimming to unattach puzzle peices and than solving a floating puzzle sook jai wins. Tanyas illness cost her the game and she is voted out 5-2 over helen.

next itme a contestant should be disqualified and the other tribe throws the challenge.

the five remaining teams depart the fortress of rion for muscat oman they first take a bus to the athens airport and than catch one of two flights to the middle eastern nation of oman and race to a giant incense burner which evens the teams due to being closed for the night. The next morning they race to the town of sur ray and yolanda get lost and fall behind and teams have to drive accross rivers with no bridge. the detour is delivering a camal or searching watch towers the later is slightlier easier the next clue sends them to a village and the sand dunes for the roadblock digging up their dinner in the heat the hippies fall from 1st to last during that challenge the drive to the pit stop costs eric and jeremy there run of top 2 finishes when they take a dirt road. Fran and barry supprisingly win the leg as they are the oldest team in a mostly physical leg bj and tyler (the hippies) lose all their possesions except the clothes on their back and their passports for being last in a non-elimination leg.

“so far yet so farfetched”

ash misty and brock are resting in a forrest with ash researching a rare pokemon farfetched which is near extinct due to its leak that it holds. When ash and brock get supplies misty finds the farfetched and tries to catch it but runs into its trainer who steals mistys pokemon and also later takes team rockets angering them. It is a common problem that people get robbed and they confront him but he battles with the farfetch and almost succeeds in winning and the people forgive him eventually and they give misty her pokemon back.

Next time the pokemon egg hatches but who gets to keep it.

calling the previous year a war is an overreaction but the same sides have started best st kilda, fitzroy and south are 2 from 2.

ash and friends finding a missing poster in front of a mansion that is clearly james from team rocket and tell the guy who is looking for him that they know him. The man says that jameses parents had died and that they need him to get the inheritance team rocket turn up and after a weird act we find it his parents aren’t dead at all and are trying get him to marry a woman named jessibelle who is a spoiled rich girl who is quite bossy. Ash and friends as well as team rocket try and save him but it almost looks hopeless but james escapes in the end.

The jury are pretty even with some obvious who they want to win and some not but vecepia wins the million dollars 4-3 over neleh.

The battle goes well because of chikoritas negotiating abillity to calm it down. alkazam says it can explain what it knows when a buneary appears with amnesia.

ash misty and brock arrive in a small town to get supplies a young woman finds team rockets meowth who is sick and jessie and james where going to abandon it after healing meowth the girl goes and meowth is in love with the human not realistic. Ash misty and brock run into the girl and her grandma who talks about the fact that they need their paras to evolve so it could make better medicine ash battles it but paras refuses to battle to make matters worst charmelon won’t listen to Ash. Meowth gets jessie and james to help train the paras which is sucesful the rematch against ash goes well into chamelon battles which is out of control but paras evolves into parasect and stops the situation. But team rocket don’t get anything though for helping. Ash misty and brock leave them to continue their journey.

Ash shows him an idea for a magic act than the exegute he has hypnotise ash so the magician uses it to get ash to use his pokemon to catch exegutor (the evolved form of execute) but when team rocket attacks the exegutor lose control and with the magicians ones evolved they start a rampage with ash desperate tries to fight them only charmander does anything but gets exhausted the magician helps out with his failed fire act and they save the day. than ashs charmander evolves into charmeleon ending the episode with ash misty and brock continuing their journey.

gina is overconfident that they voted out sean or rob for being threats and the rest of the maraamu tribe agree but are shocked when gabriel is found out to be voted out instead. In a close finish the maraamu win the jungle relay reward to win a feast after rotu where found to not have finished despite claiming they had. Paschal is especially shocked at the last tribal while rob and sean try and integrate themselves into johns allaince but both sides don’t really want to work together. John wants to throw the immunity challenge but isn’t able to patercipate in the immunity challenge which rotu win. facing tribal gina and kathy think of breaking up neleh and paschal but than get into a fight making neleh and paschal the swing votes and they vote out gina 3-1 on original tribal lines well gina made it two rounds further than she would have otherwise.

ash chikorita cyndaquil and todotile arrive at where the rescue teams are based they introduce themselves to the board incharge of the rescue teams they realise that they are chikorita cynadaquil and todotiles final evolved forms who say they are in charge of this district there is a higher up body they explain there responsabillities and that they can have help from other pokemon. Pidgeot asks if it can join the team and they say yes. chikorita cynadquil and todotile think they know the leaders but aren’t sure they return home.

the 10 teams depart sao paulo on their race around the world. they race to a big building in sao paulof for the roadblock of climbing and then repelling down a fire escape they than race to the bus stop to catch one of three buses to the town of brotas for the detour of making ethanol fuel or using accenders to climb a waterfall as usual the height challenge is easier teams struggle to drive stick and navigate the hippies win a trip to tahiti while lisa/joni can’t keep up and are eliminated.

ash misty and brock arrive at a forrest full of pikachu where it takes a while to convince the pikachu they aren’t bad than it takes an effort to protect the pikachu from team rocket. Ash thinks that it would be better for pikachu to stay behind which supprises misty and brock but changes his mind when he sees how much pikachu wants to stay with him and the cheer from the wild pikachu.

next time the evolution pokemon eevee and an evoluiton festival.

with only four members maraamu know they will need to do well to even stay intact before the merge. while the rotu tribe try and allign their original members on rotu but gabriels reluctant which annoys john. The reward challenge invovles being blindfolded and searching for tiki pieces maraamu finally win the right to raid the other camp and finally win a challenge. They grab everything but a pot which makes a difference in the immunity challenge building a distress signal which sends rotu to tribal for the first time. Rob wants to take out john but needs gabriel and vecepias votes to join him and sesan it doesn’t work and they go with the majority in sending gabriel home 7-1.

this episode was banned world wide due to a seizure incident so don’t watch it if you can find it anywhere. ash misty and brock arrive at a pokemon centre that is having a problem with the pokeball transfer system they along with a porygon have to fight team rockets one they are successful but when pikachu beats the vaccine it causes the seizures that banned the episode. Porygon has not appeared in the anime since or its evolved forms as a result.

today i am doing a retro tip review from my 2019 fiji holiday (my last overseas holiday). The resort is on a seperate island to the main island and is accessable by car from the airport with a conviant car service. The resort has been renovated since i was there so some of this might have been fixed. The reception has the main resturant and where you can check in/out for the sofitel as well as fiji airways flights from nadi airport. the room is pretty average but ok with a tv, wifi (but it is very very slow) charging ports and a few things. The pool is the highlight when not too busy its nice and relaxing just time it ok you need to get a towel from one of the staff. there are a few other food places in the resort which are good sometimes. The port also has a lot of food places and is accesable by hop on hop off bus that stops at all the resorts on the island. overall its an ok resort but has room to improve.

ash and friends try and flee bad weather and find a weird mansion where they run into a girl named duplica and its ditto. The ditto can’t properally transform into other pokemon which makes their house of immitay (not sure on the spelling) not successful team rocket steal ditto and in an unusal twist is successful at getting it to transform properally ash misty and brock with duplica get ditto back after immitating team rockets motto. ash and friends say goodbye to duplica and continue their journey.

Officer jenny turns up and the bike gang flee she agrees to help the gang get through but is called away and a big storm begins as they peddel team rocket attack with the bike gang but team rocket fail badly and ash finally convinces the bike gang to let them go as they have to deliver medicine which they do successfully.

maraamu are worried about their losing streak and sarah and gina get into an arguemnt about what happened at tribal with each others comments. Rotu are behaving like the love tribe and everyone gets along neleh and paschal have bonded and after getting bitten by an urchin john has to be peed on by kathy. The reward challenge is building and racing a raft for blankets and confort won by rotu again increasing their momentum. The immunity challenge is a concount maze puzzle which despite being close rotu win again. Rob and hunter discuss whose going home hunter wants to vote out sean but rob doesn’t trust him. ash misty and brock are looking for the safari zone on their journey when they found the p1 pokemon ranch which is a famous place to raise pokemon where the owner laramie who owns a ponyta but before the race she gets hurt by dario her main rival forcing ash to race with ponyta against darios dodrio with team rocket helping dario it does not go well but ponyta evolves into rapidash and just wins the race.

They are about to agree when a spiritomb attacks the village and kidnaps some of the locals forcing ash, chikorita cyndaquil and todotile to head to the abandoned ruins to fight spirittomb who sends some of the locals after them which worries them but are able to take out the thing that makes them control them and the spirittomb flees but they than manage to get out before the ruins collapses a machamp appears and agrees to fix the ruins.

the final 4 aren’t relaxed lex is angry at tom and it leads to an argument that makes lex want to take out tom but the plan is take out kim j the final 4 immdgbunity challenge is answering questions about the eliminated players won by kim j in a controversal tie breaker as the question was which female player has no pirecings on the body kim j was right with kelly but lex was right with lindsay so technically there should have been another question tom is voted out 3-1 as a result.
