ash and friends rush to catch the laast boat off cinibar island when ash crashes into a wartortle which needs help after talking to squirtle find theres a prolbem with the turtle pokemon habitat which they grab a boat to follow them and find the island that looks like a squirtle shell with team rocket following them and find a sleeping blastoise which ash goes to sleep when getting close from a familar song so pikachu wakes him up they figure out that most of them where put to sleep by the song and find jigglypuff to be the cause. team rocket try and steal the blastoise when the pokemon are asleep and it doesn’t work initally when they send meowth to get it so instead they are able to get it another way forcing ash and friends to help the squirtle and wartortle get it back. team rocket fight over credit and make a hole in their submarine which wakes up jigglypuff but the squirtle are able to save them which they aren’t greatful for and leads to them trying to get blastoise but still fail and are sent blasting off again with jigglypuff being saved and blastoise being saved as well.

ash decides to forefit the match to save pikachus life from falling into the volcano but will want a rematch but without charizard being able to listen there isn’t much chance of him winning but he wants to get it to listen. ash and friends use the hot springs to heal its injuries and he thinks he can still win despite megmars power. team rocket decide to steal megmar by claiming their giving it a phony prize and they than freeze it this plan damages the volcano but doesn’t do anything to megmar but make it angry blaine ash and friends enter the gym which is being frozen by team rocket the gym battlefield falls into the volcano and team rocket are sent blasting off again. ash and friends decide to help blaine fix the gym before it erupts at this point charizard helps megmar with the rocks after not listening originally this works but with the field destoryed they decide to battle elsewhere. the match betwene charizard and megmar is a great battle back and forth but charizard wins giving ash the volcano badge. they than head for viridian city for the final gym.

ash and friends are taking a boat to cinibar island when they run into gary oak who says cinibar is now a resort and doesn’t even have a gym which annoys him. when they arrive on the island they find it as a tourist trap with all sorts of suvenior stands and run into a guy with a riddle about what tourists think the answer is hot springs which misty figures out and the guy explains that tourists have ruined the island ash asks about the gym and finds out it is in front of your eyes but it is destoryed for some reason the man gives ash and friends a card and than leaves. ash and friends first check out the pokemon lab which is not in use and is a tourist stand they than look for a hotel room and can’t find one even the pokemon center is full even finding where gary is staying who is about to be put to sleep by jigglypuff after making fun of ash. ash realises the card he gave them is a card for his hotel which misty figures out as a clock which they get to stay at but team rocket attack the pokemon lab which ash and friends as well as the man stop. we find out the man is the gym leader blaine and ash challenges him to a match at the new gym (a volcano). the battle starts after another riddle (blaine wears a wig) with ninetails versus squirtle with despite the type advantage ash loses quickly next up ash uses charizard who still won’t listen against rhydon so he loses (Rhydon is not a fire type). pikachu beats rhydon despite a type disadvantage but when blaine uses megmar it is a complete mismatch pikachu is being beaten and is about to fall in the volcano when the episode ends.
next time ash wants a rematch but if charizard won’t listen what hope does he have.
ash and freinds are continuing on their way to cinibar island where they spot pokemon banners meaning kids day which has them excited which they all went to celebrate when they run into a woman who runs a daycare who is expecting pokemon trainers but not ash and friends but the acctual trainers don’t turn up and cancel so ash and friends decide to let the kids play with the pokemon. team rocket are also excited about kids day and james makes jessie jealous with stories about his kids days growing up. the kids are excited to see the pokemon but one timmy only wants to see a meowth because one saved him a while ago from a beedril but the other kids don’t believe the story. team rocket show up to do a magic show in an attempt to steal pikachu they are briefly succesful in stealing timmy not pikachu by accident. so team rocket decide to put on a fake attempt to make timmy think they are good but meowth doesn’t keep it up too long and when they reveal themselves they are sent blasting off again. ash and friends say goodbye to the kids and continue thier journey.
a boeing 757 is delayed leaving the dominican republic for germany by several hours and the crew are called in at the last miunte and there is mechanical problems with the plane that adds to the delay. the plane leaves after 10pm for the overnight flight the fo gerghan is new to the 757 only flown for it 3 mounths. captain edem has been flying for a long time on the 757. as they takeoff a light rain begins to fall and the airspeed indicators don’t agree they don’t abort the takeoff and start to climb out the speed indicator comes back to life but it is still wrong they start to reduce power for the climbout. they are handed to the main atc center in santo domingo but when they turn the autopilot on they get a string of warnings and the speed on the fos side is slowing down which is right but the captains is indicating too fast and not right. they pop the circut breakers but they still don’t know whats going on the captain decides to slow down creating an immediate stall. the crew fight to save the plane but it becomes inverted and hits the atlantic killing everyone onboard. the cause of the crash is determined to be lack of safety on the pitot tubes that let a bird put its nest into it.

misty and jessie are excited about the princess festival and that the boys have to do everything they tell them to. ash and brock have to pay for things while misty gets to eat for free after eating they go to a big sale where team rocket charge all of jessies purchases to the team rocket account when a lickutung takes it so jessie is able to catch it for revenge and says she will deal with it later. misty and jessie end up at the same store fighting over clothing but a big woman takes it so they decide to settle it in the princess contest which starts with a beauty contest but also has a pokemon battle tornoument which misty and jessie get the guys to give them there pokemon to help their chances for the princess doll set and we find out that both misty and jessie both want it for different reasons to do with their upbrining. misty wins her way easily through the tornoument. jessie also dominates despite using meowth first who has no chance but arbok and weezing help her into the final against misty. the match starts well for misty with pikachu beating arbok, weezing and meowth. but lickatung proves to be tough beating pikachu, bulbasaur and vulpix but the match against psyduck is quite interesting as neither will listen to commands but when psyduck gets a headache its able to win the match for misty (and it wasn’t her intention to use psyduck). misty sends the dolls to her sisters at the gym to make them jelous. team rocket dress up as dolls to cheer jessie up.

a dc-9 is on its way from huntsvile alamaba to atlanta georgia during the worst storm in years. with 81 passengers and 4 crew on board. captain bill mckenzie and fo limon kiel are flying the plane today. the weather is not good enroute the takeoff is normal. the weather is so bad they call a sigmet warning which also has tornadoes and terrible storms. the crew think they have seen a clear spot through the storm but its the worse of it and the windscreen busts and shortly after the engines fail after a power failure. the crew battle to climb after having droped a bit but it makes the engine stop they request to divert the flight to dobbins air force base as they can’t glide to atlanta but not before requesting a clear space which delays the landing and makes dobbins too far to glide they try another airport cartersfield but thats too far and they have to put the plane down on a highway which leads to a crash killing the two pilots and 60 passengers. 21 passengers and the 2 flight attendants survive. the cause of the failure of the engines was the heavy hail the crew encountered the cause of not being able to glide to an airport was partly because they took too long to head for dobbins and also another airport they where almost on top of at one point cornouleus moore but no one knew about it.

we start the movie with a bunch of scientists looking for mew the mythical pokemon for team rocket to create a powerful living replica of mew the man in charge also wants to use the technology to bring back his daughter amber they get a fossil of it and are doing research on cloning it. the scientist says that the clones don’t have concihionous but they are able to talk to each other. the clone of amber tries to explain the situation and they have clones of the starters as well. however most of the clones except mewtwo start to lose stabillity except mewtwo which survives and escapes taking out the doctor/scientist and all the other researchers even though they try there best to effect its memory it doesn’t work. giovanni finds mewtwo and makes a deal with it to be equal partners but is using it to help get pokemon for team rocket and doesn’t consider it equal once he admits it mewtwo attacks him and destroys team rocket headquarters. mewtwo wants revenge as well and plans to redesign the world. meanwhile ash and friends are taking a break and ash is hungry but is challenged to a battle the first match sees bulbasaur take on a donphan (a johto pokemon) which baulbasaur wins squirtle beats a machamp of the trainer and pikachu beats the rest of his pokemon. meanwhile someone gives ash and friends an invatation to meet the strongest pokemon trainer which jessie james and meowth find as well the image is of a woman they say it will go to new island. mewtwo launches a storm out of nowhere which cancels the ferry the transport to new island and we find out the pokemon center is out of action due to the nurse going missing. most trainers attempt to get to the island using their pokemon. ash and friends try and get there in a viking boat controlled by the usual team rocket members and are very lucky to get to the island. only 3 other trainers make it there brock thinks the woman who sent the invatation for mewtwo was the mising nurse joy but she lies about it. team rocket try and sneak in and find a weird science lab. mewtwo than reveals himself claiming to be the greatest trainer on earth even though its a pokemon. mew has been watching a lot of the scenes. mewtwo than does the talking on its own and the nurse joy is revealed. team rocket are supprised to be some pokemon in tanks at this point and find info from the doctor/scientist from earlier meowth getts cloned. one of the trainers acctually tries to catch mewtwo but its a mismatch for his rhyhorn. two of the trainers and ash battle the clones with the final forms of the starters but lose the match. mewtwo than starts to take the pokemon to clone them using some sort of dark pokeball he succeeds in getting most without issue but pikachu puts the biggest fight to it and nearly avoids but doesn’t but ash grabs the pokeball with pikachu in it breaking the machine. the clones appear to the other trainers with mewtwo saying he will spare the lives of them but the normal pokemon turn up with ash and they start to fight the clones. mew shows up to battle mewtwo and this leads to a long standoff which only ash’s piakchu and the meowth don’t fight at all. so ash sacrifices himself by getting in the way of the attacks to stop the fighitng this works and turns to stone but the tears of the pokemon bring ash back to life and convinces mewtwo to stop the fighting in the process and erases the memories of the people there and return them to the port where they don’t know why they where there and nurse joy suggests they go to the pokemon center ash than says he saw a legendry at the start of his journey and the movie ends.

ash and friends continue their journey towards cinibar island when they hear about a new breeding center in the area which talks about pokemon love power which is quite popular. misty decides to leave psyduck with the breeding center just to get rid of it thinking its useless. ash and friends find a all you can eat place if they get his favourite pokemon which turns out to be psyduck so misty goes back to get it from the breeding center but find it closed they find the pokemon put into cages and exhausted and find they had faked doing the work. we find out that the owners are from team rocket named butch and cassidy. jessie and james find the place and we find out that james left a weipenbell there which has evolved into victribell but after encountering ash and friends all of them but misty are arrested and jessie and james are main rivals of butch and cassidy and viceversa. misty tries to get the evidence to free them from jail and manages to get pikachu to sneak into the center and get the camera this works in freeing ash brock and todd and putting team rocket behind bars this works despite a battle. ash and friends say goodbye to todd as he is heading in another direction after the all you can eat buffet.

as ash and friends are taking a break misty critiercises ash for not getting a gym badge for a while which makes ash choke so todd tells ash about the pokemon league entrance exam. ash decides to enter which involves answering questions and than a practical exam team rocket also enter the test as well without telling each other. a nurse joy (From fuscia city) also enters the exam and we find out you can’t use your own pokemon during the exam. jessie and james also lie to meowth about entering the exam. the first exam questions are true or false such as about lickutung toungue and if vulpix evovles with a firestone. about hitmonlee being a punching pokemon which is false ash gets it wrong magikarps only attack is not splash jessie answers everything with true questions about cateripe and koffing as well. the 2nd round is about recognising pokemon which ash and team rocket do badly at (james thinks its a pokeball not a acctual pokemon). ash is close on the next one but it was the pre evolved form. the next one is trickier about ponyta but jessie loses her temper at this point and gets thrown out. ash and james get the lowest scores of those who completed the test. the practical exam involves pokemon battles which has brock exhited about watching nurse joy. james ends up with a pikachu who can’t damage graveller with electric attacks and loses badly to rolout so he uses two pokemon (charizard and ivysaur at the same time) gets disqualified as a result. ash has to use pokemon team rocket use weezing fights well against flareon and wins the first match. round two is joleton versus arbok which is odd and ash doesn’t know its attacks but tries his best but loses due to jolteons spikes and thunder attack. so ash is forced to use a meowth (not team rockets) against vaporeon which ash loses and team rocket attack at this point for revenge but obviously fail. ash decides to go and get badges the normal way not competiting in the exam.

as ash and friends are relaxing not realising they are being watched by a guy with a camera which looks like a gun which scares ash and tries to move people out of the way but knocks the food over. ask gets squirtle to spray the boy who is todd snap who was trying to get a photo of pikachu and he is annoyed at ash for attacking him his method is taking photos in their natural enviorment and reveals that he took a photo of the aerodactyl that kidnapped ash a few eps ago. todds attemps to get pikachu doesn’t work though because pikachus nervous.we find out that team rocket dressed as old people paid todd to get the photo thinking he’d catch it for them in a pokeball or something. team rocket than try and dig a hole to get ash and friends but are spotted by todd so they get in their disguises. ash says that todd doesn’t know about pokemons feeligs but fall into a trap that todd has to get ash and friends out of. and ash is able to avoid going over a waterfall. team rocket than appear to get pikachu but are sent blasting off again after attacking ash and todd. todd and ash make up and become friends.

a boeing 767 is on its way accross canada from montreal to edmonteon in 1983 when the plane is new flying over centreal canada. 63 passengers are on board and 8 crew on july 23 1983. captain bob pearson is in command of the flight fo quintel is also experienced but not on the 767 which was introduced soon. a mechanic is in the cockpit learning about the plane when a low fuel wwarning goes off which supprises the crew as the preasure shouldn’t be low yet so they think it could be maitence but more and more warnings mean it is real despite the computer saying it should be fine. the pilots deside to divert the flight and are cleared to winipeg which will be a difficult task he starts to decend but more fuel warnings go off then the engines fail due to lack of fuel and the instruments fail. the crew prepare the passengers in case they crash or at least a diversion. the plane is falling pretty fast so they ask for another airport and are told about a abandoned air force base in gimli manitoba as they are falling from 26500 feet and 70 miles from winipeg. atc can’t find the plane due to0 the engine failure so they can’t find them. when they find them they are 65 from winipeg 45 from gimli the crew decide on gimli because winipeg they won’t make due to their falling rate the fo had trained at gimli. they originally still consider winipeg but its too far even when they have it in sight. the plane though is too high to land at gimli so they do a manuever that is only seen in gliders but it works and they line up with the runway but they are in for one more unwanted supprise it is no longer an official airport and two kids are running the length of the runway on bikes but no one is kiilled and the landing goes well despite it being a drag racing strip. the cause of the accident is determined to be a failed conversion of fuel that meant they took off without enough fuel for the flight.
next time a double dc-10 problem that should have been fixed during the first incident leads to the 4th worse crash of all time.

ash and friends are on the way to cinibar island in a forest with jigglypuff following them when they hear officer jenny saying stop thief and watch the growlithe squad chase it down but pikachu shocks him which annoys jenny as it was only a training drill. ash decides to get pikachu to train with them despite misty and brock disagreeing with the idea which jenny agrees to reluctantly. ash is woken up eraly for the training with pikachu which starts with running an obstacle course which jenny and growlithe smash him at and they can’t get over a wall. team rocket attack the training center to steal the growlithe which is a bad idea without a plan but they have a voice changer and use weezings smog to confuse the growlithe but it works for a while despite meowths concerns this works for a while but it doesn’t work on pikachu at all though and officer jenny convinces the growlithe to obey her. and team rockets plan fails as usual and meowth tries to get away but it doesn’t work and ash decides to end pikachus training with the growlithe squad.

ash is battling a hikers rhyhorn with his bulbasaur and ash’s baulbasaur wouldn’t dodge the attack and is hurt but won’t return and keeps battling and wins the match but needs to be taken to the pokemon center. and looks like bulbasaur is about to evolve which nurse joy figures it out during its healing and it happens to be during a festival where they evolve. bulbasaur gets out from the pokemon center and pikachu follows it when baublasaur is grabbed by other bulbasaur to be part of the ceremony pikachu tries to follow but can’t keep dodging the vine whip attack and goes to get ash’s help. team rocket also try and follow but are attacked as well and get sent blasting off again and fall into a hole. ash and friends find a big vine wall to get through to find bulbasaur they find the baublasaur who use their powers on the forrest. they see a venasaur which is leading the ceremony the final form of baulbsaur at this point ash finds his bulbasaur which refuses to evolve as the other do into ivysaur. baulbasaur gets into an argument with the other pokemon which sees it attacked but ash comes to its rescue and gets hurt. ash tries to convince the other pokemon to let it not evovle. team rocket try and steal the pokemon which works for a minute but as usual doesn’t work the whole time with the venasaur tries to save the other pokemon and pikachu gets sucked in as well but bulbasaur saves it and is ignored by team rocket so it uses a newly learned solar beam to stop team rocket which works.

ash and friends arrive at a small town pokemon center where they are told they have a call from professor oak who explains a pokedex upgrade which includes new pokemon that have been discovered professor oak says to ash to get more badges and pokemon. ash and friends decide to head to cinibar island and they discuss the pokemon egg that ash found and brock took from him which brock has been looking after. they think what pokemon it could be which are unlikely. team rocket decide to steal the pokemon egg and agree to break their run of failure. team rocket succesfully take it in a weird costume this works and meowth looks after it for a while which has no help from jessie or james (james wants to cook it). ash and friends find them eventually and try and get it back during the battle the egg hatches into togepi (only the 2nd johto pokemon to appear yet) it sees misty first (this will play a part later). after sending team rocket blasting off ash and friends argue over who gets to keep togepi and decide to battle it out with meowth entering the tornoument as well (jessie and james want to but because neither did anything they can’t enter). the first match is brocks onix versus meowth meowth wins by using a bucket of water on it which annoys brock. the next match is ash’s baulbasaur vs misty’s psyduck which ash wins easily by tickiling it. the final sees ash pikachu win in one attack but togepi only wants to go with misty so misty gets it.

a l-1011 is on approach in august 2 1985 to dallas texas from florida on a stormy afternoon and its hot which has delayed a few flights. the delta crew are quite experienced and are supprised by the heat captain ed connoos and fo rudy price are the pilots with flight enginner nick nasic 152 passengers and 11 crew are on board with an eta of just before 6pm but 10-15 minute delay is expected. the weather is not improving with storms the crew are worried about a route they are given due to heavy storms and are given clearence to avoid it. they are expected to land on runway 17left at dfw. the delta crew are closing in on a learjet ahead of them so the tristar is asked to slow down. a weather update is missed by atc due to a freequency change and its not good the weather. only 30 kms from the airport they notice rain ahead but nothing alarming yet they need to slow down to keep their space from the learjet as well. only 9 kms from the runway they are handed to another controller. they are not expecting a bad wind though but all of a sudden encounter first with lightning that doesn’t damage the plane at 1000 feet but than the winds get worse the learjet lands safely but the l-1011 tristar is in trouble with the storm first driving rain and than the wind causes the speed to increase all of a sudden but than they lose control due to the wind it drops fast towards the ground they can’t get the plane to climb or speed up they briefly recover but than lose control again seeing the plane roll hard and drop to the ground they touch the ground 2kms from the runway hits a car on the highway killing the occupent and than crash and a hanger after getting back in the air. the post crash fire kills a lot of people but there are survivors to the crash everyone who lives was at the back of the plane. the cause of the crash was determined to be a microburst a type of windsheer that caused the plane to lose control in the storm. only 27 survive the crash.
next time a miracle glide might end with ground fatalities.
ash and friends are taking a break and discusing the pokemon farfetch’d which is quite rare but had been seen around with plans to capture it. misty encounters it and tries to catch it but isn’t successful but while going after it her bag is stolen by a boy who she crashes into. misty than runs into ash and brock and tells them what happened and realises she is mising all her pokemon. team rocket are also looking for the farfetch’d and find it but get robbed by the boy as well with him lying about getting rid of farfetch’d and then lying about leaving his pokeballs. but the farfetch’d sinks the boat they where trying to get away in and loses the pokeballs. misty reports the crime to officer jenny who says it was not an accident and 5 people have been robbedd already. team rocket are also looking for him. misty finds psyduck who has no idea where any of the pokemon are. team rocket confront the boy about what happened and the boy tries to lie his way out of returnign the pokemon. but he is then confronted by ash and friends as well as officer jenny. ash challenges the guy to a battle but he thinks farfetch’d is too weak but it wants to battle ash uses bulbasaur and the match is pretty close due to farfetch’ds speed but once hit it doesn’t fight back much despite a good defence and fights back with agillity and does win the match so misty uses psyduck to battle and wins with disable and confusion attack. the chargers against the boy are dropped and he thinks it was wrong not to believe in farfetch’d. ash and friends than continue their journey.
ash and friends with the pokemon egg find a missing poster of james of team rocket which confuses them and find a man named jeeves who takes them to an estate team rocket are watching the scene and decide to go and investigate against jameses wishes. ash and friends are amazed at how big the mansion is and team rocket think they hit the jackpot. we find out that james’s parents had appartently passed away and that the estate is now his. according to the will he must get married before 12 noon. ash and friends find james who pretends tto have amnesia and we find out a bit more about his past including his growlithe (growlie). jessie and meowth don’t care that james doesn’t want to get married and try and force it but we find out that his parents aren’t acctually dead and they had faked their death so he’d come home and we are introudced to his fiance jessibelle who looks like jessie. team rocket won’t let james escape or get out of getting married. team rocket get tricked into going into the basement to get jessie and meowth seperated from james who are knocked out along with ash and friends using viloplumes stun spore. just as the weding is about to happen growlie comes to james’s rescue so james gets away and rejoins team rocket while ash and friends try and get away from jessibelle.
ash and friends are taking a break when pikachu is in pain from eating an appple whole and its voice is bad they look for a pokemon center but end up at a hospital as there is none around. the doctor doctor proctor won’t help pikachu until misty convinces him to and it is fixed quickly. just after its fixed he gets a call saying that team rocket have crashed a van and a lot of pokemon are hurt so he needs to fix them which is not easy so jessie and james help out for a bit and than try and steal the pokemon while meowth looks for its charm during the battle proctor gest hurt and knocked out which doesn’t help as team rocket attack but proctor recovers in time and explains that arbok and weezing won’t attack chansey it helped them.
housing affordiabillity needs to be made easier and also improve access to people getting their first home. while sanctions against irans not a bad idea israel and saudi arabia shouldn’t be let off what they are doing especially in the region. the new zelland election in october will be interesting with polls tightening and labor could lose unfortunately.
ash and friends arrive in grandpa canyon which is a natural wonder and see a lot fo people with pick axes gary reveals himself and says its the great fossil rush and gary says he will get the fossils before anyone. ash also starts to look brock thinks its a bad idea jigglypuff is seen watching them. as people dig for fossils gary finds some pokemon manure which disgusts his cheerleaders (which he mistakes for a brain). team rocket reveal themselves as they are planting dynamite to get all the fosils by blowing up the canyon which they have already set up despite meowth supicions. ash and pikachu try and stop them with squirtle using water gun but is just short of the fuse and team rocket try and prevent ash and squirtle from stopping it and when james trips sends them into a ball then pikachu attacks the fuse which sets it off sending ash, pikachu and team rocket into a cavern while squirtle is hurt but ok and is saved from the hole by misty and brock but it was a big rock slide that traps the rest. ash and team rocket try and work together to get out of the cave and encounter prehistoric pokemon omanmyte omastar kabuto and kabotops which attack ash and team rocket ash tries to use charmeleon who still won’t listen to him and none of the other pokemon are strong enough even though team rocket are excited to try and get them as well. oficer jenny finds misty and brock trying to get help and they try and remove the rocks but it takes a while. when the prehistoric pokemon suddenly run away they encounter a aerodytcyl another one which attacks and grabs ash pikachu and charmeleon (who is knocked out quickly). with ash weakened and about to be eaten by aerodyatcyl misty comes up with the idea of getting jigglypuff to put ash and friends to sleep. charmeleon wants to battle aerodactyl and evolves into charizard in the process (which makes it a part flying type) this leads to it following aerodactyl to battle it jigglypuff puts them to sleep and charizard saves ash from falling aerodactyl falls back into the cave. ash finds a pokemon egg and digging is banned from the canyon brock steals the egg from ash and runs away with it.

ash and friends are in a desert near a town which is neon town a lit up version of las vegas which has a lot of people who are angry that ash and team rocket find out the hard way officer jenny explains people are quite agitable due to being up all night. ash and friends leave neon town the next morning and find a jigglypuff who wants to sing but can’t who misty wants to catch with staryu but doesn’t work. team rocket decide to have a plan to sing to the people of neon town by recording its song they try and take it from ash and friends first with a weird song it doesn’t work and recording it fails. the problem is jigglypuffs song puts people to sleep automatically even psyduck (who is asleep with its eyes open). ash and friends look for an outdoor stage to get jigglypuff to sing on which team rocket help with it works in calming down the town and makes everyone happy.

ash and friends arrive in mosgreen village which is small and doesn’t have a gym or a pokemon center but need to get supplies there while team rocket are watching but meowth is sick and is helped by a girl named cassandra who is angry at team rocket for trying to abandon meowth who is smitten at the human (Which is weird). ash and friends ask an old woman for medicine who is cassandras grandma cassandra shows herself than. cassandra wants to battle ash with a paras (a bug/grass type) which ash first uses pikachu but paras is scared of battling and even with an advantage fails ash uses squirtle same thing but charmeleon who won’t listen to ash beats it easily and its runs away. ash and friends look for it but can’t find it ash feels guilty for what happened. team rocket find it and meowth convinces jessie and james to help paras evolve using arbok and weezing which works along with beating meowth. they than get ash to help but after beating pikachu it is no match for charmeleon who still won’t listen so team rocket try and help paras doing a weird cheer. paras is now scared again but than evolves into parasect and uses spore to win the match. meowth won’t be cassandras mascot despite it being his dream.
ash and friends arrive in town during a carnival which excites ash and brock who want to party while misty goes to keep her distance with pikachu. our heroes enjoy the carnival a lot misty encounters a magician who is losing his assistance due to lack of money from people not going to the show so he convinces misty to participate in his show. ash and brock are among the few people watching the show and are introduced to the magicians execute but his act is boring and he is kicked out of the carnival. ash tries to show him how to preform with pokemon showing the starter pokemons attacks in a way that might impress people team rocket are in the area. the magiciains execute reveal they know hypnosis which they use on ash and they then use it to help catch some executor using the starter pokemon. team rocket than attack to get the executor but the hypnosis attack confuses them. ash recovers but they find the executor about to attack the carnival which scares the people. ash uses his pokemon to attack the executor to keep them from being blown up by the mayors bomb and charmander does a good job but gets tired so melvin (the magician) helps beat them with fire. charmander than evolves into charmeleon and ash and friends say goodbye to melvin.

ash and friends arrive in dark city which is a pretty deserted town even in the middle of the day and the people are scared of pokemon trainers pikachu shocks some kids who where on a roof. a man fixes the fight and takes them to his resturant we find out there is gang war in the town between two possible gyms lead by an electrobuzz and a scyther trainer who want pokemon league recognition team rocket are siding with the kaz gym and threaten the resturant owner as bodyguards brock beats team rocket using vulpix which impresses a yaz gym person who takes ash and friends to the gym. ash and friends use fake identites to avoid getting their names involved in the war. the woman tries to get them to join but the leader attacks with his scyther which makes it known that scyther is infuriated by the color red. ash and friends with the kids decide to try and stop the fighting in the town. both gyms are trying to prove themselves to the inspector for money when they battle ash and friends throw tomato sauce on them this makes the leaders angry and try and attack ash and friends after things calm down but the inspector (a nurse joy) stops it and tells them they won’t be gyms and should listen to ash to figure out how to fix the town. the kids thank pikachu especially and then they leave.
a boeing 737 departs cyprus for athens greece on an early morning flight for charter company helios airlines andres pudremau is filing in as a flight attendant (he is one but wasn’t scheduled hewants to be a pilot). the pilots are highly experienced pilots the fo is from cyprus. 115 passengers are on board the low cost flight. the takeoff and inital climb is normal leaving just after 9am. minutes into the flight an odd warning goes off in the cockpit which the crew think its the takeoff config warning which shouldn’t go off at altitude they contact maitence but get no clue on what the problem is and they tthnag et a master caution warning in the cabin the oxygen masks are lowered. the flight attendants are waiting for information and the pilots don’t know what is going on and are confused by the warnings they almost figure out the problem but reply with a different question not checking what the mechanic says they than are unconcinious the crew and most passengers are and they are 30 minutes into the flight. atc can’t communicate with the plane either. greece sends fighter jets to investigate the 737 and see what is happening and find all but one flight attendant unconchious the steward (andres) enters the cockpit but its too late to save the plane it hits a hill killing everyone on board who wasn’t already dead after running out of fuel. the investigation determines the cause of the crash to be maitence not turning the presurisation to auto which meant the plane didn’t presurise and caused everyone to be unconchicious how andres stayed well during the ordeal is not really explained.
ash and friends are continunig their journey with pikachu asleep but is woken up by a hypie type person using a pokeflute for money or food but ash and friends don’t have any. team rocket don’t give him anything either. the next town has no food except the mayor has some and gives them some due to a drought caused by a snorlax blocking the river which sees ash and friends go and investigate and find the snorlax asleep and a bunch of thorns that they can’t get through and they hurt misty. ash and friends try and work with team rocket to wake up the snorlax using unusual techniques but that doesn’t work so they go to the hypie whose pokeflute should wake it but battle over it. the snorlax than eats all the thorns and the hypie reveals he knows it. it is all fixed in the end.
next time a town has two groups battling for gym rights ash tries to fix it.
ash and friends are on the outskirts of stone town when they find an eevee tied to a tree which has the potentional to evolve into 3 different pokemon but this one has a trainer which ash and friends head to stone town to return it and find a big party for pokemon that evolve with evoultion stones. team rocket are watching the party as well. we meet 3 brothers who know the eevee their fourth brother is mikey who is not happy about the idea of evolving eevee but his brothers won’t listen and want mikeys to evolve. ash stands up for mikey against the brothers over evolving pokemon. misty meanwhile lets horsea swim and talks to mikey about standing up to his brothers as she has 3 sisters of her own. but before he tries to tell them his opinion at this point team rocket attack to steal the pokemon and the food (but not psyduck) pidgeotto takes down the balloon but its a decoy but mistys horsea leaves a trail which helps them find it. team rocket try and force eevee to evolve by using all 3 stones at once but ash finds them and during the battle they get eevee to safety with help from the brothers beat team rocket with eevee finishing them off. mikey convinces his brothers to keep eevee as it is which they agree to keep having the party.
next time a snorlax won’t wake up cutting water to a town.

ash and friends are in the forrest taking a break and having a good time when they run into a bunch of wild pikachu which ash’s tries to get along with but the pikachu reject him because of having a trainer until ash’s rescues one of them from going over a waterfall (Ash’s originally gets along but they scared off by ash) with help from the wild ones. team rocket spot the pikachu and want to steal them. that night ash’s pikachu is welcomed into the pack with ash and friends watching from a distance and are quite happy brock makes acomment that its best for pikachu to be with his own kind which has ash worried. at this point team rocket try and steal the pikachu with a net but fail as usual as the pikachu bite their way out of it and team rocket have their usual fate. ash at this point considers leaving pikachu with the wild ones despite misty and brock and pikachu tryirng to convince him otherwise and ash keeps pikachu especially after a show of support from the wild ones.

this is a brief episode write up ont he ep that caused seizures in japan. ash and friends a visit to the pokemon center where team rocket have put a virus into the computers sees ash and friends with the help of a porygon defeat them.
ash and friends encounter a storm and have to hide in a old building thinking its empty but a woman named duplica who is a trainer and her ditto (a pokemon that transforms and is in a pikachu form). duplica is dressed as ash and reveals that ditto can’t change its face which is an issue. ash doesn’t think its interesting so he battles duplica using baulbasaur against ditto which ditto wins and ash understands now the power of the ditto. duplica shows her costumes of nurse joy and officer jenny among others. ash feels down after losing and thinks its a fake strategy but its not (the ditto) but duplica partly explains it but also says the face is the issue that makes her show not popular. team rocket show up and steal ditto so they send pidegotto and zubat after it. team rocket try and use ditto to change into different pokemon and other things such as dratini and a kid jessie had a crush on but it won’t do it. team rockets threats get ditto to fix its face at this points ash and friends immitate the team rocket motto to get ditto back. team rocket try and trick duplica to keep ditto but it doesn’t work.and get sent blasting off.

a boeing 737 departs sharmel shake egypt in the early morning for cario and paris in january 2004 under the command of a veteran captain and a junior fo the 5am departure isn;’t for veryone afmaily cancelled at the last minute there tickets. flash airlines was a controversal low cost carrier that had safety issues in the low cost carrier. the cockpit also has a third pilot who is learning ot be a fo. one of the instruments isn’t working but doesn’t need fixing and the pilots laugh it off at the expense of the fo. the climb out in the dark starts normal but than during a turn over the red sea the plane starts to bank weirdly to the right when the plane should be going left. the plane starts to lose control with the captain losing vcontrol of the plane nothing they do works and they crash into the red sea killing everyone on board. despite rumors of a terrist attack due to being in the sinai and the biritsh pm holidaying there it is quickly ruled out. the investigation looks at the pilots and the airline and find deficencies in both with training being critercised as well as the actions of the crew not speaking up to the captain during the problem. the crew where also suffering from vertigo which lead to the turn going out of control.the crash ends flash airlines operations as they had already been proven unsafe and banned from a few countries this led to the eu blacklist of airlines.
next time one man survives no oxygen for 3 hours but can he save a boeing 737 before it hits athens.
the alice springs crisis should be exposed but not in a way that is a bit racist to prove a point. the banks are in trouble for raising interest rates to quickly and not passing on cuts when they need to.
ash and friends are in a city when they find the start of the cycling road which is on a not finished bridge (Cars can go on it as well). misty reminds ash that he and pikachu destroyed her bike. they can’t offord a bike to get accross the bridge so they go to the pokemon center where nurse joy asks for their help delivering medicine to sunny town using her bikes. ash and friends enjoy the bike ride but team rocket are watching them and reveal they used to ride bikes in the area as well. as ash and friends take a break they run into a bike gang who cause a scene and make it hard for ash and friends to leave without a battle the first match sees ash battle a guys golem with originally bulbasaur ash doesn’t do well despite the type advantage so he switches to charmander who wins by using fire attacks again despite a type disadvatnge. one of the girls uses closter to battle mistys psyduck but psyduck is useless without getting a headache at this point team rocket reveal themselves on unicycles and that they used to be members of the gang at this point they flee due to officer jenny turning up who agrees to help ash and friends get to sunny town but is called away and the weather turns ugly. and the bike gang and team rocket go into the storm to get ash’s pikachu. team rocket fail to get it and ash and friends convince the bike gang to let them through and the shelder is healed.

ash and friends arrive in the safari zone for real this time and are very happy to see a lot of pokemon ash wants to catch a lot of them and run into the warden who threatens them and gives them safari balls and shows a picture of dratini a dragon type pokemon. professor oak explains over the phone the situation of the safari zone team rocket are also in the area and encounter ash and friends but get in troubel from the warden. ash encounters a herd of 30 tauros and ends up cafching them all (brock gets one too that we never see again) when he wanted a rhyhorn that they encounter at one point. team rocket threaten the warden to get dratini using weird things. pikachu frees warden from the machine. team rocket find dratini and try and catch it but doesn’t work. ash and friends help fix the situation and dratini evolves into dragonair to save ash from drowning.
next time old friends of team rocket cause trouble.
ash and friends still think they are entering the safari zone but they are wrong again as officer jenny finds them and tries to arrest them for stealing pokemon. jenny reveals its a pokemon preservation area but lets them off with a warning. team rocket are attacking some kanaskan when a small kid rescues them from team rockets weapons. the boy than enters the kangskans pouch. they hear a helicopter and find two parents who are looking for a boy named tommy who went mising 5 years ago it turns out to be the boy from earlier. ash and friends agree to help find him literally carrying the parents through the area. tommy shows himself and is angry at them because he thought they hurt a kangskan. tommy doesn’t remeber his parents but is a bit confused about what happened. the parents want to take tommy home to regain his memory but tommy doesn’t want to and is confused. team rocket attack again with a robotic kangaskan but there plan is stopped by tommy and ash as well as ash’s pokemon. tommys parents also try and sacrifice themselves for the kangskan but survive and agree to live with tommy and the kangasakn.
next time a banned episode featuring a dragon type (maybe?) or a bike gang that team rocket used to be in.
ash and friends think they have arrived in the safari zone but its a pokemon where they see a bunch of tauros out of control which ash wants pikachu to battle but it won’t when ash uses charmander it is stopped by a growlithe which ash tries to than battle with squirtle but a woman named lara laramie stops her who explains its a pokemon reserve so you can’t catch pokemon here and that is a famous place to raise pokemon in the wild she reveals her ponyta won’t hurt anyone that it trusts which is clear ash will have to earn its trust at some point. lara reveals there is a big party there that night and the big pokemon race is the next day we rae introduced to her rival dario and his dodrio who were creating problems at the ranch. the party is interupted by team rocket attacking the tauros with something during the procedure to fix it laras injured so she convinces ash to enter with her ponyta to beat dario. dario makes a deal with team rocket that if he wins they get a big reward by team rocket cheating for him. ash agrees to enter with ponyta misty and brock also enter with starmie and onix respectivaely (pikachu and squirtle enter somehow as well). team rockets cheating already leads to trainers being disqualified by fighting each other. ash and dario lead most of the race except when a electrode briefly leads but is taken out by team rocket. ponyta is in the lead at this point but getting over the water using stones is hard a trainer and its rhyhorn and brock pull out at this point. as they stop to eat food ash and dario are still neck and neck with misty and pikachu also close team rocket attack but misty convinces ash to try and catch dario as the rest eat. team rocket reveal themselves as the cheaters. it is a close race between dario and ash but ponyta evolves into rapidassh helping ash win the race. dario accuses ash of cheating which is hypercritical and gets sent off ash is given a trophy. team rocket get pecked by darios dodrio and ash and friends continue their journey.

a boeing 737 is approaching dubrovnik croatia with a bunch of goverenment officals on board during a war period on april 3 1996. the weather though is not good today infact commerical flights (this is a goverenment charter) is cancelled. among the passengrs is commerce secutary ron brown. the flight is delayed and has to avoid restricted airspace due to the war there is also clouds to avoid. the plane is an older 737. the flight is under the command of captain aj davis. as the weather is not good the crew need to stay in communcation with atc. the atc restrictions force them onto a longer route to dubrovnik. the crew expect to see hear the beacons which are needeed for the appraoch but with the weather bad its not good and is also outdated technology. the crew continue to decend and hear the first signal. as they approach the airport the plane hears the terrain alarm and goes mising. despite thinking they could have diverted or crashed into the sea the plane is found in the mountains with only the flight attendant surviving and she dies of injuries. the cause is determined to be problems with the millitary chain of command approving dangeorous approaches and lack of proper equipment including the wrong minimum safe altitude for the approach.

an aeromexico dc-9 is approaching lax from mexico in a busy day in lax with a rookie controller monitoring the airspace on a holiday weekend from tijiuna mexico. meanwhile a piper is departing a nearby airport for big bear lake but should be clear of lax on august 31 1986. the airspace is intrdued by a light aircraft a gruman tiger thats not supposed to be there just after the aeromexico enters the airspace which is not supposed to be there. meanwhile the dc-9 prepares to land it gets hit by a shudder and crashes into a community of la it hit the piper no one lives on either plane and several on the ground are killed where the planes crashed the controller leaves his post for the last time. the cause of the colision was the pipers lack of navigation skills and the lack of a transponder or contacting atc the gruman tiger is also critiercised for going off course.
qantas to reopen their hong kong lounge despite saying it will be perminately closed as part of their lounge changes. thai airways to close the changi lounge leaving terminal 1 without a star alliance lounge but there are singapore airlines lounges in other terminals. parliament returned with a over the top scare campaign about refugees that is going to ad to the risk of boats coming more than the policy on its own itself.
a china airlines boeing 747 is on its way from taipei to lax when the main crew take back over command of the flight as planned. the flight is smotth until they encounter turballance enroute which leads to engine 4 providing weak thrust causing the plane to lose speed and it looks like it failed the crew try and relight it but it doesn’t work yet and the plane banks hard and slows down causing the crew to disconnect the autopilot which doesn’t help as the plane falls towards the sea people get hurt and the plane is out of control after a 30000 feet dive the plane gets under control again nad recovers but the gear is forced down and the injuries are bad enough they need to divert to sanfransisco even after regaining engine power the rest of the flight proves uneventful and they land safely with no deaths. the cause was the pilots mishandling the engine issue which was expected as it had recent trouble.

a cyclone is approaching new zelland which has lead to a lot of disruptions. man city overcame a bad time to beat aston villa 3-1. the critercism of qantas is valid despite what some people say (namely alan joyce and experts like geffory thomas).
ash and friends arrive in fucia city but can’t find the gym after another annoyance from misty about psyduck especially with brock doing things with vulpix which annoys her. ash and friends find a old house while being watched by a venonat its a weird ninja mansion they try and figure a way out. getting out isn’t easy and the venonat confuses them as does invisible walls. we find a trainer named aya who wants to battle ash with venonat vs bulbasaur which despite the type disadvantage ash wins the match. at this point the gym leader koga turns up with a voltorb who is ayas big brother. the battle is two on two kogas venonat evolves into venemoth before the match and pidgeotto does well until venemoth uses sleep powder ash uses charmander who uses flamethrower to beat venemoths stun spore at this point team rocket attack and try and get the pokemon which is hard but mistys psyduck (which wasn’t even called) beats them after a long battle with psychic attacks. the match resumes with charmander beating kogas golbat to give ash his 6th badge the soul badge.
ash and friends are in the mountains on their way to fuscia city with team rocket also in the area when they run into a dam being built which is damaging the enviorment which is having trouble because of the diglett. the builder wants them destroyed so wants able bodied trainers to battle them at this point gary oak turns up and tries to use his pokemon to stop the diglett but none of the other trainers pokemon would listen or garys. team rocket want there pokemon to evolve to give them a chance but it won’t work yet. gary and his cheerleaders and the other trainers leave while ash tries to figure out why the pokemon won’t battle. meanwhile team rockets pokemon evolve but we don’t see into what as ash and friends and the engiineer figure out the reason there pokemon won’t battle and he agrees to not build the dam. at this point team rocket reveal their new pokemon arbok and weezing and use them to battle but the diglett and dugtrio (the evolved form) beat them. ash and friends continue their journey.
ash and friends arrive in gringy city which is heavily poluted and pikachu is feeling sick with an electric cold so ash takes it to the pokemon center where the nurse isn’t helpful while team rocket try and swim through the sewers to get to the pokemon center but it doesn’t work due to a power failure which ash and friends head to investigate originally leaving pikachu with nurse joy until pikachu finds them and doesn’t want to be abandoned so ash lets them go on. the grimer is the cause of the problem blocking the system. ash and friends also encounter a magnamite that is attracted to pikachu for some reason. ash and friends encounter the grimer and a muk which misty annoys by commenting on the smell they run into the engineers. the magnamite defeats the poision types. and ash catches the muk which still has the smell but durin the battle pikachu is no longer magantised so all ends well with them finishing off team rockets magnet. muk is sent to professor oak.
ash and friends run into a hitomunchun a fighting type which is being watched by a girl. ash tries to battle with pikachu and after a bit of training loses badly when the hitomunchuns trainer turns up. the girl is revaled to be the mans (anthony) daughter and wants him to come home but he won’t agree until he wins the p-1 grand prix rebecca (the girl) asks ash and friends for help beating her dad in pokemon matches. ash decides to enter on brocks insistance with primape brock enters with geodude (a rock/ground type not a fighting type in the games). team rocket also enter stealing a hitmonlee to enter and calling themselves giant. the first match is primape vs a machop primape finally listens to ash after taking damage and wins the match with mega kick. brock loses to team rocket in the next match despite geodudes tough body. primape is in the final so its between team rocket and anthony for the other spot which antony ends up losing after forefiting to save rebecca. the final is won by ash’s primape despite team rocket cheating. ash gives primape to anthony to help get stronger and anthony agrees to spend time with his family.
ash and friends arrive in scisor street also known as breeders lane where brock wants to see the latest pokemon breeder gear. misty sees a fashion poster of ekans and koffing and wants to go in to salon rockette the name has ash and misty succpicious as its run by team rocket (its pretty obvious right away). brock finds his destination and we are introduced to suzy a pokemon breeder who is using massage to help pokemon get more energy. suzys vulpix is introduced as well which misty is immediately is interested in the fire type (not in ctaching it). brock wants to be suzys apprentance but she says no despite brock explaining all her accomplishments. during a discussion over lunch misty asks suzy about the fashion trends that team rocket are doing and how it wants pokemon to be flashy which they don’t agree. misty thinks whats on the outside matters but most think its the inside is more important but misty disagrees. misty decides to take psyduck to team rockets place suzy is worried about the new trend and desides with ash and brocks help to run a seminar (on brocks idea) to prove their point. misty is at this point the only client at team rockets. during the makeover of misty (who gets the makeover not psyduck) but when meowth reveals himself they try and get info but psyduck escapes and finds ash and friends who go and battle team rocket. the battle starts even until vulpix finishes them off after team rocket reveal their plan is a scam. brock than gets given suzys vulpix as suzy goes on her own journey.

ash and friends arrive in hophop town where ash is mistaken for a child named arnold by a confused woman who is mising her son arnold after talking to officer jenny we find that the town has a missing children problem and the pokemon center has a problem with exhausted pokemon that are low on energy and a psyduck has a constant headache so jenny thinks there is a connection between the two problems she finds a sleep wave using a detector which indicates there are sleep waves around team rocket have a plan to steal the pokemon emiting it officer jenny finds a tall building is where its coming from and find that at the same time the kids went mising that a bunch of old peoples drowze evolved into hypno and is using its sleep waves to help them sleep and drowzee is also using sleep waves. the hypnosis attack makes misty think she is a seel following her makes them find the missing kids who are under the spell still they fix the problem using drowzees attack on misty. at this point team rocket try and steal the hypno but it doesn’t work as usual and the drowzee. they heal the pokemon at the center and fix the kids. brock offers to help nurse joy with the psyduck but it ends up being misty who catches it.

a boeing 737 operating united flight 585 is on approach to colorado springs when they encounter heavy winds on approach and than rolls into the ground killing everyone on board no one realises when the investigation starts that it will take years to find the cause the investigation figures it is to do with the rudder but can’t prove what acctually caused the crash and there is very little evidence to point in the right direction even though the rudder control unit is suspected the winds couldn’t be ruled out either it is at the time only the 4th ntsb failed investigation but a us air flight approaches pitsburgh and has the same prolbem and crashes on approach killing all on board but again can’t figure out the crash despite the similairties to the united crash but with no weather involved but there was wake turballance in the area but it wouldn’t have caused the accident just as the ntsb is about to give up a third 737 operating an eastwind flight into richmond has the same problem but lands safely leading to them figuring out that the rudder can freeze during flight and that it could cause major banking that caused the other crashes.

pnerith won a 22-16 win over eels in a practice match last night. hopefully the voice to parliamnet passes in the referendum it needs to help fix the historical wrongs. housing affordatabillity and higher wages need to be the priority of the goverenment economically not bussiness profits.
a boeing 747 is enroute from seoul to guam when they encounter severe turballance but rides it out the weather isn’t good in guam either but the crew has an experienced captain who was changed from a uae flight to the guam flight due to a schedule change. the flight attendnats move some of the duty free alcohol that was damaged due to the turballance btu the flight is back to being smooth. the approach starts normal despite not having a glide slope in operation that night so they will have to do a step down approach. the storm they are encuntering is makin the approach more difficult and finding the runway a bit harder as they have to move around the clouds. suddenly the glide slope comes to life all of a sudden which confuses the crew during the approach and the weather is worse than it was but the crew think they’ll see the runway soon but they start hearing the ground proximety warning system and the crew eventually do a goaround but its too late they hit a hill (nimitz hill) only 26 people survive out of about 300 the govenor helps the rescue operation but the fire kills most people including the pilots. the cause of the crash is determined to be pilot error not helped by the fact that the junior pilots wouldn’t speak up to the captain in the approach.
another qantas problem on a flight indicates that alan joyces money saving ideas are destroying the company. albury to melbourne rex flights are back on the table hopefully it happens. a future coalmine in qld has been blocked on enviortmental grounds which is the right thing but also the fact that clive palmer can’t run a bussiness to save his life due to his record in recent years should also means it should be blocked.
a dc-9 is on its way from dallas to toronto with 41 passengers 3 flight attendants and 2 pilots onboard. the pilots are having dinner at cruising height with the fo eating first. the flight is smooth at crusing height of 33000 feet. the first sign of trouble is the circuit breakers popping which indicates a possible problem with the toilets flushing motor (where it is). in the cabin a passenger notices a weird odor and they notice smoke and a weird smell the senior flight attendant is told and uses the fire extingusher but it doesn’t fix the problem. the fo and the flight attendant disagree on how bad the smoke is with the fo saying they should decend but the flight attendant thinks its improving but it gets worse not better and they are losing electrical systems it is clear they need to decend to an emergency landing. they declare mayday and request diversion to cliinciatti airport and they decend to 6000 feet. the plane is on emergency power and the smoke is suffocating passengers and the oxygen masks can’t be lowered due to it not being in the procedure for fire the flight attendants tell the passengers how to open the overwing exits not normal procedure in 1983. the plane lands smoothly against the odds passengers trying to escape after landing but its not proving easy and the captain is slumped on the controls so the fo asks the fire crew to hit it with foam this works to save the captains life but 23 passengers die in the fire all the crew and 18 passengers survive. the cause of the accident was damage to the rear preasure bulkhead in a tail strike before the crash there is critiercism of the pilots not diverting to a nearer airport in louivile but the rate of decent needed made them think they made the right call.

ash and friends arrive in celadon city which is a big metropolis with high buildings and a lot of perfume scents which leads to brock and misty going around which annoys ash who thinks perfume is a ripoff. the boss of the place is angry at ash for his views and ash tries to head to the gym but is denied access due to the perfume being manufactored at the gym. team rocket also try and steal from the gym but get banned as well after encountering a gloom (a grass/posion type) which has an awful smell. ash forms a deal with team rocket to get into the gym and they dress ash as a woman to help the situation. ash goes into the gym and hears a story from erica the gym leader which is a story that brock and misty (who are in the gym enjoy). after a discussion ash is forced to take off his disguise by pikachu ash and erica agree to battle. the first match is baulbasaur vs tangela both grass types balubasaur uses vine whip versus tangelas constrict and than tangela uses stun spore which ash switches to charmander who beats tangela but gloom than beats charmander so pikachu battles but before the match continues team rocket attack which destroys the gym with explosives catching fire ash rescues gloom and with help of the water types puts the fires out and wins ash the rainbow badge.
ash rings professor oak to give him an update and finds out that gary and the other trainers are a badge ahead and through celeadon city which makes ash want to get more pokemon. ash is feeling down as a result but finds out from brock that celadon city is close so they will be there within a day. ash wants to catch more pokemon and encounters a fighting type pokemon mankey which takes one of the donut and uses it to get away from the pokeball it also becomes angry using thrash attack and uses it to bash ash and takes ash’s hat which angers him as he won it in a pokemon league contest sending in a lot of postcards which misty also entered with only one. team rocket turn up and james kicks mankey which makes it evolve into primape and is more out of control. primape hurts jessie so she uses the pokemon to attack it but ash wants his hat when trying to get away pikachu tries to get it but after primape beatas up team rocket it stops pikachu. primape keeps using thrash so ash battles it to try and catch it after falling into team rockets hole. ash uses bulbasaur first which fails and than charmander which learns rage attack to help ash catch the primape while pikachu gets the hat for ash and they find out they have arrived in celadon city.

a 747 is flying from kuala lumper to perth australia on a normal british airways flight in august 1982. captain eric mody goes to the washroom as they are pretty smooth during this time a weird smoke enters the plane and the pilots spot a weird light show which they think is a st elmos fire which is strange as theres no clouds in teh area. the light show is not the only thing as the no 4 engine and than all 4 engines start to have trouble and fail menaing they have to glide from 37000 feet to an airport jarkata is the nearest but its behind them and with mountains in the path they will either hit a mountain or ocean if they don’t start the engines. getting the mayday to atc isn’t easy. the crew try and restart the engines and have multiple failures and they will have to decide if to ditch or hit a mountain (bad options both of them). they choose to ditch if they can’t start the engines just before they would have to turn to the sea the engines restart which allows them to get some space from the mountains when the no 2 engine fails again after trying everything else to get the plane under control. as they near jarkata they realise theres no glideslope and the windscreen is damaged but they land safely against the odds. they find out they encountered volcaniac ash during the flight that caused the engines to fail but had loosened enough to restart.

ash and friends return to saffron city where ash is ready to battle the gym and convinces misty and brock to watch but haunter doesn’t follow them and ash has to forefit again and barely gets away (misty and brock don’t) from sabrinas powers. the man from before rescues ash and explains that ash will need to find haunter as well as the history of sabrina and how she used her psychic powers since she was littlle the man is revealed to be sabrinas father. team rocket plan to use a net on pikachu but haunter stops them luckily ash convinces haunter to help him beat sabrina. but when the rematch happens haunter won’t battle so pikachu battles in its place and despite doing well when kadabra uses recover and attacks it looks over until haunter appears and makes sabrina laugh her dad gives ash the victory so he gets the marsh badge.
next time charmander learns a new attack ash finds out he is behind the other pallet trainers.
ash and friends approach lavender town when they get lost in a fog. ash and friends find the pokemon tower where the ghost types are. it takes a while to make them go in. team rocket go in ahead to the tower and encounter a gastly. ash goes in to the tower with his friends but get scared of gengar and haunters laughing forcing them to leave (partly because team rocket also scream). ash pikachu and charmander reenter the building and encounter haunter who scares ash from behind and the other ghosts appear. ash dies and leaves his body because of the ghosts but after a bizare out of body experience ash is put back in his body alive. ash than convinces haunter to help him battle sabrina.
next time the gym rematch but haunter won’t listen.
a woman is watching ash and friends enter safron city. but before that they see a young girl and ash almost goes off a cliff but balubasaur saves them. when they get into town they are ambushed by team rocket in disguise who steal pikachu and send them into a warp tile. but the young girl saves pikachu and freezes team rocket allowing ash and friends to escape. a man tells ash not to challenge the gym but ash still enters the gym after a scene where ash tries to use psychic powers which doesn’t work. ash challenges sabrina the gym leader to a one on one battle which if ash loses they will play with him. sabrinas pokemon is an abra ash uses pikachu but abra just uses teleport while sleeping which makes it hard for pikachu to land an attack. and than abra evolves into kadabra and easily wins the match with confusion and psychic attack. ash and friends after he loses are transported to a doll house which suppirises them the man from earlier helps them get away though using psychic powers. the man says there is only one hope for ash to win the match get a ghost type from lavender town so ash and friends head there.

ash and friends are nearing safron city when they have a view from a cliff which impresses them and a big drop when they see some butterfree flying as part of their season of love brock convinces ash that he will have to leave butterfree to mate with other butterfree. butterfree falls for a pink butterfree (the first different colored one in the series) but can’t convince it to fall in love with it. ash tries to cheer butterfree up but its not feeling good about it. brock gives it a new look as an attempt to help the situation. team rocket turn up to steal the butterfree which they manage to get all but ash’s who tries to get back the butterfree but doesn’t work. ash and friends use team rockets motto and get the butterfree out and defeat team rocket. the pink butterfree falls for ash’s and ash releases butterfree so they can be together and they leave for safron city.

ash and friends arrive in maiden peak brock is feeling down as summer is over as he wanted to see girls. team rocket also arrive in town where there is a festival brock spots a image of a maiden which pikachu knows is the ghost type gastly. we meet an old lady as well who warns them about the maiden. team rocket meet the old woman as well we hear from a man about the legend of the maiden who died 2000 years ago aproxamently but the spirit lives on. brock spends the night looking at the maiden rock even after curfew. team rocket want to steal the painting and meowth spots the ghost. ash misty and jessie find each other looking for brock and james respectalively. the old lady sells them things to protect them from the ghosts but they don’t work and after jessie attacks the ghost which causes the gastly to reveal itself as both the old lady and the maiden who uses its hypnotic powers to make things hard for anyone to beat it but when the sun comes up it flees. ash and friends celebrate the festival and continue their journey.
next time its butterfree love season and also the first alternate colored pokemon.
ash and friends are trying to continue their journey but can’t get a boat off porta vista the only place with faries to the mainland. pikachu spots a horsea a water type pokemon who misty wants to catch although its injured who uses its ink to show tentacool and tentacruel although we don’t know what we need yet. meanwhile a boat is attacked that misty rescues the passengers and find out that nastina (a cousin of brutella from the previous episode) who wants ash and friends to exterminate the tentacool who are ruining the resort she is making. ash and friends decline on mistys insistence despite the big reward. so nastina tries to get help from the locals and team rocket agree to do it. ash and friends visit the horsea who is feeling a little better just before that scene. team rocket pour stun sauce onto the tentacool but the way they do it creates a giant tentacruel which attacks the resort and the town. team rocket are holding onto a pole without meowth. tentacruel is out of control causing destruction but misty convinces it to calm down despite one more attack from nastina it all ends well and ash and friends leave porta vista. brutella cameos at the end of the episode. misty catches the horsea.
this episode did air in the dub only twice but has been banned multiple times but will still cover it.
in puerta vista ash and friends visit the beach and go swimming and than take someones boat team rocket are also in town in a robotic gyrados which is what ash crashes into. we find a resturant owner named moe who owns the boat who misty agrees to help pay the damages. team rocket make a similar deal with a nasty owner named brutella. ash has the idea of using the pokemon to help get customers after team rocket get the advantage in getting customers this works until meowth sabotages the lighter and trips misty with a bannnaa we find out moe owns brutella money and needs the money tomarrow or the boat will be gone tomarrow. out of ideas ash and friends are worried until professor oak and ash’s mum turn up and explain the beauty contest is a way to get money. brock mcs the event with 1000 dollars for each category prize and the place gets packed. the first contestant is misty who does ok with squirtle and starmie. team rocket enter with a weird ekans koffing combo looking like a omasatar at this point gary enters with all his cheerleaders after kicking team rockets pokemon. team rocket try and attack using the submarine but ash defeats team rocket after calming the crowd down saying its fake. moe gets the money and brutellas place is destroyed in the events.
next time brutellas relative wants to destroy a tentacool habitat and misty gets a new pokemon.
again everyone survived their latest scare but are knocked out by the impact of the dragon rage but ash is missing all his pokemon but butterfree and pidgeotto and team rocket have lost all their pokemon including meowth they find a phone booth but don’t have money. pikachu charmander squirtle and bulbasaur are together and try and get help from a slowpoke but doesn’t work and are worried that they have been abanodned but haven’t meowth ekans and koffing find them but the posion types won’t help meowth battle them saying there aren’t bad pokemon only bad people which is not true in some episodes and they will only obey their trainers. the pokemon won’t feed meowth or untie him which angers him when they encounter a giant rhydon which they have to escape from ash finds a giant zapdos. team rocket run from a giant pokemon as well. team rocket go into the phone booth to do a collect call but it doesn’t end well for them so they use the cord of the phone booth to try and follow it to help. the pokemon are also looking for their trainers but it isn’t easy and team rocket find a giant pikachu. squirtle tries to negotiate with a giant blastoise which doesn’t work. after more encounters with giant pokemon they are finally reunited and are safe but in the process destroy the giant pokemon which we find out is from a theme park called pokemon land run by giovanni which angers him.
officer jenny explains that ash and friends as well as team rocket didn’t get off the st anne and leads a memorial service but they are still alive. ash is upside down due to the incident but they are ok mostly and the boat has sunk team rocket are delusional but alive thinking they are on a beach and then realise they are in the boat and are scared about what happened and they use ekans acid attack to open a hole which is stupid and won’t help them at all. misty sends goldeen to find a way out and goldeen finds team rocket and they agree to a truce to get out of the ship alive after realising that using the pokemon to battle would only make the situation worse due to the ballancing of the ship. they use brocks onix to make a staircase to help them get to the next floor they than find the powers off but charmander lights the way towards the engine rooom but they have to avoid a fire which has already damaged the stair case they use bulbasaur to help get through. when they make a hole in the engine room they use water type pokemon to get out ash and friends get out quickly but team rocket have trouble. At this point james reveals he still has his magikarp which can’t swim so it makes harder to get out. ash sends pidgeotto to find land and finds team rocket unconcicious but alive. they are starving and want to eat magikarp which is a bad idea as its only scales and bones so james kicks it into the ocean but than magikarp evolves into gyrados and starts to attack them. misty tries to lead them away from gyrados but it doesn’t work and they are hit by a dragon rage attack which creates a cyclone will they survive.

an a340 is headed for toronto for air france from paris on august 2nd 2005 with 297 passengers on baord under the command of captain alan rosuyah (who is near retirmenet)and fo fredrick no there is a passenger in the jump seat. the a340 at this point has had no fatal crash. the weather in toronto today is not good due to a summer storm but the weather en route is good so it is a supprise to the passengers the delay due to the weather in toronto the alternate airport is ottawa. toronto has a red alert so they can’t work on the planes due to the storm but the delay isn’t long today. the fo is flying the approach into toronto. the storm isn’t letting up though on approach moments from landing the crew think they are all ready for landing on runway 24left. it is a worrying landing but just after the passengers applaud the landing they overrun the runway on landing going off a ravine. the plane catches fire on impact from fuel and they have 90 seconds to get off before the plane explodes from flames. the captain is badly hurt but everyone survives the inital impact but with only 90 seconds to get off the odds aren’t good. rescuers are quick to get there but can’t get too close. people rush them to the terminal the survivers but they think there are dead due to the expolosion from the flames 90 seconds after the crash. amazingly that night they find everyone has survived the crash there are no deaths at all just some injuries. the investigation focuses on the pilots and the weather find that the pilots had forgotten to activate the reversers on landing and also where too high and too fast on landing to stop in time on the shortest runway at the airport the captain probablly didn’t fly again as he was nearly retired anyway at the time of the crash and was the worst injured.

ash and friends are preparing to leave vermilion city when they spot a luxuary cruise liner which they can’t afford but team rocket (in disguise) give them free tickets to the st anne but its a part of a plan from giovanni (the team rocket boss) to get all the pokemon and we also see giovannis persian (the evolved form of meowth which is jealous). on the boat its like a pokemon exhibition with lots of items and pokemon which has ash and friends excited. meanwhile a gentlemen battles a trainers starmie with his raticate and wins so ash battles him with his butterfree and ash is about to win when they stop the match. jessie and james and meowth are now on board as well james buys a magikarp with most of his and jessies money which is a useless water type pokemon. meanwhile the gentleman wants to trade raticate for butterfree which ash agrees to but soon regrets. jessie is angry at james for buying the magikarp so they suggest getting a refund but team rockets plan to steal all the pokemon takes priority but the trainers lead by ash on the boat defeat team rocket sending all of them but jessie and james and meowth off the boat ash than redoes the trade with the gentleman. but while this happens the boat hits rough waters and starts to sink but ash misty brock and their pokemon as well as jessie, james and meowth don’t get off in time will they survive.
ash and friends are finally in vermilion city and ash wants to go straight to the gym but brock says they need to go to the pokemon center where they go as pikachu is hungry and find out that the gym is very hard to win at as several pokemon are injured from battling there. at the gym we meet lt surge who thinks he will be battling misty but is battling ash who calls pikachu a baby and uses his raichu the evolved form of pikachu and it is a complete mismatch as pikachu is badly beaten by electric attacks. team rocket think they could steal raichu but instead cheer for pikachu. pikachu is badly beaten and at the pokemon center nurse joy suggests pikachu evoves into raichu with a thunderstone but pikachu refuses so brock comes up with an idea that pikachu should learn attacks like quick attack this leads to a much better rematch and ash ends up winning with pikachu giving him the thunder badge his third gym badge.
ash and friends are still a bit lost and are arguing this time over how ash got his pokemon although ash is telling the truth mostly. ash leaves them and finds a beach where he sees a krabby which he battles without using pokemon and catches it but the pokeball containing it disappears misty and brock explain that krabby went to professor oak which has ash worried they head to a lighthouse that they randomly find to ring professor oak among other things. we find out that gary has a lot more pokemon than ash from professor oak and that krabby is doing ok and that the lighthouse is run by a guy named bill. team rocket are going to invade the lighthouse. bill explains how that there are a lot of different pokemon and that he wants to see a rare pokemon and is after a dragonite which is coming accross the ocean but team rocket try and stop it by attacking it the dragonite goes away before bill gets to meet it.
next time another gym battle this time against a raichu.
ash and friends continue towards vermilion city when they fall into another pitfall trap this time set by a bunch of squirtle which after getting out of the trap pikachu attacks them and tries to shock the leader but another jumps in the way the standoff ends when officer jenny turns up who explains that they are a pokemon gang the squirtle squad that are causing trouble in town after being abandoned by their trainers meanwhile team rocket are spying on ash and friends when they encounter the squirtle squad who tie them up to steal team rockets picnic. meowth though convinces the squirtle squad to help steal pikachu which they agree to after earning their trust they succeed with pikachu also injured by a goldeen. ash tries to convince the squirtle to help get super potion for pikachu it takes a lot of convincing but they agree eventually. ash has trouble getting into town including another bridge that breaks and gets knocked out by gary at the entrance to the shop just by slaming the door in his face meanwhile team rocket steal from the shop to get gunpowder and dental floss. ash gets the potion and with help from officer jenny heads back to where misty brock and pikachu are. ash uses charmander to light the way at one point and than confronts the squirtle after healing pikachu team rocket attack and meowth grabs pikachu and they try and finish off the squirtle squad but ash saves the lead one and uses squirtle to save pikachu from team rocket and than the squirtle put out the fire that team rocket cause.
next time we meet a pokemaniac bill and ash finds out what happens with more than 6 pokemon in his party.
ash and friends are still lost heading for vermilion city and can only find spearow in the forrest but they spot a lizard pokemon on a rock which is a charmander a fire type. they find out that if its tail goes out it dies ash tries to catch it but it refuses to go into the pokeball despite being weak after talking to pikachu they find out that is waiting for its trainer so they leave it and find a pokemon center nearby. as they near the pokemon center it starts to rain heavily the situation bothers brock and ash but they don’t think someone would abandon it until they hear a guy named damian laughing about the pokemon he caught and said he abandoned charmander due to it being weak so brock starts to get into an argument with him about it that doesn’t go well and nurse joy has to break it up. brock ash and misty go out in the storm to get charmander and have to fight off some spearow with pikachus electricity (they got shocked too). at the pokemon center nurse joy heals charmander which is badly wounded but it gets healed. but the next morning they find that it has escaped by the pokemon center to head back to find damian. meanwhile team rocket plan an attack to get pikachu using a rubber balloon and a pithole trap this works until charmander turns up and uses flamethrower on them which stuns damian its power after ash and friends get out of the hole damian shows up to get charmander back but it refuses to go with him and ends up that ash catches it (despite him suggesting brock does).
ash and friends are a bit lost in a forrest finding their way towards vermilion city leading to another argument between ash and misty when they take a break they spot an oddish (a grass/posion type) ash wants to catch it but misty insists on it and battles it with starmie just as she is about to catch it a bulbasaur tackles it beating starmie so ash tries to catch the bulbaasaur with butterfree but it doesn’t work and the bulbasaur gets away with the oddish. in the next scene ash misty and brock fall off a bridge thats not on the map and brock falls to the river but ash and misty climb to safety they than fall into a tree after falling into a hole when bulbasaur shows up than brock finds them and gets them down. meanwhile team rocket are looking for a hidden village. we find out brock was saved by a girl named meleonie who runs a place for abandoned pokemon and she tries to protect the pokemon with the traps (which we see team rocket fall in as well). misty tries to apologise to the oddish but this only leads to a argument between her and ash that leads to bulbasaur trying to protect oddish. team rocket appear to attack with a flying stadium to grab all the pokemon with a hose but ash and friends get the pokemon into a building and than pidgeotto uses gust to get rid of them. ash than on melonies insistance tries to catch bulbasaur using pikachu to battle which has pikachu win by shocking it and than ash catches bulbasaur they say goodbye to meleonie and continue their journey.
a boeing 767 for etihopian airlines departs addis addaba for nairobi on its way to the ivory coast with 175 people on board. the captain has survived two hijackings before and is highly experienced as is the fo among the passengers includes a famous cameraman. the climb out is normal but just after crusing height is reached 3 etihopian men storm the cockpit and try and hijack the plane injuring the fo and asking the captain to fly the plane to australia way too far with the fuel they had. captain abate is worried that this won’t end the same way as the previous hijackings and tries to negotiate but it doesn’t work and the hijackers won’t divert the flight to get fuel. the only communcation with atc doesn’t go well with nairobi control who try and explain the situation but they won’t agree and force a ditching if needed. the plane continues southwards and the captain follows the coast originally but it doesn’t work as the hijackers realise they have been tricked so the captain heads for the comoros islands as the only option luckily there is an airport there but the hijackers won’t agree to land there. the engines start failing when they run low on fuel and the captain pleads for help from the passengers but only the camera man stands up to the hijackers and the plane starts to decend but nothing works at all in convicing them to land. the hijackers even disconnect the autopilot and the plane gets more out of control. some passengers even inflate their life jackets which is more dangerous than standing up to the hijackers the comoros islands are in reach though but it would be a flap less landing if they do. the crew are forced to ditch the plane on the ocean just short of the shore with the fo in the cockpit for the landing in his seat while the hijackers and the cameraman are all standing up as they hit the water. the landing is caught on camera somehow despite the plane being destroyed and the passengers disobeying the life jacket instruction 50 people survive including both pilots but not the hijackers or the cameraman. we never find out what organisation the hijackers belong to or who they are. both pilots return to flying after the crash.
next time a canadian summer storm leads to the first ever a340 crash 90 seconds to escape.
greens senator lidia thorpe has quit the greens to become an independent which will be a cost on the tax payer due to more staff for her. the cashless gamblign card is a good idea if done correctly. the coalition at least are trying something on housing affordabillity in nsw.
as ash and friends walk in the fog with ash and misty still arguing over the bike when brock suggests to calm them down they have a tea break and he gets ash to get some firewood which he does on misties insistance. ash finds a boy named joe running on a treadmill answering questions from his classmates from a rich persons boarding school joe doesn’t answer the questions right deliberately the bullies leave him after revealing they are from pokemon tech. joe reveals he has been bullied a lot but has to stay in school due to how his parents paid for him to go at least originally. joe explains how the school works saying students at certain stages have the qualifications of certain gym badges and shows a picture of giselle the head student. we find out team rocket went to the school and failed the exams with the lowest scores in the history of the schools. joe shows ash and friends the simulator of the battles and than they acctually battle with joes weipenbell versus misties starmie despite the advantage being with weipenbell joe loses in one hit. giselle than shows up and explains that gym leaders have tougher pokemon than normal trainers and says joe is an embarasmenet leading to a battle and her graveller beats mistys starmie quickly. ash than uses pikachu to battle giselles cubone and again despite the type disadvantage this time pikachu wins in a unconventional battle. at this stage team rocket turn up to steal the pokemon but giselle and the other students beat them quickly. joe decides to go back home and start his journey again with his starter pokemon and they say goodbye to ash and friends who continue their journey.
next time a hidden village with a lot of traps leads to a starter appearence.
ash is overconfident with two badges and is heading to vermilion city and beats a trainers rattata with pidgeotto for his 10th straight win so the trainer suggests he battles aj a trainer who is unbeaten so ash finds his unoffical gym. the battle starts with aj using sandshrew (a ground type) and ash using pidgeotto first (Due to pikachus attacks not being able to effect sandshrew) and despite pidgeotto flying it is no match neither is butterfree with the same advantage and pikachu won’t battle giving aj his 99th victory which has ash upset at losing and finds out that aj is harsh on his pokemon using crazy training techniques such as forcing sandshrew in water and using a taming whip. team rocket are seen spying on the gym and want to steal the pokemon. ash and aj disagree on strategies leading to a fight that doesn’t help anyone and after more arguments. team rocket try and get pikachu but steal sandshrew instead due to it putting the strength jacket on pikachu when aj finds sandshrew is missing it leads to him being upset and ash trying to lead a mutiny in the gym it doesn’t work. sandshrew gets away from team rocket it and meowth find their way to the gym which leads to ash realising aj is a good guy and they become friends aj than battles team rocket who turn up for his 100th win which he does easily. aj than leaves for his own journey saying goodbye to ash and friends who continue their journey.
ash and brock are going ahead of misty on the way to cerulan city where misty doesn’t want to go for some reason she doesn’t explain yet she comes up with some weird excuse of ghost types being there which doesn’t work nor does going to vermilion city as another idea but ash insists. meanwhile team rocket rob a warehouse to take a contraption that includes a hose. ash is supprised that misty isnt’ following them and than find the warehouse where officer jenny is investigating what happened and she is succpicious of ash and brock but they clear themselves with the pokedex and the gym badge. brock than flirts with jenny but it doesn’t work she explains what was stolen to them a hose and a vaccum. ash and brock than discuss the upcoming gym battle and ash asks about if brock knows anything about the gym leader he doesn’t give any info before ash heads to the gym while brock takes care of something that we don’t know what. ash gets a little lost but finds the gym and watches a show preformed by the three gym leaders who are sisters preforming a water ballet show ash than introduces himself to the gym leaders who don’t want to battle as the other pallet town trainers have beaten their pokemon and they only have a seel (a water type) so the gym leaders want to just give ash the badge when misty turns up and reveals to be a sister of the gym leaders after an argument between the sisters she ends up battling ash. pikachu won’t battle misty due to the friendship so ash has to use butterfree against staryu the battle starts pretty even although butterfrees stun spore isn’t effective when staryu goes in water but a watergun knocks butterfree into the water winning that round for misty so ash uses pidgeotto to battle mistys starmie (the evolved form of staryu) which just as ash is about to even the match as pidgeotto is winning team rocket attack to use the vaccum and hose to steal the pokemon but pikachu uses the water to shock them and stop them stealing the pokemon. ash gets the cascade badge as a result despite mistys protests and he and misty leave cerulan city with brock who turns up.
next time a trainer who wants win number 100 battles ash who is on a hot streak.
ash and friends are hiking towards mt moon which they are excited about due to a meteor that crashed there in ancient times when they hear a bunch of zubat attacking a scientist so ash uses pikachu to shock them (Which we will discover allowed brock to catch one) the scientist seymour is very happy at being saved which is over the top. seymour explains how the cave is being damaged by people looking for the moonstone putting lights up he is trying to protect the cave. seymour says he thinks pokemon came from outer space atleast clafairy is rumored to and its evolution line. ash and friends see a clafairy which ash wants to catch but seymour stops him as it needs to stay in the mountain when the clafairy encounters meowth of team rocket after the motto they battle ash and brock (team rocket) but meowth runs away to follow the clafairy which gets away with misty and seymour this is where we find brock has a zubat. misty uses her staryu (which makes its debut in this ep) to beat meowth and protect clafairy and than is reunited with ash and brock. brock explains pokemon food to ash which is quite interesting but only good for pokemon. pikachu and clafairy become friends and they find the moonstone as the clafairy pray to the moon stone after an odd scene where ash and friends try and understand the pokemon and figure that out but team rocket turn up and steal the moon stone so ash and friends try and get it back which is not easy but with the clafairys help they are able to get it back and team rocket are sent blasting off again using metronome. ash and friends watch the clafairy evolve into clafable and than say goodbye to seymour. ash and friends near ceruluean city when they encounter a sign that gary wrote on calling ash a loser angering him and sending him running off in anger towards the city.
next time ash battles the cerulean gym or will he as they don’t want to battle.
the episode starts with team rocket diging a hole for ash and friends to fall in but they fall in it themselves and we don’t see them till the end of the episode. ash and misty meanwhile arrive in town and run into a man named flint who sells rocks who shows them to the pokemon center and charges them for them sitting on their rocks. at the pokemon center ash is supprised to see another nurse joy (they are the same name in every place and she knows who ash is because of the events of episode 2). ash sees a poster for the pokemon league which he wants to enter finding out that he needs to win gym badges in battle against gym leaders but flint thinks ash has no chance. at lunch misty offers to help ash but he doesn’t agree to her help and she leaves ash with the bill which annoys him. ash gets his pokemon back from nurse joy and finds the gym where he meets brock the gym leader the battle is two on two but brocks onix is too strong for pikachu using bind after making fun of ash using pikachu. with pikachu trapped by the onix ash forefits the match and is discouraged and talks to flint about what happened and doesn’t think he could win at this point but after hearing brocks story about how brocks parents abandoned him and his siblings so he has to look after them on his own. flint tells ash he has a way of powering up pikachu to win the match which is a bit risky and misty thinks its a bad idea but pikachu learns thunderbolt in the process. ash challenges brock to a rematch first he uses pidgeotto who can’t beat brocks geodude or even damage it so ash is behind already but pikachu beats geodude in one hit with thunder bolt but onix is a much harder foe for pikachu who is scared and can’t aim thunder bolt well and after bind attack is not doing that well in the match until the sprinkler system goes off due to pikachus poor aim this helps ash who nearly wins the match but brocks siblings and the fact it was a little unfair advantage causes ash to forefit even though he was about to win. but brock finds ash leaving pewter city and gives him the boulder badge and wants ash to follow his dreams flint than reveals himself as brocks dad and agrees to look after his kids again so brock can travel with ash and become a pokemon breeder misty also joins ash and brock perminately as a travelling companion even though ash tries to run from her they trample on team rocket on the way out.
ash and misty continue to travel through the viridian forest and misty sees another bug which is a weedle (which is part posion type and has a stinger). ash tries to catch it with pidgeottto battling it (after pikachu refuses to and forgetting he has to weaken it). pidgeotto battles well but during this time misty runs into a kid dressed as a samurai who wants to battle a trainer from pallet town so he finds ash who is about to catch the weedle the distraction lets the weedle get away which samurai denies responsibillity for. ash battles samurai with pidgeotto exhausted it still battles samurais pinsir (a bug type) but loses badly so ash uses metapod which hardens breaking pinsirs pinsir’s so samurai switches to his metapod leading to a pointless battle as they only know harden which goes on for ages. meanwhile team rocket are still in the forrest trying to avoid beedril and get pikachu they have a paper tank to hide from beedril. the battle between the metapod ends a draw as the trainers faint and a herd of beedril approach and take ash’s metapod (they where informed by the weedle that samurai caused ash to lose). ash and misty flee with samurai to the laters cabin after finding metapod with some kakuna (the midform between weedle and beedril) to get away samurai critiercises ash (even though this is mostly his fault) he says he had battles with gary and the other trainers from pallet and they are much better than ash which makes him more upset. ash is worried about metapod and the next morning goes to get it but team rocket attack him to get pikachu (who isn’t with ash) but the motto alerts the beedril to their presence. ash barely gets metapod while avoiding the beedril while team rockets paper tank is destroyed by weedle. ash meanwhile tries to get metapod back into its pokeball and apologises to it when a beedril attacks metapod evolves into butterfree after attacking the beedril and than puts the beedril and team rocket to sleep with sleep powder attack. ash and samurai become friends and they say goodbye to each other as ash and misty leave for pewter city.
next time ash finds the first gym will he win against the rock types of pewter city.
an aeroflot flight from moscow to hongkong is operated by an airbus 310 (one of the first western planes to fly in russia). a pilot is taking his kids on holiday to hongkong captain kadrinski (although he is fo for the start of the flight) and the two kids are excited the kids are being looked after by another aeroflot pilot during the flight. there are 75 people on board tonights flight. the plane was one of the first western aircraft flown by aeroflot and only the best where ttrained to fly the a310. the flight is under the command of captain danluof the relief captain is kadrinski and the fo is parskarev. about half way over siberia kadrinski is now incommand after a change over. the kids than decide to visit their dad in the cockpit which is not unusual in 1994 but what is unusual is he lets the kids first the daugther than the son use the controls because of the autopilot the daughters time is uneventful but the son has a harder time with the controls and notices the plane turns by itself which concerns the pilots and the plane starts banking on its own to the left which is originally corrected by the autopilot but than while th eson is still at the controls the plane starts to bank to the right which leads to confusion as the instruments indicate a holding pattern as the plane banks hard and is starting to lose control. the people are forced into their seats as the plane banks hard and the autopilot tries to keep the plane aloft but they are now climbing and the fos efforts aren’t helping so the son has to try and recover the plane as his dad can’t get into his seat (and he isn’t 18). the forces are making it hard to move and the captain can’t get into the cockpit. now the autopilot is off which makes it harder as the plane is on the verge of stalling and the plane enters a nose dive of 40000 feet a minute this at least lets the pilots at the controls but the fo stalls the plane which makes things worse not better and uses the engines to try and fix it but doesn’t work. kadrinski (the dad and pilot) is back at the controls and they fight hard to save the plane and nearly level it out but its too late the plane hits a mountain killing everyone on board instantly. the russian investigation is confused at some of the limited evidence including the bodies of the pilots kids in the cockpit. the fact that the kids get most of the blame not the pilots is beyond me or the plane itself (which lacked warnings in certain situations). the investigation is astounded at what happened.
next time will strike three take out a pilot who has been hijacked twice before will his third be his last.
the nbl home and away season is over with perth scrapping into the top 6 just on percentage. air france will launch ottawa flights from paris. a sucpicious balloon has been shot down by the us believed to be from china. labor are leading 55-45 in the latest newspoll.
in the viridian forrest ash tries to catch the caterpie and succeeds on the first attempt ash is estatic and very happy which annoys misty (who is scared of bug type pokemon which caterpie is). ash is very happy and pikachu is quite happy misty tries to hide which upsets caterpie who seems to like misty. misty reveals she hates carrots and peppers as well (the opposite of ash) ash says misty is hurting caterpies feelings. ash tries to get away from misty but doesn’t get far as she wants her bike back or the quickest way out of the forrest. they spend the night in the forest with ash and misty still arguing a lot. meanwhile caterpie reveals its dream is to evolve into butterfree (its final stage). the next morning caterpie is sleeping next to misty which annoys her a lot and does more attacking of caterpie who goes into its pokeball upset when they spot a pidgeotto flying overhead (the evolved form of pidgey) ash tries to catch it but without weaking it won’t work so ash uses caterpie a complete mismatch as a bug type is weak against flying types after a battle that doesn’t last long caterpie is returned and ash uses pikachu to beat and catch pidgeotto with a thundershock attack so ash now has 3 pokemon. after another argument between ash and misty team rocket appear to try and steal pikachu after saying their motto. ash doesn’t give them pikachu and koffing attacks with sludge to blind pikachu. so ash uses pidgeotto but two against one is too hard for it and eventually loses so ash has to use caterpie. caterpie though uses a string shot tackle combo to stun everyone by beating team rocket which even impresses misty but when misty goes to congratulate caterpie it evolves into metapod in record time which makes ash think it will evolve again soon. misty sees a beedril so she and ash head deeper into the forest.
next time ash battles a samurai who creates problems for ash.
in viridan city the police officer (officer jenny) reports that there are pokemon theives in the area when she sees ash arriving in town with pikachu still hurt after an argument as jenny thinks ash stole the pikachu ash sorts it out by showiung jenny the pokedex and finding out the other trainers beat him there she takes him to the pokemon center by motorcycle misty sees them now carrying her destroyed bike. meanwhile the real villians team rocket see there faces on a wanted poster and want revenge on the town and get some rare pokemon they are jessie james and meowth (a normal type pokemon). the pokemon center is huge when they get there nurse joy isn’t happy at ash and jennys entrance and asks for a stretcher to get pikachu healed and takes it to the er room after telling ash to be more careful. ash has to wait in the waiting room for pikachu after a few hours decides to ring his mum on the phone who is supprised that ash is in viridian city (ash’s dad who we never see took 4 days to get there). ash is discouraged by what happened after his mum gives him a pep talk. ash than thinks about the legendry pokemon he saw and rings professor oak to discuss it but misidentifies it as a auticuno (a different legendry interestingly arcanine which is not a legendry is on the images). oak tells ash that he bet a million dollars on getting a new pokemon already (he lost the bet). misty than turns up and gets ash to promise to fix the bike but ash tells her about pikachu to convince her to delay the payment she eventually agrees. at this stage nurse joy brings pikachu out and says its better and it will be in the recovery room. officer jenny reveals that team rocket are over the town in a balloon team rocket attack with ekans and koffing (both poision types) they introduce themselves with their motto which they use every ep they appear in pretty much. team rocket don’t want pikachu yet saying they want rare and valuable pokemon and start to annoy ash with their plans. ash joy and misty try and get away to get the pokemon to safety but the power goes off but luckly some pikachu fix it. nurse joy sends the pokeballs to pewter city but team rocket find them forcing them to battle ash tries a pidgey (that gets scared by ekans) a empty one and than rattata (also flees scared) so misty uses her own goldeen (which can’t battle on land). ash tries to get away but crashes the stretcher into the bike so the local pikachu show up and help ash’s attack team rocket meowth is originally ok but than gets shocked with the extra power this sends team rocket blasting off but it destroys the pokemon center in the process. team rocket decide their next goal is to get pikachu. while nurse joy and officer jenny take a look at the damage and luckily the pokeballs got to pewter city ok. ash and misty are now in the viridian forest where they encounter a caterpie ash prepares to catch it.
next time will ash get the caterpie and team rocket begin to go after pikachu.

“pokemon i choose you” season 1 episode 1
in a big arena a gengar battles a nidorino with the laters attacks being not effective as they are normal type moves and loses tohypnosis so the trainer brings out onix we find out ash is watching the battle on tv who is a 10 year old who is about to begin his pokemon journey and wants to become a pokemon master. his mum tells him to get to bed but ash doesn’t want to sleep his mum puts on a video where professor oak explains the starters bulbasaur charmander and squirtle. ash than dreams of which one he will pick but ends up oversleeping despite a dodrio speaking at this point he realises he has broken his alarm clock and has overslept. when he gets to oaks lab he runs into his old rival gary oak who already has chosen his starter (which we won’t know for over 200 eps which it is) gary is already arraogent. as gary leaves ash is upset and proffessor oak turns up ash asks him for a pokemon but they are all gone as ash is very late (he would have picked squirtle if on time). ash insists on a pokemon and gets a pikachu an electric type pokemon who shocks ash immediately and again when he gets his pokedex and pokeballs. ash’s mum and some locals are there to see ash off after getting some supplies from his mum (who is supprised that pikachu is his starter and calls it weird so they get shocked). ash and pikachu than leave pallet town with pikachu tied up but ash unties it eventually in an attempt to make friends with it and finds it not all pokemon are put in pokeballs. ash than sees a pidgey (a flying type) and ash wants to catch it but pikachu won’t battle it or listen to ash. ash fails to catch it as it hasn’t been damaged and is laughed at by pikachu so ash tries some unconventional methods to get it but that doesn’t work either due to gust and sand attack being used against him he also loses some food to a rattata (a normal type). ash tries throwing a rock at the pidgey doesn’t work but on the 2nd attempt he hits a different flying type a spearow which is not as calm as a pidgey and it attacks ash and pikachu (because of jealousy according to the pokedex). pikachu shocks spearow but the spearow than calls for its flock so ash and pikachu try and run away from it. pikachu gets hurt by constact peck attacks ash tries to carry it to safety and jumps in the water encountering some other pokemon on the way meanwhile a girl (misty) is fishing and gets ash and pikachu and tells them about the pokemon center to heal pikachu in the nearby city (viridan) ash than takes mistys bike which angers her. in a storm ash struggles to get away from the spearow after crashing the bike it looks all over but pikachu uses thunder shock powered by the storm finishes off the spearow luckily. ash and pikachu are hurt but ok the bike is destroyed ash and pikachu than see a mysterious flying pokemon (a hooh) flying over the rainbow.

a 747 departs tokyo for osaka on a domestic flight on a japanese holiday weekend with 509 passengers and 15 crew on board which was common at the time for 747s to do domestic flights. the plane climbs to 24000 feet witt the fo in the captains seat originally the flight was to avoid the mountains and follow the coast. 12 minutes into the flight a flight attendant asks if a passenger can use the washroom but as he gets up an explosion effects the plane the crew notice all hydrolics is gone immediately and the oxygen masks drop down. the crew originally think the gear but its much worse (the gears not effected) they declare an emergency and return to haneda airrport (Where they left). in the cabin there is panic. the engines aren’t effected its the hydrollics where the problem is so there is no control and the plane is going up and down randomly. the crew are told nagoya is easier but they want haneda they also consider calling the company but won’t at this point. the crew can’t decend due to the hydrolic failure 5 minutes after the explosion a flight atendant calls the cockpit to tell them its in the rear. the crew are facing hypoxia so the situation is getting worse and now the masks at the back of the plane have failed. at japan airlines they are told the rear door is broken which makes them worried the tails damaged from the door coming off (thats half right). the crew are told about an american air force base as an option but they still want haneda. the crew try the engines to get control and initally it works slightly but than they lose control completly putting the plane into a dive. they lower the gear at 20000 feet which doesn’t help with the directional control as they now in themountains of centreal japan. the crew now have the terrain alarm go off the cabin crew trying to calm people down. the plane barely recovers in time from the dive they are now being flying for 22 minutes since the explosion the crew battle to avoid mountains with max power so they reenter the random up down cycle and the speed is too low. the plane enters another dive the worse yet sealing their fate as they hit a mountain just after barely regaining communcation with atc. the japanese rescue forces find the site and send a helicopter which won’t land thinking no one survived. finally they get there and find 4 survivors which means 520 are dead (still the record for a single aircraft crash and 2nd only to taneriffe). the lack of rescue the night of the crash caused a lot of deaths as did the impact at over 100 times the force of gravity. all 4 including an offduty flight attendnat were female and also at the back of thbe plane. they find the tail in tokyo bay meaning it came off during the flight they find after a tailstrike 7 years earlier they didn’t fix the rear preasure bulkhead properly and the repair was lucky not to have failed earlier.no crew in a simulator could keep the plane flying for 32 minutes (The length of the flight after the emergency) or land it.

the weather around new york is dreadful but the bosses still want them to handle 33 flights an hour at jfk airport even though it clearly isn’t safe with many runways shut. meanwhile at mendlin coloumbia a boeing 707 is boarding for jfk airport for avianca with 150 something onboard with enough fuel for the journey and two more hours flying a full load for a 707 they depart just after 3pm. jfk only has one runway for landing and all the aircraft are queing up only to go around and try again. the crew don’t request weather for boston their alternate or jfk. the captain doesn’t speak english well but is the only one with a lot of experience on the 707 the others only have 4 mounths experience in the cockpit of a 707. they are given their first hold from washington center at norfolk which is the start of their holding. the airspace around it is very busy even with the weather. and the stress at new york atc is not good the crew are told to decend by washington dc control. the plane has been operating without an autopilot the whole flight. the crew ask about boston but the contrroller won’t tell him. now down to 89 minutes fuel. they are told its open and accepting traffic but the holds have drained their fuel to a point that 30 minutes holding they are given another one of a hold meaning boston is out of the question. they are handed to new york atc with a lot of delays. the crew get misleading info when they think they are cleared but other planes abandon their approach and are told infinite holding for now the crew now say they can only hold for a few minutes due to fuel. they request priority and say they can’t make boston and can only hold for 5 minutes at this point they are finally cleared to jfk. they are handed to approach but he isn’t told about the fuel problem they are cleared to 7000 feet they are soon handed to a tower controller at this end of a shift the crew know if they need tro go around it will be difficult. they are third in the queque with 18 minutes of fuel left. and are told to goa bit faster and they lower the gear as the weather is getting worse and only have one chance for the 149 passengers. only 4 kms from the runway and 10 minutes left of fuel they encounter windshear which almost crashes the plane right away they are forced to abort the landing and go around. they are handed back to approach control and have to go through the whole procedure again without enough fuel to and they are told to climb 3000 feet but the controller doesn’t understand the fuel issue. they are down to only a few miuntes of fuel at this point and have to hold for the equilivant of 15-20 minutes the crew are desperate but the controller won’t clear them right away even though they are 2 in the queque 3 minutes of fuel is not enough as the engines all fail of running out of fuel they crash on long island almost immediately at 930pm they crash. a bit over half the passengers live but only the senior flight attendant survive of the crew. the cause is blamed on the pilots even though atc is more responsible or equally but the pilots are critiercised for only asking for priority the weather is also a major factor in the crash and no autopilot didn’t help.

a 757 is held up in miami a few days before christmas due to delays of connecting passengers eventually leaving late with 163 people on board for cali columbia. the dusan famiy of 4 only just made it from new jersey to connect to the flight. mercades remieriz got on on standby it is her 21st birthday the night of the flight (20th of december). the flight is delayed due to congestitation increasing the delay to two hours. captain nicholas tufory and fo donny r willams are the piltos tonight the captain flew to cali 6 days before the fo has never done the route before. as its nearly christmas they are getting ready for the holidays. the plane is crusiing at 36000 feet there is no radar in cali due to it being damaged. mersades switches seats to the row behind her due to a college student talking to her mum who was embarasing her. the dusan kids fight over the window seat the daughter ends up getting it as they agreed to swap for decent. the plane at this stage is starting its decent. calis airport is in the mountains at the end of a valley with 4300 meter mountains nearby. the approach requires them to pass over two beacons talua and rosa before overflying the runway and than landing to the south. atc without radar will have trouble tracking the plane so he asks for the distance from the field. at this stage 63 miles from the field they are cleared to 15000 feet at this point and to report talua but the pilots think they are told to forget talua which is wrong and will lead to more confusion the controller thinks directly means no delay. the crew are than asked to approach runway 19 which is quicker approach but the crew know they need to rush to get down in time. they deploy the speed breaks to increase decent rate the crew are confused when asked about talua and the crew can’t find it in their charts. the plane is now passed talua and don’t realise so they ask to head to roso the next beacon but the computer doesn’t list it so they end up heading towards bogota still decending when they realise they turn back on track but there is now a wall of mountains between them and the airport. the pilots now realise they are off course so they turn back but its too late the gpws sounds so they have to go to full power but don’t disarm the speed breaks the plane hits a mountain. the last call says 9000 feet as their altitude but don’t say dme. a call to atc confirms the crash at 942pm it takes till the morning to get to the site. meresades remierz the college man and 3 of the dusans survive the crash (the mom was killed). the dad tries to find his kids but its not an easy effort. marsades and the college boy try and help each other no one else survives. michelle dusan has to be carried off the mountain when rescued and her brother dies of injuries later so only 4 people survive the crash michelle survives. it is not shown in the ep but a dog also survives. investigators determine even though there where survivors the crash was labeled unsurvivable all the people who live where near the wing of the plane. the cause of the crash was pilot error as they misdid the approach and several errors from the crew. its also called a controlled flight into terrain accident (cfit).

a embrarer 120 brasila departs atlanta for gulfport missipi with 29 people (26 passengers two pilots and a flight attendant). captain ed ganaway is not the first pilot in his family fo matt wormadam is a big fit in the cockpit of the small aeroplane. the flight is slightly late by 30 minutes the takeoff is normal. the climb is smooth early. the plane doesn’t reach crusing height of 24000 feet as a bang is heard and its clear theres a problem with the left engine (its a propeller plane) and the plane starts to go left passengers immediatley see a damaged engine the autopilot goes off captain tries to get the plane under control but at the rate there falling it won’t be long before they crash at 17500 feet. they want to return to atlanta but adjusting the engine doesn’t help and they get a fire warning from the engine. the plane is falling fast and are struggling to fly straight the captain doesn’t know how bad the damage is. the planes decent is slowed but not halted and they are going fast the captain has landed a plane with a engine failure before but not this bad. they head back to atlanta but its 90kms away. the pilots tell the flight attendant that they declared an emergency and they will be diverting back to atlanta she doesn’t tell the pilots the damage the plane is decending too fast to make atlanta so they need another airport they also ask for the fire trucks but they are never called they head for west georgia regional airport which is a small airport. more warnings go off and they are at 7000 feet which is giving the controller problems finding them. they ask for more info about the airport which is ok. they are falling too fast to make it and atlanta centre can’t find them so they are eventually handed to atlanta approach who run west georgia regional airport as 4500 feet is out of there radar range. they are 13 kms away from theairport 2 minutes flying time but even thats out of range now. ganaway spots the damage for the first time and is shocked at the bad damage and thinks he will have more trouble landing. the crew tell atlnata they declare an emergency but the controller wants them to go south of the airport which is not going to work at all so the pilots ask for the quickest route. at this point they can’t find the airport and are out of the clouds the flight attendant is also nervous the pilots are at1900 feet and out of the clouds. 6 miles though is too far and radar contact is lost at this point having dropped well over 400 meters in a minute. but 6 kms is too far and have to belly land as its to late to lower the gear. the plane crashes into a field but no one is killed initally and the people who own the field finally call 911 and get rescue veichles to find it. the plane crashes fire on impact and the captain is knocked out the first officer has to get out of the cockpit using the crash axe and gets help from a passenger dave mckorckell everyone else has escaped normally but are injured or on fire. dave comes to the resuce of the first officer after the rescuers get there even though the oxygen cylinder raptures both of them are safe but the captain dies of his injuries before fully being rescued. the ntsb investigate the crash and are worried after recent brasila crashes so its not an isolated case they figure out the propller is the problem the corosion on the blade is a likely suspect and the repair reports point to one man christopher bender who didn’t know how he was involved initally the propller manufacturer and a fatigue crack caused the crash but the ntsb don’t figure out why the post crash fire killing people 9 people also die of their injuries (all of them passengers) but the first officer flight attendant and the guy who rescued the first officer all live.

a bac oneelveen departs biringham for malaga spain with 87 people onboard. the crew are good friends especially the flight attendants but the first officer alistar atchinson doesn’t know them as he is from manchester and drove down that morning the captain is tim lancaster. the walkaround doesn’t find problems but the plane is just out of maitenence where they fixed the windscreen. the takeoff is normal. the pilots have the plane on autopilot and the flight attendants ask the pilots about drinks alls normal at this point until 17000 feet when the windscreen falls off with an explosion sucking the captain out and a white fog forms. the first officeer declares mayday but the control collom is pushed forward forcing a dive from the captains legs. the flight attendants try and keep the captain from falling out of the plane. it feels like a tornado in the cockpit but the response from atc to his maydays isn’t heard. attichinson has a bit of control and puts the plane into a steep decent due to oxygen starvation possibility and to avoid other traffic. the speed is very fast. the captain is now on the side of the plane the 3 male flight attendants are now holding on while the female one is trying to calm the passengers although one of them is hurt and has to stop the chief flight attendant stops leaving only one holding on but the fo tells the last one to keep holding on incase hes alive and to keep him from flying into the engine. the plane finally gets to hear from atc and requests gatwick but southhampton is a better airport in terms of distance but he will be worried about the runway length which is not gurranteed to be long enough (nor is bourmoth which is suggested) the fo thinks hes dead the weight is a worry as well. they land safely in southhampton airport the only other injury is the first flight attendant who went to the rescue of the captain but thats not all the captain survived his ordeal so there are no deaths on ba5390 which is amazing and on the ground in southhampton is when he came back to concisious it was clear the first officers flying saved him. the investigation doesn’t have much to go on other than the mising windscreen he talks to maitence people in biringham who worked on the plane the night before the accident who initally doesn’t give much info until a call reveals the bolts where too small on the windscreen which meant it came off even though the original ones where also too small these were even smaller by just a small bit and even though he asked for help they didn’t have the right size and despite looking it was just a small difference that made all the difference the work finished at 6am just in time. they use a psychologist to figure out what he was thinking but this leads to the investigation report not being accepted by british airways (as it never had been done for human factors).

the crime rate in alice springs is out of control the fact that they need to do sometihing on alcohol is obvious but also have to be careful on allienating aboriginals. australia day needs to change for country unity. the voice to parlimanet idea needs support from both sides as it is very important to fixing wrongs and helping the indigenious people.
an a330 departs toronto for lisbon with 306 people on board august 23 2001 under the command of captain robert pieche and fo dirk diager. the takeoff is normal atc clears them south of the normal route due to congestition. the crew do a fuel check and nothing is unusual. the first sign of trouble is an oil pressure warning and an oil temp warning which is confusing and doesn’t tell them anything on its own. they contact maitence who don’t know anything about the issue. the crew believe its a computer error. the fuel imballance warning comes on next with the right being lower than the left by quite a bit they say they should transfer fuel using the crossfeed valve if its not a leak the crew do it but unfortunately they are facing a massive fuel leak in the right engine. they are still 300 kms from land the crew are confused about the warnings and thinks its an error. there is no warning about a possible leak but the fo realises the fuel is dropping fast but with a flash light they can’t tell the leak when looking. they realise they can’t make lisbon and request diversion due to a fuel problem to azores which is over 300 kms away the crew declare a fuel emergency. the pilots until 613am believe its a computer bug when the right engine fails they don’t fix the crossfeed and in fact put no 1 at full power and request a lower altitude. they are still 135nms from the airport when they contact them the crew struggle for 10 minutes but think its a computer problem still but the first officer is starting to believe what is true. at 626am the plane loses its other engine but if it all goes well can glide to a runway but the margin is tight so they think they might have to ditch in the ocean which would be a disaster if they have to. the crew must manuver the plane to keep the plane in the air to glide to a runway. the crew can’t see the runway even though they should. the crew face another problem with the speed going very fast so even though they could land on the runway they face a cliff if they don’t stop which is barely better than a ditching so even though the runway is long. they get the gear down manually and against the odds land safely in azores blowing tyres and barely stopping breaking the gliding record set in 1983 by an air canada flight. the checks show the plane had definately had a leak. they investiagte the recent maitence 5 days before the flight when they didn’t fix the engines pipes properly even though a mechanic was worried the superviser told him to clear the plane to fly. the pilots also get some of the blame for their handleing of the emergency including the crossfeed valve activation.

an md-80 departs puerto vallata mexico for san franssico with 88 people on board most of which are holiday makers returning to the us. captain ted thompson and fo bill tansky are in command of the plane today. the crew are unaware of cut costing that put the plane at risk. the crew start having trouble with the horizontal stabilizer which is pushing the plane down but the crew use the elevators to keep the plane climbing. they try using things to free the stabilizer but doesn’t help much the crew don’t use autopilot due to the checklist. the crew are having trouble keeping the plane climbing to its cursing altitude of 32000 feet. maitence doesn’t know anything and in fact they don’t have anything to help with the problem. they want to divert to lax but dispatch is against it mostly due to delays it would cause they ask for an instructor but don’t get one. they battle to keep the plane flying and it enters a dive but they barely recover but the plane is in serious trouble but they get under control they declare an emergency to la and request a block altitude. the crew tell the passengers the plan to divert to la but the passengers are still rightfully scared. the crew decide to risk more trouble shooting. the crew are worried about how the plane will react if they try and land and maitence is still no help and are not happy with the situation. the crew tell the passengers that they have a problem as well. the crew take the risk of staying out of the water to save people on the land but if they crash they doom everyone on board. after more trouble shooting it is getting worse and they think its damaged than the stabilizer breaks putting the plane into a nose dive from 18000 feet the crew battle to save the plane but the engines fail and they go inverted. the pilots fight to save the plane but they hit the water killing everyone board and no bodies are intact. the worries about the t tail design. the stabilizer design was destroyed and the jackscrew was destroyed. the pilots making it worse with the controls. alaska airlines is looked at and find that cutting costs on maitence lead to safety inspections being reduced to an illegal rate a whistle blower reports them to the faa but lost his job and the presure to keep planes in the air had a roll in the crash. john leotine the whistleblower was conisdered a problem by the company and lost his job he also had ordered the part fixed that caused the crash.
next time an a330 must glide to a emergency landing over at the atlantic with over 300 lives on the line.
