6 teams book tickets to munich germany by plane putting andre/damon behind with a missed conection in paris flo/zach get the fast forward which is grabbing the attention of asurfer. the detour is bob sledding the roadblock is hanging from a chairlift but andre/damon seel their elmination with oversleeping on the train to austria and are eliminated back in germany.

7 teams race to casselblanca than marakech by train with the guys in the lead and aaron/aariaen behind terri/ian beat the other co ed teams for the fast forward at a carpet shop the detour is riding atvs to find a clue (the horse alternate was only attempted by ken/gerrard). before racing to a cafe for a roadblock selling escargot but the elimination is obvious even andre/damon getting detained makes no difference.

8 teams race to cabo de rocca for a detour with the all guy teams all now aligned fall behind the detour is repleing down a cliff or walking (the last one only flo/zach swapped to). all the co-ed teams but john vito/jill put the wrong fuel in on the way to spain to catch a boat to tangier morrocco this proves the difference for michael/kathy who never catch up the roadblock is putting their hand in dye the elimination is obvious.

9 teams race to porto portugal via london and for the guy team alliance colonge (derek/drew and ken/gerrard). the detour was truck driving or boat controlling to deliver port before a train to lisbon equally everyone the roadblock is saving a penalty shot before walking to the pitstop heather/eve accctually take a taxi giving them a critical penalty eliminating them after earlier having trouble driving themselves falling from 1st to the pitstop to last.

from an auckland airfield they race to hawaii to start the race back to the us for a walking detour to find a pineapple before a roadblock of swimming for a clue which will struggles at but chris/alex get most lost on the way to the pitstop it is a non-elim though.

they than race to alaska by plane but tara/will lose the clue and will not only doesn’t take responsibillity he tries everything to get the info and almost quits but they get the info after a snow polwing task and a roadblock of tring to open an ice globe they race to san fransisco for the finish line tara/will get robbed of a taxi but get the lead most of the leg but do all they can to throw chris/alex off them it doesn’t work and the guys win a footrace for the million in a record close finish with blake/paige only minutes behind.

blake and paige are this seasons most liked team by me and their youth didn’t cost them but one small misatke was it.

tara and will argued too much and blew their chances a bit too much in the end.

4 teams race to nzs south island by plane all even but blake/paige sneak their bags on giving them a small lead which they extend with the fast forward a boat ride giving them the lead the detour is bungee jumping the roadblock is sleep herding neither is hard as navigating on the all guy teams but its a non-elim leg.

5 teams race to a route marker in hong kong by bus tara/will waste time with the fast forward and change their mind they than race to murray house for a detour of dragon boat racing or wearing a lion head through a course chris/alex dominate the earlier oswald/danny do well at the otheer the rest struggle the next clue sends them to sydney opera house in australia the flights go via singapore (oswald/danny the quicker) or bangkok (everyone else). the roadblock is translating australian slang to get around town which will and blake fail at badly and have to do it again but its a non-elim leg anyway in this two parter.

the next clue tells them to climb the harbour bridge but chris/alex eat a meet pie for the fast forward giving them a lead going to cooper peedy. the other teams get there for a detour of playing golf in the heat or opal mining not much differnece in difficulty as golf as no marked holes. the roadblock is throwing a boomerang into a circle gary/dave switch from mining to golf around behind they are eliminated.

6 teams go to chang mai then fly to hong kong via bangkok on the samew flight with a tight connection gary/dave are first out of the airport and go for the fast forward a fortune telling ritual beting mary/peach for it all other teams do a ferry to another island for a detour of drinking herbal tea or putting a wish on a tree which puts mary/peach further behind. the roadblock is lifting a container which sees tara beat alex at before a pitstop on a boat. but the eliminnatoin is obvious.

6 teams start by going to a flower market before taking a train to chang mai all equal despite oswald/danny nearly qutiing they don’t and a shopping trip leads to more friction in the sisters. the detour at the old bridge sees all teams do a rowing thing on the river by force before at karen village a roadblock of cleaning an elephant chris/alex and tara/will fall behind and don’t abandon the alliance till its nearly too late but its a non-elim leg.

7 teams race to bangkok thailand on the same flight from johenesburg. will and blake hate each other and will disagrees with his partner tara. the first clue is a detour of either finding a place in china town to burn a car or finding a bird market to release birds the later is quicker slightly if you ucan find the boats which cyndi/russell don’t oswald/danny fall behind but get lucky with a local the roadblock in ratcheburi is walking through a bat cave the pastors are eliminated.

8 teams race to namibia with the first clue sending them to wavis bay by charter flight with a clos race for the last spot on the first charter. the first stop is a lighthouse getting a cab puts chris/alex behind oswald/danny beat mary/peach for the fastfoward which is just a swim in a pool all other teams race to the sand dunes but shoula/doyin can’t drive stick losing any chance they had. the detour is sand boarding (well all teams chose that). the roadblock is bartering for wooden statues of animals before racing to windhoeks pitstop where shoula/doyin are eliminated.

9 teams race to cape town south africa by plane from brazil booking flights is hard and getting the first leaving flight doesn’t gurrantee you get there first and all they go via europe for some reason all but one via london and peggy/claire go via new york before london while chris/alex go via frankfurt as the only exception.blake/paige make enremies cutting in line despite being the equal last team to leave tara/will are on the best flight with gary/dave and oswald/danny. after visiting mandelas cell the y are sent to a harbour for a detour of dancing for coins or carrying fish to weigh (only chris/alex and cyndi/russell do the later) meanwhile peggy/claire already behind miss the connection in london by forgetting security sealing their fate. the roadblock is finding the ingredients and drinking a disgusting drink in a dangerous township. the elimination is obvious.

10 teams stay in brazil and race to a samba club at this point gary/dave peggy/claire and shoula/doyin (one of which is injured) go for the fastforward playing volleyball the grand mothers don’t try knowing there not fit the twins get the fastforward. all other teams at the detour chose to do a hangglide task instead of doing a metal detector search (although two teams try the detector and switch). the next clue sends them by bus to foz de igacu with the lead bus having a wheel problem but still in the lead and another bus breaks down but doesn’t slow down the team peggy/claire fall behind with a missed connection. blake/paige lose their wallet but are able to get on the last bus with hope/norm who have the worse cab driver. the roadblock is taking a boat to find a clue not too hard chris/alex align with tara/will while hope/norm are eliminated.

the final 3 race in alaska and the top 2 in new york the detour in alaska is dog sledding which gives rob/brennan a lead before ice swimming than flying to new york joe/bill only do the dog sledding before the race is over. frank/margarita are from new york and end up on the same flight as rob/brennan but than take a complicated route to the first clue giving the guys the lead by a train and that gives rob/brennan the million.

the final 3 first race to the great wall of china for a detour of hiking the great wall before flying to anchorage via san fran and seattle with joe/bill now a day behind after a trampoline jump the roadblock is ice climbing before the pitstop.

4 teams race to bejing china by plane hours of flights lead to a closer gap and then the hours o foperation seals joe/bill and kevin/drews fate of not catching up ever the detour is either playing ping pong or racing in transport around bejing after a stop at a market a roadblock is cooking and eating the ingredients for a chinese delegacy. a taxxi race ends kevin/drews hopes and are eliminated.

4 teams race to the kings climbing for a detour that they all end up rock climbing instead of hiking before racing to another part of thailand leaving two teams behind due to missing the hours of opening (joe/bill didn’t do the climbing the first day). the roadblock is kayaking they also have to die for a clue off chicken island it is a non-elim leg.

5 teams leave biakner for bangkok after a train or bus ride to delhi an dthan flights but the hours even the teams joe/bill and nancy/emily go for the last fast forward as they are the only teams who can do it a coin counting game which joe/bill win the detour choice of a public bus or a private car is criitcal as kevin/drew waste two hours finding the car while nancy/emily try that and quit preetty much and joe/bill wait all day for cheep transportation to the pitstop. the roadblock is searching for a clue in a tiger temple before going to the pitstop where the penalty sends nancy/emily home.

5 teams stay in india the first stop is the taj mahal and then the apllanec of winds in jaipur by taxi or bus with rob/brenan taking the lead with a taxi and are neck and neck with frank/margarita pretty much the whole race from now. the detour is a rowboat or elephant to find some holy men Rob/brnenna nad nancy/emily choose the elephant the ohters choose the row boat joe/bill have money problems losing time the next sends them by train to biakner and than to deshnuke fora t emple of rats joe/bill and nancy/emily end up 6 hours behind b y trains. the roadblock is searcghing for a clue in the temple before going back to biakner for the pitstop nancy/emily are spared.

6 teams start with the detour in italy of either a hang glider flight or ride bikes the glider is first come first serve frank/margarita do the fast forward which is finding a clue in the moat. the next clue sends them to delhi by plane they all go to rome or milan than meet in cophenhagen for the flight to delhi at the red fort in delhi it is a roadblock finding a man in the market which isn’t too hard before heading to the taj khema hotel in agra the pitstop lenny/karyn are 1st out of the roadblock but have taxi problems getting so lost and eliminated with major relationship issues.

6 teams race from gabes (they were moved there from the desert) to tunis by taxi than book flights to rome the airport is very difficult to get tickets and only joe/bill get it easily three teams somehow get better tickets sort of but the airline cancles their connecting flight in france not because joe/bill physically block them they are all equalled in rome for a detour of finding a hoof of a horse or a foot statue the earlier is more benneficail despite being open later the next clue sends them to northern italy by train but you have to change trains in bologna not take a taxi which frank/margarita and joe/bill do giving them a penalty but are still the top 2 lenny/karyn miss the train and will get atime credit the roadblock is driving a smart car to the pitstop it is the first non-elim leg.

7 teams leave el djem for tatouine with kevin/drew getting the lead iwth the cabs the clue is a detour which all teams choose to do a task with walkie talkies at a star wars movie set (the puzzle choice was close to impossible to find so no one chose it). the next clue sends them to a random clue in the desert which is very hard to find with anmie sick she and paul go way lost in the deep south of tunisia the roadblock is riding a camel in the heat is the only challenge rob/brennan who trail most of the leg pass a few teams in the desert while paul/anmie are eliminated.

8 teams race to tunis tunisia by boat the main alliance ends after a fight over a taxi but kevin/drew and nancy/emily are still close and all teams end up on the same boat with a group tarriff. the clue is a detour of finding a coffee shop (you don’t have to drink the coffee) or having a massage (only paul/anmie choose that) putting them in last. the next clue sends them to el djem by taxi or train only rob/breenan and lenny/karyn choose the train losing a lot of time but dave/magerettas taxi doesn’t take them all the way and money issues costs them time. the roadblock is searching a coloseum to find items and take them to the pitstop in the coloseum in the dark joe/bill finish 1st and dave/margeretta are eliminated.

9 teams leave the arc de triumphe for a feries wheel that closed just after midnight so only the first 4 teams make it the rest wait till the morning except kevin/drew who end up going for the fast forward after missing it by seconds which is a tea shop giving them a lead. the detour is either climbing notre dame or finding foo caults pendulum with a statue of a cat which is at the pantheon onot the museum of arts and craft (the lead teams do the pendulum the trailing teams do notre dmae including lenny/karyn who went there last time by accident). the roadblock is next to the hotel de ville pat/brenda are the only team to go to the wrong museum putting them in last. the roadblock is walking two blocks in the sewers before heading to cheatue de provience in the south of france by trrain to avingon or marsielle than taxi avingon is better and the former alliance and later dave/margeretta choose avingon (the grandparents were on a later train but pass 3 teams who call themselves the underdogs who went to marsielle). pat/brenda never catch up and are eliminated.

10 teams depart songwe village for the local museum the lead teams go two hours out of town before realising it is only 100 yards away pat/brenda go for the fast forward which is white water rafting on the zambezi river sending them to paris in 1st. the museum clue is the detour of “near’ finding 3 hard to find animals well not too hard or “Far” phtograph an elephant in botswana they all do near. the photos are delivered to the chief in mukini village which sends teams to the eifel tower in paris the flight booking is difficult and anmie and lesslie get into a big fight which continues in paris when leslie steals the taxi that anmie was in not that it helps. an early alliance between joe/bill rob/brennan and frank/margarita splits with joe/bill going their own way the other two stay aligned a little bit. the roadblock is climbing the eifel tower and looking for a mounment the arc de triumphe which isn’t too hard if you know what it is (only one member can do a roadblock) lenny thinks its notre damme based on no information wasting time and destroying his relationship with karyn. paul nearly quits but keeps going dave/mageretta missdo the roadblock and get a penalty but a money dispute sends kim/lesslie home.

the first clue sends them to johenesburg south africa on south african, swiss air or alitlalia. they have to figure out which is the best flight south african paul and anmie argue over money and end up on the last flight. joe/bill figure out south african is the beast flight. the next clue sends them to lanseria airport for charter flights to a mystery destination which spilts the south african flight into two groups. the mystery destination is livingstone zambia and the clue sends them to victoria falls either driving themselves or paying a driver 50 dollars. the bridge is stunning over it the next clue sends thme to absiel zambia top of batoka george while rob/brennan and dave/mageretta go for the fast forward which allows them to skip all tasks and head to the pitstop which is at a boil pot which the layers get allowing to get to songwe village the pitstop first dave/mageretta must go to the george. the next clue is a choice between two tasks called a detour which is either “air” a zip line and a swing or “land” a long hike. margarita is scared but not as much as paul but all teams choose air (dave/mageretta do it wrong and get a penalty). navigating zambia is tough for several teams matt/ana can’t pronounce correctly george and than get lost on the way to the pitstop eliminating them despite being ahead of kevin/drew at the detour.

another cargo problem with a secret compartment and another cargo problem leads to a delay and the runway renovation isn’t going well. a loading issue leads to a delay for a disaster zone but it ends up well.

a hill start on a 777 causes issues fake bottoms in someones luggage and a overheating plane causees delays but is all fixed. while getting the adeliade and sydney flights away to get there before curfew is risky but works.

a qantas a380 diverts with an engine problem but is fixed which was no 3 engine. there is live snakes in the terminal which is insane but fixed. runway fixing is having problems getting ready for at dubai world centreal. a record drug haul is found.

the perth flight is at a risk of delay while check in has a lot of tvs. more maitecnec things and cleaning runways.

a flight to dhaka is having a lot of problems with the heavy load of cabin luggage for duty free and a passenger with 19 other people with the same name on the flight has a security issue. there are delays due to odd weather but its fixed. with more on the concurse a opening.

construction is not going well but the first flight ends up going without an issue on ek3 the launch flight. a medical issue effects a passenger but it ends well. emirates network control are working on the sydney curfew flight and it ends ok. baggage connecting flight creates a problem with a chinese carrier.

the new concurse goes on trial which mostly goes ok with some issues. an a380 goes thorugh a c check maitence. a bucket trip to india is in trouble due to overbooking a flight by emirates but it ends up workign in their favour. nigel is having issues with boarding a melbourne flight with a lot of no shows.

a german couple have missed their flight and has to get on through standby but luckily get on a afternoon flight which wasn’t their first choice. concurse a is not going well. passengers miss their flight to amsterdam and can’t pay to get on the next flight but it luckily works out. more flight attendant training and a turn around issue.

weird weather leads to a lot of planes holding which is difficult for atc. in the lead up to christmas it is very busy and people are missing flights a woman to dakar didn’t leave enough time and thinks if the flight hasn’t depearted she can get on a similiar issue on a passenger from jeddah. and a big sign change which nearly fails while construction is getting harder with weekend wark cuasing arguments.

drunk passengers annoy mel and it takes a bit of effort to sobre them up and get thme on another flight. customs finds a drugs haul. nigel rushes thourgh a turn around with the cleaners working hard but it barely gets on schedule with a cargo crate not helping.

on a busy morning at check in there is confusion over paying for excess lugage the man thinks he had to pay for his kid but its sorted. the luggage system has a major problem which reminds them of a fault a few years earlier in 2009 (which i got my fligght delayed in). more on the concurse a consturction update as well as a trip to flight attendant training and a visit to customs and a new a380 delivery.

this is a series that run for 3 seasons and as i love aeroplanes i thought id cover it.

a medical emergency due to turballance but isn’t serious. in terminal 3 the staff are getting ek414 the last flight to land in sydney before curfew but they have a lot of rush connections passengers we also look at a maitence challenge of an emirates a330. the sydney flight is still missing 49 from england with the terminal size not helping but they do make it with only a slight delay. the maitence challenge on tail does work. we also look at marshalling an a330 to the gate. and a look at concruse as construction.
